Foamy Banana Sweet Treats Bath Cream by Imperial Leather

Hey girls,

Long time no see hey, well… today I have a short and sweet little review for you all. I have been using one of Imperial Leather’s Sweet Treats Bath Cream in Foamy Banana and I’m loving the idea of there sweet Treats Bath Creams which are named after and smell like real sweets.

The Foamy Banana Bath Cream is just a dream. It is a thick pale yellow gel like cream that lathers really well and feels fabulous on the skin leaving it feeling cleansed, soft and scented. It even produces a good amount of bubbles when used as a bubble bath. It smells AMAZING! Exactly like the foam banana sweets, such a sweet, fabulous scent. I use mine as a bubble bath, a shower gel and a body wash and it really is a lush treat for your skin. Not only does it smell good but it leaves skin feeling soft and smooth too.

18555887_10212649394494116_1658239343445678962_n

I can’t wait to try the other ‘flavours’ out, the Sherbert Lemon and Marshmellow bath cream are already on my shopping list. The bath creams retail at around £1 and a big 500ml bottle will last a while so they are definately bargains. I picked mine up in Boots but they are available in Asda, Home Bargains and Superdrug too.

Strawberry, Rose, Mango & Lavender Fizzing Bath Bombs from Home Bargains

Hey ladies,

I love nothing more than soaking in a gorgeous fizzing bath – I love myself a good bath bomb so I was excited to try these little bargain bath bombs after spotting them at the back of the shelf in saver store, Home Bargains. They were about 79p each and there are four different scents available, they are: Rose, Strawberry, Mango and Lavender. I have bought them in the past so these were a second time buy for me so I thought I’d fill you lot in on them.

16865014_10211855689731993_295461428036713778_n

I really love the packaging of the bath bombs, they look much more expensive than what they are and I think they look very pretty, pretty enough to be put into a little box and given as a gift to someone maybe.

16865221_10211855696172154_6512230368410066680_n16996405_10211855701412285_8751353747594958181_n16998796_10211855707732443_1792669504402501689_n17021519_10211855692972074_3057141724882917424_n

The ingredients list is printed on the packaging and the bath bombs each have their own mild yet fabulous scent and they smell lovely when they’re fizzing away under the warm running water, I love watching them fizz! The only negative thing I have to say about the bombs is the fact I did find the fragrance soon disappeared once it had stopped fizzing in the water and the scent of them never lingered as long as I hoped it would although my skin was left silky soft afterwards and my sensitive skin did not feel irritated.

My two favourites were the Strawberry bath bomb and the Mango bath bomb. Overall, I liked them. They are great little bargain and at 79p each you can’t complain, hey.

The packaging of the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is very pretty, I love the floral detailing on the lid. The lipstick itself is a gorgeous rich red colour with slight orange undertones and it is a good quality, highly pigmented, full coverage shade that seriously stays put.

It glides on the lips like a silky, creamy lipgloss and quickly dries to a matte finish. It is enriched with natural moisturisers including vitamin E and sunflower seed wax. Best thing is the lipstick is suitable for vegans and 100% cruelty free which is great. I love it.

Review: Sanex Dermo Sensitive Roll On Deodorant

Hey Chicks.

Another deodorant review for you all, if you have read my other posts you will know that I am a roll-on deodorant kinda girl. Aerosols always give me a banging headache and are not as gentle on my sensitive skin and deodorant sticks often leave me with sticky pits so I always opt for roll-ons instead.

15578958_10211160788879906_7163141262029627031_n

The roll-on I’ve been using for the past month is by Sanex and it is their ‘Dermo Sensitive‘ roll-on. The packaging is uniquely different to others out there. The roll on is at the bottom instead of the top so no need to stand it upside down when the bottle is nearing empty as its already upside down. The label is simple and the packaging can be recycled although there is no cruelty free bunny on the label.

15622022_10211160782439745_3380647356030361408_n

It has a lovely mild scent, quite floral and subtle and I really like how it smells, it doesn’t smell artificial at all and it doesn’t give me a migraine after using it. It absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves my delicate skin feeling soft and moisturised. It contains zero alcohol so it doesn’t irritate or dry out the skin.  I don’t think it gives 24-hr protection as it says on the bottle and I don’t think it would keep odour or sweat at bay when exercising but it did keep me dry and stink free for a few hours although I do need to reapply it regularly throughout the day.

