I absolutely love this Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter and this is the 3rd or 4th tube I have bought. It is a 2-in-1 skintone adapting concealer & highlighter which contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E and also has an oxygen complex which allows the skin to breathe. It lasts for up to 13 hours wear and helps to banish signs of fatigue and illuminates the skin too.
The Match Perfection Concealer & Highlighter comes in a small 7 ml cream-coloured tube which features navy blue and hot pink writing, a blue screw-off lid and a brush tip applicator. To use you just squeeze the tube and the concealer comes out at the top saturating the brush applicator. The concealer itself has a lightweight, creamy consistency and it doesn’t have a scent. I chose the shade 010 Ivory which is very fair although there are other shades to choose from.
I use this on both my bare skin and over make-up. When I skip foundation, I just apply a little of the concealer under my eyes to brighten up and even-out my skintone. It looks natural and you would never guess I was wearing it as it looks like my own skin. After applying my foundation, I use the concealer underneath my eyes to conceal and brighten my dark circles, make my under eyes look less ‘sunken’ and for highlighting my forehead, nose, cupids bow and underneath my cheek contour to make them ‘pop’ and look more defined. I apply a loose banana powder or a pressed setting powder over the concealer to make sure it stays put. The formula is thick, but not too thick and I love how lightweight the concealer feels on my skin which feels ‘breathable’. I hate heavy concealers which make my skin feel suffocated. It has a matte finish and I don’t find it looks cakey or powdery after applying or throughout the day.
I absolutely love how well it brightens my dark circles and it helps to conceal my deep-set, ‘sunken’ under eyes by making them appear plumper & firmer and less noticeable. I also love the precision brush applicator tip which is easier to use and you just screw of the lid, give it a squeeze and your ready-to-go. I find it blends better with my fingers by dabbing it lightly with my tips and it blends in well on the skin too. Also, one tube lasts me about 3-4 weeks and I use mine almost everyday.
I would say it is a light to medium coverage concealer so if your looking for a full coverage concealer I wouldn’t recommend this one but if you just want to add a little brightness to your eyes & skin as well as a bit of light coverage then this is perfect for you. My complexion is quite clear although it can look dull sometimes so I love how this brightens up my complexion as well as lightly concealing dark circles, eye bags, etc… and it is also budget friendly too, so what’s not to love, hey!
I tested a bit of the concealer on a small patch of my psoriasis so you dolls can see the coverage/brightness for yourselves. Please keep in mind that my psoriasis are raised a little bit and I have only applied one layer of the concealer to my skin.
I hate taking photographs of my psoriasis, but oh well – ha. I hope they help.
DISCLOSURE: I bought this product with my own money.
WHERE TO BUY?
I bought mine HERE for £6.49 on Amazon UK. Although it will be available to buy in-store/online at most drugstores, beauty stores and supermarkets such as Asda, Boots, Superdrug, etc….
I can’t even begin to explain how EXCITED I have been for this months Glossybox. I’ve literally had butterflies in my stomach since September and I’ve been checking my emails religiously for a dispatch email from Glossybox. I don’t even know why I have been extra excited this month. Ha. Probably down to the fact that us glossies will receive a gorgeous, pretty, fab, lovely, adorable MERMAID or UNICORN themed box this October. C’mon girls… who doesn’t love mermaids and unicorns! Not only that, this month we will all receive five FULL SIZE make-up products with a total value of £51.48 which is definitely something to be happy about considering we have only paid £13.25 for the subscription.
Mr. Postman delivered my box today and I have been sent the gorgeous pink & blue UNICORN box. I’ll admit I was kind of wishing for the MERMAID box as I’m totally a mermaid at heart but I was still over the moon with my gorgeous unicorn box design and it is sitting on my dressing table right now looking FAB.
This cream-to-powder blush is highly pigmented and a little goes a long way. It claims to give a natural, dewy finish and is applied to the cheeks and blended to create a powder finish. Each box will contain one of six shades. unfortunately I got the shade CRIMSON which is so bright its unreal. I would have preferred a more subtle, lighter shade as I think the crimson shade will look ridiculous against my pale skin, I’m guessing I’ll look like a clown. I’ll give it a go nonetheless and I’ll let you guys know what I thought of it. I’m quite new to Sleek Make-Up and I only own one of their products which is the Black Eyebrow Powder – which I’m not a big fan of so maybe this blush will be the decider for me as to whether or not I like Sleek products and if I will buy them again.
So this Brush Cleaning Egg from Kawaii Enterprise is a bright pink silicone make-up brush cleaner which is easy to use and helps to keep your brushes in great shape and free from bacteria. You just pop your two fingers inside the egg, wet your brush and add a bit of liquid soap or facial cleanser. You then swirl your brushes against the nodules and bumps and run the bristles of your brush down the deeper grooves to realign the brush hairs without damaging them. I think this is a great little pick for this months box as everybody needs clean brushes – but I already own a set of brush cleansing eggs which I’ve reviewed here, so there is no point in having another really. I’m sure my sister will love the Brush Cleansing Egg so I’ll give it to her or maybe I will add it to a bundle of other beauty products and run a GIVEAWAY for you lot. What do ya think?
The Magic Brow Perfect Brow Pencil is a highly pigmented pencil and it has a marbelised tip which is swirled with two complimentary shades so it looks natural and produces a gorgeous colour variation found in natural brows. I got the brunette shade as I told Glossybox I had black hair in my beauty profile so I’m guessing you will get a shade based on your beauty profile… so make sure if you ever change your hair colour to update your details on the website. I really like Lord & Berry products and I own quite a few of their products already so I’m really happy with this high end product being in this months box. I can’t wait to give it a try and I hope I like it as I’m struggling with my brows at the minute, haha. The pencil retails at £14 so it is worth more than the subscription itself.
The Crème Color from Bang Beauty is a multi-purpose cream which can be used on the lips, cheeks and eyes. It comes in a small tub and has a super shiny mirrored lid which looks beautiful, it is also vegan and cruelty-free so thumbs up. I have never heard of Bang Beauty before so I cant wait to give this product a go as I love discovering new brands – I suppose that’s the best part about subscribing to a beauty box. The Crème Colour is priced at £19.50 so the value of thus product alone outweighs the £10 subscription cost.
I’m not really into my eyeshadow palettes because I’m absolutely awful at eye makeup and prefer to get my eyes done by a MUA – but, these mermaid and unicorn colours are so pretty, dreamy and amazing that I think it’s about time I taught myself how to apply eyeshadow properly. YouTube to the rescue! The Mermaids vs Unicorns Palette is a budget-friendly palette at just £4 and there is a double ended eyeshadow brush included too. I think I will try some mermaid and unicorn inspired makeup tonight and if it doesn’t look poo, I’ll post the results on my Instagram page.
So, before, I posted my review on theCore Collection kit from Real Techniquesand I thought I’d let you all know how I clean my make-up brushes. I was kindly sent these Silicone Make-Up Brush Cleaners from a lovely company called RUIMIO and they have made my life so much easier. I hate cleaning my brushes by hand and I always feel like they are not being cleaned properly or deeply enough, so I was really excited about trying these out.
