Review: Toni & Guy – Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

I bought some Toni & Guy shampoo & conditioner last week from their Cleanse & Nourish hair collection, I chose their Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner as I’ve been on the lookout for a really good shampoo & conditioner to repair my damaged, frizzy hair. I’ve never bought anything from Toni & Guy before so I didn’t know what to expect but I thought with them being such a popular hair care brand, that the products were sure to be good.

Verdict:

Both the shampoo & conditioner come in 250 ml bottles and to be honest I expected them to be much bigger than they were, although they still had a good amount of product in each. Both bottles also have a push down dispenser which I found easy to use.

I absolutely love the Damage Repair shampoo! It has a pearlescent shimmer and foams up so well I literally had a ball whilst washing my hair and I didn’t want to rinse it off. To say the bottle is not as big as I thought it would be, I think one 250 ml bottle will last a lot longer than expected simply because it lathers so good. The shampoo helps to revitalise hair fibers, which leave it feeling much stronger and a lot more manageable. My hair is super frizzy and dry and this shampoo not only moisturises my hair pretty well but it gently removes excess oil, dirt and impurities from the hair and scalp, whilst giving it a gorgeous little shine and making it healthy-looking.

The Damage Repair Conditioner works by penetrating deep into the hair, repairing damage from root to tip leaving it feeling soft to the touch, I noticed my hair looked healthier after only using once. Like the shampoo, the conditioner has a lovely perfumed scent and it smells gorgeous. I think I may need to buy the conditioner more frequently than the shampoo which lathers amazingly because I like to slather lots of conditioner onto my hair, so basically the shampoo will last longer than the conditioner.

I highly recommend both the shampoo & conditioner if you have frizzy, brittle, dry and damaged hair. After only a week of using the shampoo & conditioner I’m really pleased with the results so far and expect to see better results after each use. My dull, brittle hair appears shinier, softer and less damaged and so much more healthier looking in such a short period of time and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Review: Coconut Oil Hair Mask by Majestic Pure

Hi ladies…

I was sent a little gift from Majestic Pure to try out a while back, it is their Coconut Hair Mask which comes in a 260 ml tub. The packaging is quite simple, just a transparent tub which doesn’t look overly expensive and it has a white screw top lid. The label has all the ingredients listed (which all seem good & natural) as well as some info about the hair mask and directions on how to use.

c__data_users_defapps_appdata_internetexplorer_temp_saved-images_15578887_10211174247416361_2798003432715764106_n

I struggled to open the tub so I had to use a knife to get it open.

Majestic Pure say the Coconut hair mask is enriched with a formula to hydrate and repair damaged hair, it revitalizes, sparkles long lasting shine and restores softness.

The mask itself is a thick, white, non-drip lotion which smells of mild coconut. The lotion spread easily and glided through my roots to my ends coating every strand. I left the mask on for about 5 – 20 minutes each time and on one occasion I left it on my hair over night to give my damaged hair a deep condition.

My hair felt thicker and moisturised after drying with a hair-dryer and it smelled nice and clean although I didn’t notice my hair being any shinier or glossier but it did feel healthier and soft. I do recommend giving hair a good rinse after using it as there were a few times my hair felt like it still had product in it, so I made sure I rinsed the mask off completely.

I would use the Coconut Hair Mask again but it is not one of my favourite hair masks that I have used. I had an Argan Oil Hair Mask which was from Majestic Pure also and I felt the argan oil one nourished and repaired my damaged hair more than the coconut one.

Beauty On A Budget | Poundland Bargain | Revitalising Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner from Xpel Hair Care – Review

Hey hey,

Hope you are all having a gorge day so far! I’ve got another review for you beauties today – I’ve been trying out a new shampoo & conditioner so I thought I’d let you all know about them.

I’ve been using the Revitalising Coconut Water Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner for the last two weeks now and it is the first time I have ever used any products from Xpel Hair Care, to be honest I had never heard of the brand before. I bought them both at Poundland for 99p each and when I noticed ‘Coconut Water’ written on the bottles, you know I just had to buy them. I love everything coconut – it has helped my psoriasis and skin out a lot so I have got myself a little obsession with it!

