OOOO! My December Birchbox was delivered yesterday and I have gotta say how much I’m loving this months box design! It’s so pretty. Birchbox has teamed up with British fashion designer Matthew Williamson this month and the box design is based on his Treasure Garden print as well as this months theme of Life’s Little Treasures. Everybody will receive a FULL SIZE festive lip product this month – either a classic red from LOC or a tinted lip balm from Pixi by Petra. Plus every Birchboxer will also receive a FULL SIZE Spectrum Collections make-up brush too. I’m happy with this months box and I’m excited to see what’s in store for our New Year box.

PIXI – Full Size Shea Butter Lip Balm in Natural Rose | RRP £8*

This is a tinted lip balm enriched with skin loving ingredients like shea butter and vitamin E which cares for your lips and prevents them from chapping. Apparently this Natural Rose tinted lip balm adds a lovely nude-pink colour to the lips. I’ve yet to use this balm but I’m looking forward to trying it out. It will make a nice change from my matte lipsticks which tend to dry out my lips, especially at this time of year.

BAIJA PARIS – Caramelised Honey Body Scrub | RRP £14.90

OMG first of all let me say how AMAZING this Caramelised Honey Body Scrub smells. It seriously smells good enough to eat and I can’t wait to give it a try. It is a pre indulgent and luxury scrub and is 97% natural skincare product. It has a blend of sugar, honey and  oil which exfoliates dead skin cells and leaves the skin feeling clean, soft and radiant. I`ve never used anything from Baija Paris before and I have never heard of them until now but this body scrub is probably my fave product in this months box simply because it smells so lush!

MAI COUTURE – Highlight Paper | RRP £15.50*

This Highlight Paper from Mai Couture is an interesting product and I`m looking forward to giving it a whirl. Apparently it absorbs excess shine, adds a non-greasy glow and enchances dull, worn make-up throughout the day making the skin look luminous and radiant.

NIP + FAB – Kale Fix Moisturiser | RRP £14.95*

This is the first time I have ever had a product from Nip + Fab but I have heard so many good things about the brand. The Kale Fix Moisturiser is a superfood blend of kale, water cress, aloe vera and almond oil which moisturises, soothes and rejuvenates the skin. I received a 10 ml sample so I will give it a go for a few days and let you know what I think about it.

Spectrum Collections – Full Size B04 Angled Blender Brush | RRP £4.99*

This B04 Angled Blender Brush is an essential tool and the perfect size and shape to fit the contour of the eyes. It has synthetic bristles and can be used with powder or cream shadows to define the eyelids. I am absolutely poo at doing eyeshadow but I think it is about time that I learned to do my own eyes and this brush is the perfect tool for the job.

Review: Percy & Reed – Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil For Fine Hair

I received a 30 ml travel-sized bottle of the Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil from Percy & Reed in my November Birchbox and I have used it a few times to try and add a bit of shine and volume to my dull, flat hair. The No Oil Oil comes in a small bottle with a  black lid and dispenser and it is a dry, clear oil that smells lovely too – it has quite a natural scent and it smells pleasant and fresh. It is a multi tasking hair oil which has been enriched with violet extract to make the hair smooth, sleek and shiny while adding a little volume to fine hair at the same time. It also contains vitamin B5 which helps to nourish, add strength and repair hair whilst wheat proteins provide protection from heat.

THOUGHTS: I like this oil so far although it’s not the best I have used. I found it easy to use and simply applied two pumps of the oil to my towel dried hair. It has a light weight, water-based formula which adds volume and body as well as providing a little hold without product build-up and it doesn’t make the hair feel greasy or leave hands feeling greasy after applying – I did find the oil to be a little sticky on my hands afterwards although my hair didn’t feel sticky at all. The No Oil Oil is recommended for those with fine to medium hair of any length that is limp and flat hair that lacks volume and there is also a No Oil Oil especially for thick hair too. I love how the No Oil Oil tames flyaway hairs and it also added a lovely shine to my hair, made it feel soft, smooth and sleek and it smells very nice too.

I didn’t see much difference in volume – just the tiniest amount of lift at my roots but my hair is quite thick so maybe the No Oil Oil for thick hair would be better for me. This is not my favourite hair oil and it’s not the best volumising hair product that I have used so I won’t repurchase and to be honest I don’t think it is worth the £14 for the full size 60 ml bottle – I have other hair oils and volumising products which cost less and work better but I do like how it made my dull hair shinier and it was great for taming flyaway hairs.