The two-piece portable set comes in a small box and includes a gorgeous baby pink silicone make-up brush cleaner and a pretty mint green one. They are made with safe, non-toxic, non-porous silicone which is soft and springy and will keep its shape, rinse clean instantly and last you a lifetime. They both have handy hooks too, so you can hang them up to dry after using. The brushes work by cleaning accumulated makeup, oil, dirt and bacteria off of your makeup brushes and you only need to use a little soap or shampoo to clean them, which keeps them in tip-top condition, makes your make-up brushes last longer and prevents bacteria from spreading on the skin which causes pimples, blackheads and breakouts to appear on the face.
There are three different cleaning areas on the silicone brush cleaners: a grooved area for larger brushes, a cross-hatched area for shorter-bristle brushes and small nubs for your smallest brushes.
They are so easy to use and all you have to do is wet your brush under warm tap water, apply some shampoo or facial wash to the silicone cleaner and place two fingers inside and gently rub the brush bristles up and down and around against the grooved area, the cross-hatched area and the raised nubs. You can also hold it by hand instead of inserting your fingers. Then you just rinse the brush cleaner under the tap, pat your brush bristles dry with a paper towel and shape them while they’re wet and hang the brush cleaner up to dry.
I really love this little make-up brush cleaning set, the colours are pretty, they look so cute, they are hygienic, they work great at cleaning your brushes and they are super affordable too. What’s not to love?
Where To Buy?
I got my Silicone Make-Up Brush Cleaners here* from RUIMIO’s Amazon UK shop. They cost £4.99 and next day delivery is available.
Disclosure: This product was sent to me free of charge for review purposes.
I bought some new make-up brushes a few days ago as my ASBO dog Marley, (named after the film – Marley & Me – by name & by nature!) has a fetish for make-up brushes, beauty blenders and sponges and likes to destroy them. I have seriously gone through so many make-up brushes and sponges because of him and I always forget to put them out of reach. He has the time of his life when he is ripping them to shreds, so I can’t complain, little rascal – ha. So yeah, I bought some new brushes and decided to go with Real Techniques for a change as I have never owned any of their brushes.
The Core Collection comes in a plastic case and you can see the brushes inside, on the back of the case it tells you what make-up brush is which. The four-piece set helps to create a perfect canvas and flawless base and contains four make-up brushes which all have a white tip with soft, plush, synthetic bristles which are made from taklon bristles so they are 100% cruelty free. They also have an orange metal with Real Techniques printed on them and each brush is labelled and has a black rubber grip. The set is perfect for those who are experience with make-up and know the ins and outs as well as for those who are new to make-up and inexperienced with make-up brushes. It is a great starter kit for beginners.
What’s In The Box
a panoramic case
The panoramic case is a dual carrier and stand to store and keep your brushes organised and safe when travelling or for displaying your brushes on your dressing table. You simply fold over the case and pull on the drawstring to tighten it and the case will stand up. It can also be used for upside drying of your brushes. It has a white faux leather exterior which is wipe clean and perfect in case you get make-up prints on it. It has a grey interior with a white trim and also has a Real Techniques tag at the bottom. It has a Velcro strap opening/closing and has four pieces of elastic on the right side which keeps brushes secure, there is also an extra two pieces of elastic on the left side for storing more brushes if you wish!
a contour brush
The contour brush has a tapered tip which I use for contouring and highlighting. I love using this brush to apply highlighter to my cheekbones and brown-bone as well as for contouring my eyes with a little bronzer when I’m skipping eyeshadow.
a detailer brush
The detailer brush is a very small and flat brush which I use for applying concealer under my eyes and lash-line and around the nose. It is precision cut which is great for concealing problem areas. I also use this brush for fixing up my eyebrows with concealer and it can be used as a lip brush for shape and definition too. It’s also great for tidying up lipstick with concealer.
a pointed foundation brush
The pointed foundation brush has a flat paddle shape which I think is perfect for applying primers, liquid foundations and for applying & blending concealer under the eyes. I love using it to build full coverage with my liquid foundation too.
a buffing brush
The buffing brush is a large round brush which I love using to apply and blend my liquid foundation. It can also be used for full coverage of cream to powder foundation or mineral foundation and is great for applying bronzer, blusher and highlighter as well as for setting foundation and concealer with a loose or pressed powder.
I’ll be using my 2-pack Silicone Brush Cleaners from RUIMIO to keep them nice and clean and in tip-top shape. I got mine here* for £4.99 if you want to take a look. These are not included with the Core Collection. Ha.
I absolutely love the Core Collection kit, you seriously cannot go wrong with this collection, they are fabulous quality and definitely worth the money – I bought these as I’m trying to improve my make-up skills and wanted the perfect tools for the job. I also love how they are cheaper to buy on Amazon as they are more expensive in high street shops. I really like the case and it fits perfectly in my handbag when I’m out and about and I display my brushes on my dressing table when I’m applying my make-up and they are easy to find and look nice too. The make-up brushes are soft and fluffy and pick up make-up well, my favourites are the pointed foundation brush which I use to blend my concealer under my eyes and the buffing brush because I can use it to apply foundation, blusher, bronzer and setting powder. The make-up brushes are also cleaned easily and so far I have washed them twice and my brushes haven’t shredded which is great as I have found with cheaper brushes they tend to lose their bristles when washing, they also don’t leave bristles all over your face either. I’ve fallen in love with Real Techniques and I love the Core Collection. I think I’ll buy the Brow Set* next and maybe the Starter Set* for eye make-up.
I would definitely recommend Real Techniques and I absolutely love the Core Collection.
Where To Buy?
I got my Core Collection Make-Up Brush Kit here* on Amazon UK. It was £13.95 and I got same-day delivery. The brushes are sold and dispatched by Amazon and not a marketplace seller so I know the brushes are definitely 100% genuine.
You can also shop on the Real Techniques website here.
Usually, I use drugstore brands such as Rimmel, MAX-FACTOR & Maybelline when buying foundations but after watching so many beauty guru’s putting the Born This Way foundation on a pedestal, I just had to buy it and try it out for myself. I’ve had my bottle for a few months now and it’s practically empty so I will definitely be repurchasing as it is without a doubt the BEST foundation I have ever used.
What Is The Born This Way Foundation?
” This oil-free foundation masterfully diffuses the line between make-up and skin. Coverage so undetectable and skin so naturally radiant, they’ll think you were BORN THIS WAY.” – Too Faced
The Born This Way foundation is an undetectable, medium to full coverage foundation which is infused with Coconut Water to replenish skins moisture levels and hydrate the skin. It’s also enriched with Alpine Rose which will help to brighten the skins appearance and promote elasticity. Also, it contains Hyaluronic Acid which works by giving the skin a smoother, more youthful appearance.
I absolutely love all of Too Faced’s packaging, absolutely gorge! The Born This Way foundation is no different either. It is a 30 ml bottle which comes in a pretty little pink box and inside is a frosted glass bottle with gorgeous gold detailing and writing. It has a black pump dispenser which can also be screwed off. On the bottom of the bottle it says the foundation can be used up to twelve months after opening too.