First Impressions:

I think the bottles look so much more expensive than they are. The shampoo was only 99p and the conditioner was another 99p, which you really can’t complain about, can you. If these were priced at, say, £4.99 each I reckon I would still purchase them, I’m a sucker for coconut ha ha. The bottles look good and there is 400ml of product in each bottle so they are pretty good sized for the price.

They do have some questionable ingredients in them and I do try my best to use natural products so my scalp psoriasis and skin doesn’t become irritated but what the hell. I will do some research on the ingredients list and update the post once I have read up on each one.

What I thought?

The shampoo itself has a clear, runny consistency and it smells slightly of coconut. It lathers well but I found that I needed to use a lot of it to remove all oil and grease from my hair. When washing I didn’t feel as though my hair and scalp was being cleansed and the shampoo lathered more at the ends of my hair than it did at the roots so I applied more to my roots than was probably needed. Luckily though, when I washed the shampoo off my scalp felt cleansed and my hair was sleek to touch and didn’t have a rough texture.

hjj

The conditioner is a basic white colour which looked a bit on the cheap side although once I applied it to my hair, it coated each strand well and spread easily. It wasn’t runny or drippy and it felt moisturising and hydrating. Like the shampoo it has a light coconut scent although the shampoo smells a bit stronger than the conditioner. When I washed the conditioner off, my hair felt conditioned and I was happy that my usually tatty hair was easy to comb. I’ve been leaving my hair to dry naturally and it felt soft to touch once it had dried and easy to style. My hair was also shinier too, I was happy about that. There wasn’t really a coconut scent left on my hair afterwards but it did smell nice and clean so that will do me.

hhjj

Would I buy again?

Overall, I’m pleased with the shampoo and conditioner and I would buy them both again, they aren’t the best I have ever used but I did like them and they are a bargain at 99p each!

I really do love my shopping sprees at the likes of Poundland, B&M and Home Bargains and it is truly amazing what you can get on the cheap in these saver stores.

What’s the best beauty bargains you guys have picked up from Poundland?

Love Katie x

Disclosure: I bought these.

Dry, Damaged & Frizzy Hair? | Inecto’s Coconut Shampoo & Conditoner Are Miracle Workers (Review)

I bought some Inecto Coconut Hair Shampoo & Conditioner a few days ago and I’ve just absolutely fell in love with it! I’ve never tried any of Inecto’s products before, I’ve never even heard of them until now but I had a little voice in my head screaming ‘BUY, BUYY, BUYYY’ while out shopping yesterday. I had to do as I was told didn’t I and I’m so grateful to that little voice now that I have tried them!

What I’ve Been Using

I’ve been using the Inecto Naturals Super Nourishing Coconut Shampoo & Super Moisturising Coconut Conditioner to rescue my damaged, dry and brittle hair.

My Review:

The packaging of the shampoo and conditioner instantly grabbed my attention – I just love the crisp, clean, and simple white bottles because they look so fresh and modern. I was shocked to find that they were only £1.19 each as they were pretty good sized 500 ml bottles and look very expensive.

WP_20160130_09_27_56_Pro

I love how my hair looks and feels after using them! My hair hasn’t looked / felt as healthy as it does now for a long, long time. It is so silky to touch and looks so much healthier. Usually an hour or two later after styling my hair, it becomes tatty and coarse to touch. My hair smells absolutely amazing too and is so shiny and smooth with not a split end in sight – I can’t praise them enough. I’m definitely going to buy the Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner again and I’m really looking forward to trying the Inecto Argon Oil Shampoo/Conditioner too as well as other products made by Inecto.

As mentioned above the shampoo & conditioner cost me around £2.40 for both which I think is a bargain price – I would definitely purchase them both if they where more expensive to buy! I think they’re amazing and they’ve done an amazing job at moisturising my hair so I have put them into My Favourite Products.

Apparently, they are not tested on animals (cruelty free), suitable for vegans and contain no PARABENS.

Recommended For

I’d recommend Inecto Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner to anyone and everyone! Especially those with damaged dry hair who will certainly benefit from the serious moisturising ability. I’d also recommend to anyone who likes to use quality hair products but for a reasonable price too!

Where To Buy

I got mine from Home Bargains for around £1.20 each. You can get some on eBay and Amazon too. Check out Inecto‘s website to find a local stockist near you.

Have any of you tried Inecto products before?
