7th Heaven – ‘Halloween’ Trick Or Treat Yourself Peel-Off Face Mask

Happy Halloween you little beauties!

Halloween is without a doubt one of my favourite holidays so you can imagine how excited I was when I heard a fave brand of mine – 7th Heaven had launched a limited edition Halloween themed face mask. It is the Trick Or Treat Yourself Peel Off face mask which comes in a 10 ml sachet and like the others has a generous amount of product – enough for 2 applications easy. The Trick Or Treat Yourself mask is actually a revamped version of the Cucumber Peel-Off mask and the packaging is super scary & creepy – the writing on the packaging is dripping in black & green slime and also features a ghoulish model wearing a face mask, some cucumber eyes and vampire fangs.

The Trick Or Treat Yourself mask is a natural, cruelty-free face mask which contains Evening Primrose Oil, Cactus Flowers, Massacred Lime Oil, Petrified Jasmine Flowers & Cut Up Cucumbers which help to remove dead skin and banish grime leaving a hauntingly beautiful complexion. 7th Heaven recommend the mask for oily & grimy skin and advise us to use the mask once a year to ward off evil free radicals, ha-ha,

The mask itself is a slightly transparent, bright green colour and has a sticky gel consistency with a lovely citrus lime scent. It goes on the skin clear and looks super shiny and you can feel it tightening the pores whilst it dries. I left it on for the recommended time of 25 minutes until it was completely dry and had fun peeling it off and removing dead skin cells. I love peel off masks as they are gentler than scrubs yet work just as good. I love how the Trick Or Treat Yourself mask smells and the fact that it doesn’t hurt when peeling it off – you can also see the dead skin on the mask after peeling. My skin looks a little better after using too. I usually have a clear complexion and it’s rare that I get blemishes or oily skin but the past two weeks my skin has been awful, my complexion has been really dull and I’ve had blemishes appear all over my face with dry skin on my cheeks and an oily t-zone. This mask has removed all traces of oil on my skin and moisturised the dry areas making my complexion look clearer, brighter and more balanced. I definitely recommend this Trick Or Treat Yourself face mask and I can’t wait until next Halloween to treat myself again!

DISCLOSURE: I bought this with my own money.

7th Heaven are running a Halloween GIVEAWAY. All you have to do is upload a ghoulish selfie on the website and add some scary stickers to win a £250 High Street Voucher. Competition ends 1st of November & the winner is picked on the 2nd. I’ve uploaded my creepy selfie & I’ve got my fingers crossed! Visit SkinScare.me for more info.

Budget Yankee Candle Dupe: Wickford & Co – Halloween Candle From Home Bargains (£2.99)

I absolutely love my candles and there is nothing better than relaxing on an autumn/winter night with a gorgeous smelling candle lit. I was over the moon when I spotted these ‘Halloween‘ themed candle by Wickford & Co sitting on the shelves in Home Bargains and for just £2.99, you know that I had to get myself one.

Wickford & Co candles are probably one of my fave candle brands ever, simply down to the fact that they are budget-friendly, Yankee Candle dupes. They look so similar to Yankee Candles which cost around £24 for a large jar and the same size Wickford & Co candles cost a fraction of that price at just under £3.

Thoughts:

The Halloween Candle by Wickford & Co comes in a large, glass mason jar which has a glass lid. On the front of the candle it has a clear sticker on it which features a gold ‘Wickford & Co’ logo and has a cute pumpkin image on it too.

There is a bit of info at the bottom of the glass jar which mainly tells you about warnings, precautions, etc… plus it says what the candle contains – although it doesn’t say what type of wax the candle is made from so I’m guessing it is paraffin wax, but don’t quote me on that. It is a 95-hour candle which will last for ages – 95 hours is like, what, four whole days. So if you leave it to burn constantly, it will last four days! Wow!

The Halloween scented candle itself is a bright orange colour and I can’t really work out how to describe the scent. It is very sweet-smelling and my first thought was that it smells like candy or lollipops. It lingers too, not as much as Yankee Candles but it’s potent enough that it can be picked up by the nose. I left my candle burning at home when I took my two dogs out for a 10 minute walk and when I come back home I could smell the scent all over my apartment.

I’ve lost count of how many Wickford & Co candles I’ve bought over the years and there is a little review already on my blog for the winter/Christmas themed candles (Warm Apple & Cinnamon, Mulled Wine and Gingerbread) which you can read HERE.

I love Home Bargains as you genuinely do pick up some bargains for the home and their Wickford & Co candles are just gorgeous and fabulous. I definitely recommend them and if you’re popping into your local HB anytime soon… don’t forget to pay the candle aisle a little visit as you will not be disappointed. I am soooo excited for Halloween now and I’ll be picking a few more candles up next time I pop into Home Bargains.

USB Candle Lighter

Oh and not to forget… I also bought myself a USB long, candle-lighter as I find it difficult getting my hands into candle jars to light them up. This candle lighter is so easy to use and has saved me from bruised hands and knuckles many-a-times. I got it HERE if you guys are interested. I think it was £19.99 and because you charge it by USB it doesn’t need refilling with fuel so it’s perfect.