Porcelain – very fair with neutral undertones

Mocha – rich tan with rosy undertones
Maple – deep with neutral undertones

Mahogany – very deep with golden undertones
Hazelnut – deepest with rosy undertones
Cocoa (NEW) – deepest with neutral undertones
When I don’t apply fake tan I am very pale and quite fair skinned, I also have pink undertones in my skin so I chose the Warm Nude shade in the foundation because it it is very light and has neutral undertones with will hide the pinkness in my skin, for this reason I didn’t pick a golden or rosy foundation. The Warm Nude shade is probably a shade darker than my natural skin-tone but because I wear a light fake tan, it blends in easily with the rest of my skin. If I was to not wear fake tan I think the shades Vanilla and Porcelain would be my perfect match – next time I think I’ll buy one of those shades.
The main reason why I love the Born This Way foundation is because it makes my skin look more youthful! I’ve just turned dirty thirty and unfortunately, my skin is not what is used to be in my twenties. I have fine lines around my eyes and a deep set wrinkle between my eyebrows which I despise so much and the foundation made them look way less noticeable by deeply moisturising my skin. I reckon I can pass for 25 years old when wearing this foundation, ha ha (wishful thinking) so for that reason alone I absolutely adore it.
You lot know that I have psoriasis and luckily, I rarely get any of it on my face – I don’t get many blemishes or pimples either but I do have a very dull, boring complexion with large pores on my cheeks and this foundation makes my skin look so much brighter, completely conceals my large pores and makes my skin look radiant and glowy. It is seriously just perfect.
The foundation provides a natural coverage and if you choose the right shade to match your natural skin-tone – it will literally look as if you are completely barefaced and aren’t wearing make-up at all. It is super light weight too and it feels like you aren’t even wearing it because the skin feels like it can breathe. I hate heavy foundations that feel suffocating on the skin so this gets a big thumbs up for being light and fresh.
I apply it in the morning time with a beauty blender and it seriously stays on all day and night without fading. It doesn’t oxidise on the skin either and wont make your face look orange / darker after applying
Like I said before, I don’t get many blemishes on my skin so I don’t really need a full coverage foundation so just one layer is enough for me. It is a medium coverage foundation and one pump is enough to cover blemishes but you can build to full coverage by layering as needed.
I tested a little bit out on my psoriasis for you guys to show you how well it covers imperfections. Please keep in mind that my psoriasis are raised.
Before applying Born This Way:
After applying one layer of Born This Way:
The only thing I didn’t like was after a few hours – (I’m talking 12 hours later / at the end of the day) my skin was shiny and oily on my forehead and cheeks which I don’t get as I have dry skin and the foundation is meant to be oil-free. The foundation does stay put all day long nonetheless and the shine is easily removed with a bit of setting powder though, so I’m not really bothered to be honest.
Also when the bottle is nearly empty it won’t dispense any more foundation when pressing the dispenser so I’ve screw mine off and I dip a thin make-up brush into the bottle neck to get all the foundation out which has coated the bottom and sides. Gotta get my money’s worth, hey! I will be buying a new bottle this week and I’m thinking of buying the Born This Way concealer and the Born This Way setting powder too! 🙂
Where To Buy?
I did try to buy the foundation on the Too Faced website but they don’t ship to the UK so I had to get mine here from Debenhams, next day delivery is available. It’s £29 to buy and they have a very temptating offer on right now too, so if you spend £50 or more on Too Faced products, you will receive a free gift with your order. The gift you’ll receive is Deluxe Sweet Peach Lip Gloss in Pure Peach and the Deluxe Melt-Off Mascara. Very nice indeed, hey! I might have to take them up on that offer, I can’t resist a freebie ha ha!
You can also get it on Amazon UKhere*. It is a bit dearer on Amazon UK so would probably be best getting it from Debenhams – but if you have an Amazon Gift Card or something you want to spend, then go ahead. The Born This Way foundation is dispatched and sold by Amazon and not a marketplace seller, so you shouldn’t worry as it is definitely 100% genuine.
If you are from the USA, the Born This Way foundation is $39 and you can shop on the website here. You will get a FREE Hangover Deluxe, Deluxe La Creme Lipstick, & Deluxe Love Flush Blush on ANY purchase over $65!*
Thanks for reading girlies! – I hope my review has been helpful! Mwah!
You guys will know how much I love shopping at Home Bargains for my beauty supplies, it’s local, it’s cheap, and you really do pick up some beauty, hair and skin bargains. Whilst browsing the beauty aisle I came across this instant, wash-off spray tan called TRU LEGS for 49p. Yep, 49p. I had to buy it, I love trying new products out and I wanted to see if it was any good considering it was so inexpensive. I have been using Sally Hansen’s spray tan since the early noughties which is priced at around £9.99 so I was interested to see how it would compare.
TRU LEGS say the spray tan is ‘ for beautiful, flawless looking legs with a natural glow and subtle shimmer. It’s quick drying fine spray creates an even, streak-free finish in an instant. The water-resistant formula helps hide imperfections for a longer lasting result.’
How To Apply?
Its quick, easy and simple to apply, just simply hold the bottle 25 cm from your skin and spray lightly. Blend in with your fingertips until it’s all even and streak-free. Reapply another layer if neccessary and don’t dress until the tan has dried.
TRU LEGS INSTANT MAKE-UP SPRAY TAN 75ml
First I’ll talk about the colour, I chose the DARK one and before I even tried it on my skin I thought I should have probably chose the LIGHT or MEDIUM bottles as my natural skin-tone is quite pale, almost porcelain and I just wanted a healthy glow – I’m not into that tango-ed look! Ha!
It has a perfumed scent which is actually quite nice. It doesn’t smell overpowering or unbearable and after applying the tan the pretty smell stays on the skin. It doesn’t smell bad at all which I find with most tanning products.
The coverage of this spray tan is pretty poor to be honest, if you have flawless, blemish-free skin this will not be a biggie for you but if you suffer with psoriasis like me or have scars or blemishes – this will not cover any of your imperfections. I definitely prefer Sally Hansen’s spray tan for this reason alone which I find hides and covers most of my psoriasis and conceals any skin blemishes.
There’s nothing worse than putting fake tan on and getting caught in the rain or going on a girls night out and your clumsy friend spills their drink all over your legs making them look streaky. Well, TRU LEGS claims that its water-resistant so I put it to the test and ran my arm under the tap to see if the tan is water resistant and I can confirm that the water just rolled of my skin like it would if you had baby oil on. Although it’s water resistant, it can be washed off easily with soap and water.
I do like TRU LEGS spray tan and actually think it’s a great little bargain at 49p. It’s easy to apply, easy to wash off with soap and water and water-resistant too so no need to worry about streaky or patchy tan if it rains. The colour of the tan is not as dark or deep as I would have liked but I was happy with the end result which looked natural and lightly tanned. It didn’t really do much for my blemished skin so I wouldn’t recommend this tan for someone who is trying to conceal any marks on their skin. I would recommend Sally Hansen’s Spray Tan for that. It does give a flawless finish and is easy to blend into the skin, my skin didn’t look streaky or patchy either which is good. I don’t think this tan will last very long on the skin and will fade easier than more expensive spray tans. I’m actually surprised with this product and I never thought it would be as good as it is! It’s not the best tan I have ever used but it’s not the worst either! The TRU LEGS from Home Bargains won’t be replacing my Sally Hansen Spray tan but I would consider buying it again.