15542217_10211160794840055_6795330204311271784_n

I would use it again, I just wish it gave me longer protection from sweat patches and odour without the need to reapply it. It is a cheap deodorant, small enough to pop into your handbag and it is gentle enough for sensitive skin but if you are a major sweater – I’d look for a deodorant that offers more protection.

So, the hunt for the perfect deodorant continues…

Crabtree & Evelyn – Somerset Meadow Ultra Nourishing Hand Therapy

Hey girls,

Today I’ll be reviewing a luxurious hand cream ‘Somerset Meadow’ from Crabtree & Evelyn’s ultra nourishing hand therapy collection. I have the 25g tube which costs around £6. There are 50g and 100g tubes available too.

15338854_10211075295462624_6827714501382901155_n

The cream comes in a squeeze tube and the colour of it is lovely; it is a gorgeous shade of vibrant green which is very pretty and eye-catching. On the back of the tube is the ingredients list which goes on forever.

15442297_10211075307982937_1788619177347686014_n

The scent of the cream is sweet smelling, ‘perfumey’ and floral and I actually love how it smells. It is quite a strong smelling cream although I don’t think it is an overpowering scent even though it does contain artificial parfum, which is an ingredient I usually try to avoid due to fragrance sensitivities and skin irritation.

15380534_10211075306422898_6535281232017434114_n

The cream has a thick, non-drip consistency and it spreads easily and richly over the hands but one thing I didn’t rate was how long it took to dry. It was around 15-20 minutes before the cream began absorbing into my skin and there was a slight greasy feeling for a short while afterwards although once thoroughly absorbed my hands did feel soft, smooth and very nourished and my nails looked shiny and felt much stronger, not to mention my hands smelling absolutely amazing.

Would I buy again?

Yes possibly. Although next time I buy one of the hand creams from Crabtree & Evelyn I think I’d like to try another ‘scent’ from the collection instead. Pink Magnolia sounds amazing as does Caribbean Island.

Take a look at the other scents here.

Review: Lord & Berry Bronzer

Hey Sexies!

You guys may know I’m a Birchbox subscriber and today I love Birchbox a whole lot more than I ever did before. I got myself a freebie! Woohoo! After reviewing some of my monthly box goodies, I was allocated some points to spend in the Birchbox shop and I bought myself a lovely little bronzer from Lord & Berry in the shade ‘Sienna’. The bronzer is £19 to buy but I got mine for 200 Birchbox points, so basically I got mine free.

15220160_10210969188010004_8192790447661847972_n

15267897_10210969195970203_7577575449946833585_n

Most of you will know all about Lord & Berry, but for those who don’t they are an Italian based cosmetics company known as the eyes and lips specialists who make high-end beauty products loved by make-up geeks, MUA’s and beauty bloggers worldwide.

Thoughts:

I love the bronzer because it matches my skin tone perfectly. I always find it difficult selecting the right shade of bronzer but I’ve done quite well picking the shade ‘Sienna’ which is perfect and not to dark for my skin tone. I’m the palest of pale, so I often rely on bronzers to give my Casper-like complexion a bit of faux glow and warmth but most bronzers that I have used in the past have always been too dark for my skin tone, too shimmery leaving my face looking like Edward Cullen in daylight, making my skin look absolutely mingin’ like I need a good wash or they can be too drying on my skin making me look older. This bronzer just gives me a lovely natural glow with a matte finish and it doesn’t look OTT, fake or leaving me resembling an Oompa Loompa like most do.

No flash in daylight

What I especially love is the powder blends easily and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines or wrinkles which is great as bronzers and powders often make me look older than I am but this is just lovely, it looks subtle, very natural because it doesn’t contain any shimmer and it makes my pasty complexion look a hell of a lot more healthier. Overall I think this powder is an excellent all purpose bronzer and works well for tanning the skin as well as contouring – leaving my skin looking one hundred percent natural. It is a bit expensive compared to inexpensive drug store brands but it’s totally worth it.

Buy the Lord & Berry Bronzer for £19 here. There are various shades to choose from.

Review: Divine Shine Coconut Hair Oil – Inecto Naturals

Hey chicks.