A few months back I managed to pick up Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the super bright red shade called Outlaw which I got from Love Me Beauty, a fab monthly beauty subscription box which allocates 60 points each month. Unlike other sub boxes Love Me Beauty allows you to choose your own high end products. The everlasting liquid lipstick cost me 20 points so I still had 40 points to spend on other products. The monthly subscription is £10 + £2.95 p&p and you can also buy add on points. If you’d like to sign up to Love Me Beauty, use my promo code ‘KATY99737822’ to get £21 worth of LMB credits to spend on whatever you like. You also get a different make-up bag every month.
The packaging of the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is very pretty, I love the floral detailing on the lid. The lipstick itself is a gorgeous rich red colour with slight orange undertones and it is a good quality, highly pigmented, full coverage shade that seriously stays put.
It glides on the lips like a silky, creamy lipgloss and quickly dries to a matte finish. It is enriched with natural moisturisers including vitamin E and sunflower seed wax. Best thing is the lipstick is suitable for vegans and 100% cruelty free which is great. I love it.
You guys may know I’m a Birchbox subscriber and today I love Birchbox a whole lot more than I ever did before. I got myself a freebie! Woohoo! After reviewing some of my monthly box goodies, I was allocated some points to spend in the Birchbox shop and I bought myself a lovely little bronzer from Lord & Berry in the shade ‘Sienna’. The bronzer is £19 to buy but I got mine for 200 Birchbox points, so basically I got mine free.
Most of you will know all about Lord & Berry, but for those who don’t they are an Italian based cosmetics company known as the eyes and lips specialists who make high-end beauty products loved by make-up geeks, MUA’s and beauty bloggers worldwide.
I love the bronzer because it matches my skin tone perfectly. I always find it difficult selecting the right shade of bronzer but I’ve done quite well picking the shade ‘Sienna’ which is perfect and not to dark for my skin tone. I’m the palest of pale, so I often rely on bronzers to give my Casper-like complexion a bit of faux glow and warmth but most bronzers that I have used in the past have always been too dark for my skin tone, too shimmery leaving my face looking like Edward Cullen in daylight, making my skin look absolutely mingin’ like I need a good wash or they can be too drying on my skin making me look older. This bronzer just gives me a lovely natural glow with a matte finish and it doesn’t look OTT, fake or leaving me resembling an Oompa Loompa like most do.
What I especially love is the powder blends easily and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines or wrinkles which is great as bronzers and powders often make me look older than I am but this is just lovely, it looks subtle, very natural because it doesn’t contain any shimmer and it makes my pasty complexion look a hell of a lot more healthier. Overall I think this powder is an excellent all purpose bronzer and works well for tanning the skin as well as contouring – leaving my skin looking one hundred percent natural. It is a bit expensive compared to inexpensive drug store brands but it’s totally worth it.
Buy the Lord & Berry Bronzer for £19 here. There are various shades to choose from.

Okay girls, so this is my second subscription box from Birchbox after signing up about two weeks ago. This months box has an astrological theme with four glow in the dark boxes based on the astrological elements of Earth, Fire Air and Water. The stars on the boxes literally glow in the dark. So pretty. I’m an Aquarius born in February so I have the ‘Air’ themed box which includes a full size make-up product and some good-sized samples.
So what was in my beauty box this month?
Lord & Berry Lip Crayon In Intimacy | RRP £12* (FULL-SIZE)
Eve Lom Cleanser + Cloth | RRP from £40*
Doux Me Pure Spring Mist | RRP £16*
NKD Skin Pre-Shower Tan or Daily Moisturiser | RRP from £10*
*RRPs correspond to full size items at birchbox.co.uk/shop
Overall I’m happy with this months box although I was a tad disappointed about not receiving the pillow spray. I really wanted that spray – I’m an insomniac ha ha. Everything else I’m pleased about, especially my full size Lord & Berry Lip Crayon because I absolutely love it, I love the colour and I was so glad when I opened my box and seen it chilling there because I had my fingers crossed for it. So, woo-hoo. I’m also excited to try out my Eve Lom Cleanser + Cloth as well as the NKD tan which will be getting some love tonight. Those three are my favourites from this months box.
I’ll be reviewing each product individually in the coming weeks so keep an eye on my posts to find out what I thought about the goodies in my October box.

I got this a liquid lippie a few months ago in one of my GLOSSYBOX’s and I have been meaning to review it as I have actually worn it quite a couple of times now and it’s nearing empty. It is a buttery matte lip cream for Absolute New Yorks Velvet Lippie collection. I got the the shade LOLITA in my box which is very pink and very pretty. There are 24 shades to choose from and after seeing some swatches on YouTube I’m liking shade TERRACOTTA a-lot. (I like my nudes.) I love the blue shades SURFS UP and LAGOON too, they are not usually colours I’d choose as they are a bit daring and wild but I think they look fab! They look like they were made especially for mermaids! Gorgeous!
The Velvet Lippies retail at around £4.95.
I love my pink lippies so I instantly liked the pretty pink shade LOLITA. In the tube it reminded me of a pin-up pink shade. The packaging isn’t anything special, it is a simple looking transparent tube with a black screw lid, pretty basic.
It has a pleasantly mild scent (thanks to artificial fragrance), it smells like vanilla a bit but it’s not overpowering, it’s very subtle. It doesn’t taste of anything either.
First time I used this I did what I always do, rub my lips together which I shouldn’t have! It made the colour patchy and uneven and I had to apply more. It’s best to apply the colour to your lips and keep them parted until they dry matte. It looks cheap too, the applicator especially. It is so tiny and flimsy and it doesn’t hold much product or doesnt transfer much colour to the lips so you have to keep dipping it back in and out and in and out to build the colour up and make it even.
I really wouldn’t say this was buttery at all. It does feel creamy though. I have a bottom lip lobe and a few lines and wrinkles which have crept up the last few years and this did accenturate them and they became more noticeable the longer I wore it. It dried my lips out too.
It is a really beautiful colour isn’t it, it’s almost like a pinky, lilac, lavender colour and it feels creamy and velvety when applied to the lips and it spreads like a lip gloss would but it dries matte.
It also made my lips appear fuller and more plump so I really love it for that alone and to say it is quite cheap, it is well pigmented and long-lasting; I can keep this on for a couple of hours without needing to top up.
I didn’t look at the price before trying the lippie on and afterwards I guessed the Velvet Lippie would be priced at around £1-£3. To be honest the only thing I liked about it was the colour, the fact I prefer matte lips, the beautiful pinky, lilac colour and how my lips appeared plumper. I have loved wearing it the last few weeks as I think it really brightens my ‘Casper’ complexion up, giving my pale skin a lovely pop of colour. It really is a gorgeous shade for Spring and Summer. Another thing, it did dry my lips out a bit and it really accentuates fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and it makes chapped lips look a million times worse. AVOID if you have chapped, dry and flaky lips! I was cursed with chapped lips last week after over using my lip plumper (oops) and the colour looked awful on my lips so I had to get the lip balm and lip scrubs out to give me a perfect smooth base.
So, final words. It is a pretty colour for Spring and Summer, it’s cheap, has long staying power and it makes lips appear plumper.
Do you like it?
Have you tried any of the other Velvet Lippie shades? Which ones?
I love my liquid eyeliners, always have and always will. Cat like eyes are my definitely my thing and it’s not often that I go without my eye flicks. I love trying out new eyeliners and was very pleased when I was gifted MAXFACTOR’s MASTERPIECE High Precision Liquid Eyeliner in shade 01 | Velvet Black in return for an honest review. So, lets go!
What is it?
“Transform your look with bold intensity. The unique paddle-shaped tip draws both a dramatic thick line and an elegant thin line, to create the precise look you want. The intense black, velvet formula glides on smoothly and dries quickly for chic sophistication or bold drama. The paddle-shaped tip gives you two glamorous looks in one: thick and dramatic, or fine and elegant, so you can dial up the drama to suit your look”
The Max Factor Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner is meant to have the intensity of a liquid eyeliner with the precision of a pencil. It’s unique applicator looks paddle shaped and the tip is quite rounded and not pointy like other liners on the market.
The flat, thick paddle like side allows for a thicker, darker and more dramatic line and the actual tip/edge creates a softer line very close to the lash line. I use the tip for a guideline and the flat paddle to create and fill in my flick on the outer lash line. I found the tip works best to line my inner and middle lash line and it also helps to create a guideline on the outer edge before I use the paddle to gradually build the line from thin to thicker on the outer edge, creating a super dramatic look. I also love using the paddle bit to create a thicker line and flick all over for a more dramatic and striking look.
Is it super black? Yes and no! You would think this eyeliner was a felt tip pen and I’ve found it does dry out pretty fast just like a felt tip would. The flatter, paddle side definitely creates a very black look but it starts out very black and gradually fades. Which is a shame. Somehow when using the thinner tip, the liquid liner appears off-black like a felt tip pen would when it is running out of ink. I have noticed that this liquid liner fades from one end to the other which results in more than one application. See pic below…
One good thing about the liquid liner is when I have my desired look I have found it to be long-lasting and it does stay put without the need for re-application.
After applying two or three applications I must say I do like the finished look. I have other liquid eyeliner that are more intense, more precise and a deeper shade of black but I ‘m loving the velvety, smoky look I’ve achieved. I especially love how it’s long lasting but I’d love the eyeliner much more if it was as precise as Maxfactor make out. Although it’s not my number one liquid eyeliner – I will definitely use it again, as I love how pretty my eyes look with it on.
I’ll give the MAXFACTOR Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Liner 3.5 stars out of 5! 😊
I got these in my February GlossyBox and fell in love with the Love Skull design straight away! The outer packaging is so colourful, fun and eye-catching it’s really no surprise that I adore them!
The tweezer come with a small storage case to put the tweezers in when not using as well which will help to keep them in tip-top condition. The case is the perfect size for your make-up bag or your handbag and is a life saver If you’re clumsy like me and always misplacing or losing your tweezers.
They’re very easy to use and have a sleek and precise tip – this means they grip those unwanted hairs well and remove them with one easy pull. They are made from stainless steel and have a slanted edge to really grip and remove the most stubborn of hairs.
The Love Skull tweezers retail at £7.99. They are limited edition so if you love them as much as I do then get a move on before they are gone forever! 😊

I’ve been nominated for the Spirit Animal Award by my lovely friend over at Pal Fitness... Thank-you so much Paul. 😊
The rules of this award are:
1) Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their page.
2) Post the award picture on your blog.
3) Write a paragraph about yourself and what your blog means to you.
4) If you could be any animal what would it be?
5) Pick and notify ten nominees.
I love make-up but I have a skin disorder called psoriasis which restricts me from using some beauty products on my skin. I started this blog to kinda be a guinea pig for other psoriasis sufferers, testing beauty products, treatments and natural remedies for the skin. Having psoriasis has affected me in so many ways, dropping out of beauty school is one. Boooo! I’m trying my best to use natural, organic beauty products in replacement to those full of harmful chemicals – so I write a lot about natural and gentle beauty products. My aim is to become 100 % vegan one day. I’ve tried so many times and it’s pretty tough. I’m a big nature and animal lover and a member of WWF, Dogs Trust and RSPB. – I have two Patterdale Terrier dogs named Bella & Marley A.K.A The ASBO dogs. As well as make-up, hair and skincare I love to blog about DIY crafts and sewing projects inspired by Pinterest.
That’s all for now! Dont want to bore you anymore. Haha!
If I could be any animal…
It would be the wolf. I’m fascinated by them. There was a time I wanted to be a zoologist and I was going to pick the wolf as my main animal to study. So yep, if I could be any animal I would be a wolf. 👌 Crazy, fierce and beautiful!
These past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of trying a couple of gorgeous glitter shades from Beauty Boulevard’s Glitter Lips collection. I love anything and everything that sparkles and glitters – so you can imagine how much fun I’ve had blingin’ my lips up!
👄 Ultra Glam 👄
Today is all about the flirty, fabulous and fluorescent shade known by the name ‘ULTRA GLAM’ which is a vivid lilac colour with subtle lavender tones and the slightest shimmer of gold.
Out of all the shades I have previously reviewed – ‘Ultra Glam’ is by far the brightest, most daring and eye-catching colour I’ve had on my lips. It is definitely a Glitter Lips shade for the super confident who like their lip colour to be as bold and vibrant as their personality! If this sounds like you, then girlie… ‘Ultra Glam’ is your colour.
The gorgeous neon lavender colour will look amazing teamed with kohl or liquid liner and voluminous black lashes. It would brighten up a little black dress beautifully too – adding a pop of colour to your outfit!
Here’s how ‘ULTRA GLAM’ looks on the lips! 😍
The entire collection of the Glitter Lips shades are waterproof, smudge proof, kiss proof and party proof! Basically – everything proof!! You could binge-drink as many rosé wines as you want, eat like a pig, snog all night long and party hard like a rock star and the glitter will not budge. Did I mention slobber proof?… Yep… Ha! For you droolers out there – you could sleep like a baby for a week and your lips will stay glitter-licious. No sh!t.
The gloss bond has absolutely amazing staying power – unlike any other lipsticks. EVER!

Choosing Your Glitter Lips Colour?
If you are unsure on what Glitter Lips shade is best for you then take a look at the different shades available to buy on Beauty Boulevard’s website. For pictures – be sure to checkout my other Glitter Lips reviews below, which may help you decide! 😘
As you know, I’ve done a few posts in the past about Glitter Lips by Beauty Boulevard. Everytime I try a new shade of theirs, I have a new favourite Glitter Lips, ha. I’m such a snide off!