A while back I reviewed a Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner from Inecto Naturals and I liked the brand so much I thought I would give their Divine Shine Coconut Hair Oil a whirl to see if it is any good for my damaged hair. Inecto say they don’t use unnecessary chemicals in their products and they claim to be vegan friendly, saying their products themselves are made cruelty free and are not tested on animals.

fghghj.png

First impressons:

The oil comes in a 100 ml clear recyclable bottle which looks simple and fresh. It has a anti-leak pump dispenser with a lid which is always good especially if you’re accident prone like me and always knocking things over. The oil is itself is clear and transparent, doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on the hands and it smells divine like coconuts. I think the bottle looks cool and attractive and I love Inecto’s packaging and their way with words on the back of the label.

The ingredients contain:

Cyclopentasiloxane, dimethiconal, Dimethicone, Bis-Hydroxy/Methoxy Amodimethicone, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Parfum.

Results:

After washing and towel drying my damaged hair I pumped a little oil out of the bottle into my hands and ran my fingers throughout my mid lengths and ends before styling with a hair dryer. Once dried, my dry hair felt smooth, silky soft and my frizzy ends were tamed and no longer noticeable. The oil left my hair looking very shiny and glossy and it literally felt like silk compared to how it usually feels. Not only that, my hair was left smelling absolutely delicious and the coconut scent of the oil is to die for. I love how it smells and I found it lingers too and doesn’t fade too quickly. I did notice that when I used too much of the oil and especially near my roots, my hair looked greasy and oily, so I do recommend using sparingly, using a little each time and adding more if needed as well as keeping the oil away from the roots. I also use the oil on dry hair for added nourishment and shine and it works just as well on dry hair as it does on wet hair. I do recommend this coconut oil and I believe it is a bargain, priced super cheap at around £1.29 from Home Bargains.

Review: Peroxide Free Teeth Whitening Strips by Whiter Smile

3333333333333

Hey sexy ladies,

I’ve another teeth whitening product review for y’all, this time it is some teeth whitening strips which I’m relatively new to as I always favour my whitening gels and tend to use them the most. The whitening strips I have been using are from a company called Whiter Smile and there is 14 sachets included in the box and each includes an upper strip and a lower strip in each foil packet. After reading the instructions and placing the strips over dry teeth – they should then be left on for 30 minutes.

222222222222222

Before applying, I had to make sure my teeth were bone dry so the strips would stick to my teeth, first time I used them I forgot to wipe and dry them and the strips would not stick so I had to open a new sachet. I found them very easy to use and apply with the trickiest part being keeping my teeth dry from saliva before applying them. Everything else, no probs.

15095682_10210878942673927_5549262635547551812_n

The strips don’t taste bad at all and they have a slight minty taste when they are on the teeth. After using the strips twice a day for one week my teeth are noticeably whiter by a shade or two. The strips are gentle on enamel and peroxide free so I did not feel any tooth pain, sensitivities or gum irritation whilst using and after using. Because they are peroxide free they don’t work at whitening teeth as quick as peroxide based gels although they do work and I found them to be much gentler on teeth, enamel and gums too which makes these strips perfect for those with sensitive teeth or those who don’t have heavily stained or discoloured teeth who are looking to go a shade whiter.

5555555555555555555555555555555555555The strips gently and gradually whiten teeth compared to the very fast whitening results and often enamel damaging that peroxide gels have. I was actually surprised at how well these worked and I would defo buy them again. I think the strips would come in handy when you’re in a rush or on the go as they are quite transparent and invisible so can be worn whenever and wherever so I love them for that reason alone. I seen slight results after the first results but by day 2 and 3 I saw a huge difference. My teeth are quite white anyway but as I have ran out of my usual gel they were in need of a top up and I was happy with the results of the strips. I will be buying my gels again but I will certainly use these strips again when my. Teeth need a little brightening so my enamel doesn’t suffer from unnecessary damage.

15178075_10210878936993785_6498557709470040632_n

So, finally I would recommend these for those with slight discolouration as they have made my teeth appear clean, glossy and white but if you have heavily stained or really yellow teeth I recommend Denivit toothpaste and Dr Collins Whitening Gels as I don’t think these strips would give you the results you want. Alongside the strips I have been using Denivit anti-stain and whitening toothpaste as well as brushing my teeth and pulling with activated charcoal so I think all three have worked amazing together.

If you’d like to buy these whitening strips from Whiter Smile you can do so by clicking here.

Read my Denivit Anti-Stain Toothpaste review here. Best. Toothpaste. Ever.

For those who are curious – I buy my Dr. Collins 22% Peroxide Whitening Gels from Dentstore.

Kate xo