Well there was one shade that I didn’t really FAVE much. I’ll be honest – Diamond In The Buff really wasn’t my colour, I thought my complexion was much too pale for it.
But the other shades… LOVE!
My favourite was‘Ruby Slippers’ for quite a while but when I tried ‘Molly Dolly’ that became my favourite instead! 😂
Well girls, my new favourite Glitter Lips shade is now ‘Cherry Pie’ 😍. I cannot cope with how pretty it is. It’s definitely the sexiest Glitter Lips shade that I have tried so far.
Firstimpression – before I put it on, I thought the ‘Cherry Pie’ glitter dust was similar to ‘Ruby Slippers’ in colour, just a little more pinky. When I tried it on though, it was deep pink with slight speckles of purple shining through when any light hit my lips.
I fell in LOVE with it straight away. ❤ It’s kind of pinky, purple, almost plum/ maroon and it reminds me of the Autumn/Winter ‘shades’ of lipstick that make your lips look ‘wine stained’, only with glitter added! I’d say it was more gothic than the other shades I’ve tried but still very pretty and girly.
‘Cherry Pie’ is a very glamorous colour and would look fab on all skin tones.
Pale or tanned. ❤
Here’s How It Looks on The Lips!
Now, because I have done three Glitter Lips reviews on my blog already, I thought I would not include the ‘how to apply and remove’ bit on this post as I feel like a parrot! 😂
But… if you really want to know how to apply or remove Glitter Lips, you can do so by clicking here.
When I first saw the Vintage Pretty glitter dust, I weren’t sure how it was gonna look when it was applied as it was kinda two toned. But, when I put it on it was a lovely soft pink colour and super pretty. ‘Vintage Pretty’ is another one of my favourite Glitter Lips shades along with three others.
I mean come on… look how gorgeous it is! 😍
‘Vintage Pretty’ definitely lives up to its name. It looks darker in the pot than it does on the lips though. Think shabby chic, coral and dusky pink!
Although it’s still an eye-catching shade, it isn’t an in your face colour, so will be perfect for anyone who wants a pretty but toned down look or for girls who prefer a lighter shade rather than a bright one.
It’s just fab! I love it. ❤
This is how it looks on the lips!
I have already done four Glitter Lips review’s on my blog so I’m not going to boreexplain to you all ‘how to apply and remove’ Glitter Lips..
But… if you want to know how to apply or remove Glitter Lips, you can do so by clicking here.
It’s my Birthday next week! Woo-hoo! Turning 29 has got me a little depressed if I’m truthful. One year away from being a 30 year old makes me so emotional!😢 It doesn’t help that my boyfriend jokes that I’m past it now! I reckon I’m still young-(ish). 😂
The last few years of being a twenty-something I have noticed that those dreaded wrinkles have started creeping up on my face, especially between my eyebrows. Deep frown lines is not a good look. 😐 I really don’t think I could cope with any more wrinkles appearing, I’m too vain! I will try anything to get rid. 😂
Being a needle phobe wimp, Botox is not an option for me, so I thought I was doomed until Rio Rosa kindly gifted me some of their Pure Chilean Rosehip Seed Oil from their Rio Amazon Collection. ❤
The oil is also not only good for reducing signs of ageing, it is also great for stretch marks, uneven skin tone, sun damage and scars too.
I’ve done my research and apparently RosaMosqueta (main ingredient) is a wild rose that grows in the valleys of the Chilean Andes. The rose is a rich source of vitamins A, C & E which encourages healthy skin regeneration and cell hydration. It is 100% natural, pure and unscented too. Sounds good! 👌
I’ve been using twice a day for the past week, massaging the Rosehip Oil into my frown lines for two minutes each time and I’ve gotta say they do look less noticeable. My skin looks more radiant too. My wrinkles haven’t disappeared completely, as I knew they wouldn’t but I’m going to keep using to see if they fade a little bit more, hopefully it will prevent any more wrinkles from appearing. I’m pleased with the results so far! 😊
Where To Buy
You can get some Rosehip Oil on their website here.
A 20ml bottle of Rio Rosa Mosqueta – Rosehip Oil is £10.49 to buy and a 50ml bottle costs £20.49. It last’s for ages! They have lots of other natural skincare products too. It’s worth having a nose. Remember, you’ve gotta prevent them wrinkles while you’re still young girls, trust me! Ha-ha. 😘
If you’ve never tried Glitter Lips by Beauty Boulevard, you’re seriously missing out. Glittery lips are perfect for festivals, nights out with the girls or for adding extra wow factor to fancy dress costumes. You will definitely get a-lot of attention when wearing the sparkly Glitter Lips!
A few days ago, Beauty Boulevard kindly gifted me FOUR more different shades of Glitter Lips to try out! Do you know how happy I am right now! I nearly had a heart attack when the Postman delivered them, they are so bloody FAB and pretty!
I ❤ Glitter Lips
I’ve already tried the super glamorous shades ‘Ruby Slippers’ and ‘Diamond In The Buff’ in the past and lots of you loved how gorge they were. As a red lippie kinda girl. – Ruby Slippers was an instant fave of mine!!
I now have the shades Ultra Glam, Vintage Pretty, Cherry Pie and Molly Dolly to try out this week! So keep those pretty eyes peeled for my reviews!
Over the next few days I’ll be reviewing each one, but today I’m going to show you the gorgeous pink-a-licious shade known as ‘Molly Dolly’.
What’s Molly Dolly Like?
If Barbie wore Glitter Lipstick – Molly Dolly would definitely be her favourite Glitter Lips colour !
The Molly Dolly glitter dust is kind of fluorescent pink and looks JUICY and PRETTY and GIRLY and GORGEOUS and FABULOUS when applied. It has a kind of neon pinky/purple sheen to it too but looks very Barbie PINK on the lips! Lush. ❤

One tub of Molly Dolly glitter dust
Glitter Lips Gloss Bond
An Applicator Brush
I must mention also how pretty the Glitter Lips box is. I love how the glitter dust sits underneath the love heart shape making a beautiful pink heart. So pretty! 😍
Applying Glitter Lips
To get gorgeous glittery lips you will need to make sure you’re lips are a blank canvas. Glitter Lips will need to be applied to clean, dry lips to achieve best results.
Apply the Glitter Lips gloss bond to your lips – making sure to apply it neatly, especially along your lip line. ❤
Remember: Wherever the bonding has been applied – the glitter will stick to it.
Once the gloss bond has turned from white to see-through, dab the glitter onto your lips, sparingly and gradually at first then build up to achieve the desired glitter effect. ❤
There you go! It’s very easy to apply! 😊
TIP: You could also use a lip liner in a shade near to the glitter colour you have chosen. This will make your lips look fuller, tidier and more defined.
TIP: Do the rest of your make-up before you apply Glitter Lips – leaving your lips till last. 😘
Taking Glitter Lips Off
Taking Glitter Lips off you’re lips is harder than your average lipsticks. As Glitter Lips is long lasting, smudge proof and waterproof – water alone will not really remove it. Although it is possible to remove the glitter using just water, it just takes a little longer to remove than a oil based make-up remover would.
Your usual makeup remover should do the job just fine, but if you don’t have any at hand you could use baby wipes, cleanser, toner, moisturiser or any type of oil. I prefer to use coconut oil to remove mine, as well as removing the glitter, it gives my lips some TLC too. I love coconut!
I’ve also found that when removing Glitter Lips, the glitter acts like an abrasive to the lips, giving them a little exfoliating scrub. Perfect way to remove dry skin from chapped lips! 😘
TIP: Once you have removed the glitter, apply some Vaseline or moisturising lip balm to keep your lips in tip-top condition!
Why I Love Glitter Lips ❤
I love Glitter Lips because I am lazy! Ha-ha. On a night out when I’ve had one too many Double Vodka RedBulls – being vain and wanting to look good while partying goes out of the window. (I’m a crazy drunk! 😂)
I forget to apply my lipstick throughout the night but when I wear Glitter Lips, I don’t have to top up my lip colour as Glitter Lips stays put, no matter how hard I party. The billion selfies I take on my phone always look much more glamorous too. 😊
Glitter Lips is not tested on animals, uses cosmetic grade glitter and is safe to use on children aged 3 and over! Little girls love Glitter Lips too! 👄
Now, on the box it says one application has staying power for up to 8 hours, no matter how much you eat, drink, party or kiss 😉 – so I put it to the test and applied my Glitter Lips at 12 pm, keeping it on all day and night. I even slept with it on and was really surprised that it was still perfectly in place the following morning.
So far, there are 17 shades of Glitter Lips to choose from. All are £12.50 each. ❤💜💚💛💙

I was sent the MAXFACTOR Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara to try out and write an honest review. So here goes… 😊
The new Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara from MAXFACTOR promises a very lightweight formula that doesn’t weigh down the lashes, no matter how much of it you put on. One coat or ten coats. Lashes are left velvety smooth, touchably soft with not a clump in sight. Lashes will be fuller, darker and more volumised. 😊
The mascara has been formulated with an anti brittle mousse for a velvety lash feel. The thick yet lightweight formula builds volume to your lashes quick and easily, while the comb wand which has anti clump bristles coats and separates the lashes evenly – defining and plumping!
Maxfactor Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara is opthamologically tested so it is safe and suitable for those who wear contact lenses.
What I Love About The Mascara
I’ll be completely truthful, when I first received the mascara I was a little disappointed. If you have seen my previous mascara reviews, you will know that I love my chunky mascara wands and pretty much steer clear from the comb wands. Yes, well, the Velvet Volume mascara has a comb wand. 👊
Still, I was obliged to try it out and have since changed my mind about mascara’s with comb wands and will definitely be more likely to purchase them in future after trying this. It’s safe to say that I’m now converted from a chunky brush lover to a comb lover, I loved the end results. This mascara is now a favourite of mine. My other mascaras’ are just sitting there, waiting to be used.
Without eye make-up, my eyelashes are really short and fair. I have ghost eyelashes! They are so bloody see-through, it looks as if I just have eyelids and eyeballs! 😂 So, having the right mascara is a big must for me as without it I look poorly. I really do! 😂
My eyelashes are brittle looking too. They are so thin and weak that when I try to build them up and put a bit of volume in to them, 9 times out of 10 I end up with spider eyes and clumpy eyelashes. One of the many reasons I love the MAXFACTOR Velvet Volume Mascara is because no matter how much I put on, be it one coat or fifty coats, (yes, I’ve done it!) it never clumps my lashes.
I prefer the natural look myself. I hate it when it looks so obvious that I’m wearing make-up and with this mascara, my eyelashes stay natural looking but still has length and volume – making me feel like a natural beauty, ha-ha! 😉
There are lots of mascaras out there that once applied and dried, (I’m a poet) feels rough to touch within a few minutes. Maxfactor Velvet Volume lives up to it’s name and leaves them silky and velvety, no matter how many coats I have on or how long for!
The best thing about this mascara is the definition. The brush combs and applies the product on every lash, even the tiniest ones near the inner eye. It doesn’t flake or smudge throughout the day and stays put too. It is the perfect mascara for a daytime look that appears really natural looking and fresh, it also looks super glam on a girls night out too, especially when teamed with black kohl eyeliner and liquid liner.
TIP: Never pump your mascara wand in and out of the mascara tube – the trapped air dries it out. 😊
What I Don’t Like
I’ve seen a few bloggers rant and rave about this mascara and a few that don’t really rate it.
For me, the only negative thing about this mascara, is the applicator wand/brush. The brush is plastic and hard which doesn’t bend so I find applying it close to my bottom lash-line hurts a bit, basically, it feels uncomfortable. Although it combs my top lashes perfectly, making sure there are no ugly clumps – applying the mascara to my bottom lashes isn’t as easy as applying it to my top. One coat on my bottom lash is okay but if I want them super voluminous, I’ve found that applying too many coats with the comb wand, makes my bottom lash-line a little bit sensitive. Although that wont put me off using it again and again. The pros’ outweigh the cons! 😊
Promotional Post / Free Product Sample
As a blogger, I get sent free products to try out and once I’ve tried it and liked, its often that I don’t buy the product again once I’ve used it. So, you know when a beauty product is top dollar by buying it again once you have used the promotional sample (free product). I’ve been using this mascara since November 2015 so I will certainly, 100% be buying another Velvet Volume Mascara when I eventually run out. 😊
I’ve always loved MAXFACTOR mascara’s much more than any other brand. I really do think they are the best mascara makers out there.
Where To Buy & How Much
If you want to get your hands on one for yourself, check out the make-up aisle in Superdrug, Asda and Boots. It is available to buy anywhere and everywhere. You can get it from eBay and Amazon UK too. It is priced around £8.99.
So yep, I love it. I’ve now got myself a new favourite mascara. 👌

Thanks for reading!
Have a great day! 😊

*PR Product which was sent to me for an honest review.
I was out shopping yesterday and as you may know by now I love a good bargain. Especially bargain stores that sells various things at low prices! It’s pretty hard for me to stay out of shops like Home Bargains, Poundland and B&M. Even though most of the stuff they sell is cheap to buy I find myself spending alot more than I would at a dearer store. I see things and think to myself, “WOW, only £1” and pop whatever it is into my basket, then I see a million other things and before you know it I’m walking out of the store £100 down! 😂 I just can’t help myself.
So, yesterday I popped into B&M to empty my purse and noticed a shelf full of Lip Smacker Coca-Cola Lip Balms. Now, I’ve never tried these before but I have seen lots of other bloggers raving about them – so I had to try them out.
Anyway, I bought a few at £2.99 each. One set for me and a few to give as Christmas presents to my friends & family. Hopefully they’ll be as chuffed as me, eh!
One box contains four lip balms in the popular flavours: Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Vanilla, Orange Fanta and Sprite.
They are perfect for girls who suffer with dry, chapped lips in the Autumn/Winter months and they would make a wonderful stocking filler too. Great for kids over 6 years old too and if they are anything like my niece who’s 6, they will be pretty amazed at the little lip balms. She thinks they are magical! Ha-ha!
Before I actually tried them out I thought they would be rubbish but after trying them, I can honestly say they really do taste like the fizzy drinks they are named after.
Coca-Cola Flavoured Lip Balm
I’m addicted to Coke! (Coca-Cola) 😂 Although it can be unhealthy if drank too often, there is rarely a day I go without a can or two so I had to try the Coca-Cola flavoured lip balm first.
Yes, it tastes like coke and moisturises my lips pretty good too! Perfect for my chapped lips which I always seem to have in the cold weather.
Coca-Cola Vanilla Flavoured Lip Balm
I’m not a fan of the actual Coca-Cola Vanilla drink but the flavoured lip balm tastes and smells fabulous. I actually love vanilla so this balm is one of my favourites out the four. It moisturises and sooths chapped lips as well as keeping healthy lips supple and cared for. What more could you want in a lip balm!
Sprite Flavoured Lip Balm
As with the others the Sprite flavoured lip balm tastes pretty similar to the actual drink too. It melts chapped skin on my lips and leaves them smooth, soft and kissable. I’m really surprised as I thought the balms were just novelty lip balms, but they really do take care of your lips too.
Orange Fanta Flavoured Lip Balm
My favourite! I can’t stand to drink Orange Fanta but the Fanta flavoured lip balm is the best out of the four in my opinion. Its zesty, zingy and is more vibrant in taste and smell than the other three! I love it! 😊
Where To Buy
You can get some Coca Cola Flavoured Lip Balms by Lip Smacker for £2.99 from B&M stores throughout the UK. eBay, Amazon and other shops sell them too but they are a little cheaper at B&M stores!
Lately, I’m absolutely loving online beauty store, ‘To Make You Gorgeous’. At the moment it is my favourite place to purchase all my beauty products. They have everything under one roof and it is the perfect website for make up and beauty lovers like myself.
After my Lip Voltage review, I was asked to review the latest product by Dreamweave & Co, which I’m really excited about as I love Dreamweave & Co mascara’s. The one I’m reviewing today is a 3 In 1 Direct Bond Mascara, designed as a one step fibre mascara with a direct bonding system.
No mess, no fuss, just thick, luscious lashes with the false lash effect. The Fibergenics 3 In 1 Mascara is about to take the beauty industry by storm and once you have seen my pics, you will understand why. This direct bond mascara seriously adds length to even the shortest of eyelashes!
The Fibregenics mascara is already loved by celebrities such as the TOWIE’s Francesca Parkman and the beautiful Binky from Made In Chelsea.
Dreamweave & Co
Dreamweave & Co is well known for its mascara’s and I’ve used a few of them already. I knew before I had even tried the Fibergenics Mascara that it would be something to shout about as the results of the Dreamweave mascara’s I’ve tried in the past have always been pretty impressive. Like all Dreamweave products, the Fibregenics Mascara will no doubt be as popular as Lip Voltage was, back when the lip plumper first hit the beauty scene.
Not Tested On Animals
First thing I did before using the mascara was to check if it was animal friendly. Don’t worry, I’m not planning on giving my dogs luscious, long lashes anytime soon! 😂 The mascara has not been tested on animals so I’m pleased about that. Why should an animal suffer just so us humans can look beautiful, eh! 😊
First of all, I’ll tell you about the packaging. It is so pretty! They say you should not judge a book by its cover but I’m a sucker for pretty covers and if a product has fabulous packaging – I’m definitely more inclined to purchase it. Call me shallow! 😂
The mascara comes in a black and silver metallic effect box. The front of the box is kind of like a mirror and it is possible to put your mascara on and use the box as a mirror, ha-ha. It is not as clear as a real mirror but you can certainly see your reflection.
On the back of the box you have a list of ingredients and inside the box is a little instructions leaflet and of course, the Fibergenics Mascara which is in a black case with silver writing in a pretty font.
My Results After Using Fibregenics
I started out by cleansing my face and lashes as I wanted a blank canvas to apply the mascara to. After one coat, my eyelashes were much longer and thicker without looking too fake. They looked very lush and natural after applying three coats but I continued building them up and I was pretty amazed at how long they were getting. In my before pic you can see how short and blonde my lashes were. I think there is a huge difference as you can see. In my before pic my eyes appear tired and lifeless looking to me. The mascara has certainly brightened my eyes up. I actually look like a girl now! Ha-ha. 👸
I do love how the brush is not one of those useless wands that many make-up brands seem to be using nowadays. I prefer an old fashioned, basic mascara brush and Dreamweave certainly seem to know what type of mascara wand most of us ladies like to use.
At the moment I have dyed jet black hair and eyebrows but naturally, I’m quite fair skinned with fair hair. My eyebrows and lashes are practically see through so I love to use ultra black mascara to make my invisible lashes stand out. Fibregenics gives a deep black coating to my lashes from root to tip. No more baldy appearing eyelashes! 😂
My lashes are quite short in length but when I apply a really good mascara, they can look like I am wearing individual lashes. That is why I love Fibregenics! My lashes have gone from being transparent and non existent to long, thick and dark and I really do have the false lash effect after using Fibregenics. I am shocked at how long they are! Especially compared to before.
I have green-blue eyes and the colour of them definitely stands out after applying Fibregenics. It makes my eyes pop and the lash colour contrasts the colour of my eyes perfectly. I love how they look. I will definitely be using this mascara from now on and I’ve already recommended it to my friends who have also got theirs from tomakeyougorgeous.co.uk.
Important advice for you all – don’t go overboard when building your lashes up. At one point I got a little greedy and may have applied too much. Hello spider eyes! So with every coat of the Fibregenics Mascara that you apply, make sure you take a look at your lashes before you add more mascara to them. If you do apply too much, you will end up with clumpy eyelashes so be cautious! A little goes a long way!
Also, keep some cotton buds at your side when applying the mascara. If you’re anything like me you will need them to remove mascara from your skin! I’m so messy, ha-ha.
Check out Icon Fashion House to see the Fibregenics video review on YouTube.
How To Apply
Simply apply like you would with any mascara. Sweep the mascara brush upwards from root to tip, grasping each lash to attach the unique fibre bonding system. Coat from every angle, to achieve desired effect. Once applied, I personally like to touch up the ends of my lashes only to achieve maximum length.
TIP: Add some Black Kohl Eyeliner to your inner lashline and/or Black Liquid Eyeliner to your top lash line for extra gorgeousness!
Where To Buy
Although it is not yet out on general release, it is available from only a few websites at the moment, tomakeyougorgeous.co.uk being one of them.
If you’d like some for yourself or would like to purchase one as a gift for somebody then head over to the website to snap one up. With Christmas coming up, the mascara is expected to sell out fast on all websites that stock it, so don’t hang about!
There is currently a competition running over on their Facebook page. For a chance to win a bundle of prizes worth over £100, including the Fibergenics Mascara, Lip Voltage plus many more fabulous prizes to be won! The competition ends on the 14th of December 2015 and Christmas will certainly come early for one lucky lady. Head over to their Facebook page now to get your entry into the prize draw. You will see the competition posts on their timeline!