DISCLOSURE: I received this product in my BIRCHBOX subscription box which I pay for with my own money.

WHERE TO BUYYou can get some No Oil Oil for fine hair HERE on the Percy & Reed website. It is £14 for 60ml and also £14 for the No Oil Oil for thick hair HERE. If you enter your email address on the subscribe pop up you will get 15% off.

Birchbox: November 2017 – VOGUE – Plus Spoiler For The December Box

Hi girls, I’m a bit late posting about my November Birchbox this month as I have been super busy so I thought I’d get this post up before November ends. Birchbox has collaborated with Vogue Magazine in this months box to bring us a bundle of the best beauty products from the Vogue 100 Beauty Hall Of Fame. Included in every box is a mini Benefit Hoola Bronzer as well as a Birchbox makeup brush cleaner. Us Birchboxers got the chance to choose our own box design this month and I went with the one below because it looked more classic Vogue than the other. I’m very happy with this months box and I’m excited to see whats in store for our December/Christmas box.

Birchbox UK November 2017

Products In Box: 5
Monthly Subscription Cost: £10 (plus £2.95 postage)

Benefit – Hoola Bronzer | RRP £24.50*

I have been soooo excited about this product as I had never tried the Benefit Hoola Bronzer before although it has been on my wish list for ages now so I was very happy that I got a mini sample in my box which has given me the chance to try it before I purchase the full size. So far I’m loving it and I have used it everyday since my box arrived and I love the subtle, matte natural glow it gives my skin and it doesn’t shimmer, sparkle or shine. I will 100% be buying the full size but there is a good amount of product in the sample too so it might be a while yet before I’ll need to repurchase.

Percy & Reed – Smooth & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil| RRP £14*

This oil comes in a small 30ml bottle with a dispenser and it is enriched with strengthening ProVitamin B5 and violet extract to nourish dry hair, tame unruly strands, protect from heat styling and gives hair a little volumising lift. I’ve never used anything from Percy & Reed before and it’s always good to try new brands so I’ll certainly be giving this a go.

Klorane – Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk | RRP £8*

This gentle dry shampoo is enriched with oat milk and gently absorbs excess oil while softening unruly strands, it also adds a little texture to the hair to prevent it looking flat and limp during washes. It smells lovely too. I’ll give it a proper go in the next few weeks and pop a full review up when I’ve done so.

Nuxe – Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil Number 4  | RRP from £17*

This multi-purpose oil from Nuxe is a versatile oil and can be used on the face, body and hair. It has a blend of six essential oils to deeply hydrate and it smells lovely too. It has been on my wishlist for ages so I was over the moon when I received a 10 ml sample in my box. I have a few products from Nuxe already and I do like them so I hope I’ll like this oil just as much as the other products I have. So far, I have only used it once or twice as I’m testing another oil out at the moment but I’ll give it a good go in the next few weeks and put a review up for it.

Birchbox – Brush Cleaner | RRP £5*

Not really keen on the brush cleaner this month as I own quite a few already so it probably won’t get used – I will have to find somebody to give it to. It is a great tool for those who don’t own a brush cleaner already as it helps to keep brushes clean and in tip top shape and the grooves allow your brushes to be deeply cleansed which prevents bacteria buildup which causes spots, infection and blackheads.

*RRPs correspond to full-size products in the Birchbox shop.

In December us Birchboxers will be able to choose our own FULL SIZE festive lip product. We can choose a classic party red from LOC or a nice natural lip balm from PIXI. I’m undecided yet on which one I will choose.

Click HERE to use my referral link to sign up and you will get £5 off your first box!

It is £10 a month plus £2.95 postage.

GLOSSYBOX UK: – November 2017 Plus Spoiler & 20% OFF Discount Code

YAY! My GLOSSYBOX came on Friday and this month it’s all about getting cozy. The November box has four full size products and one travel sized – worth about £27 – not a lot compared to some other boxes I have received but good nonetheless considering I only paid £13.25 for the subscription. My fave products this month are the Natural Bodywash from Greenfrog Botanic and the Candy floss Lip Balm from SportFX.

Greenfrog Botanic – Relaxing Geranium & Peppermint Bodywash – RRP* / £8.95

I received a 100 ml travel sized, aeroplane safe bodywash which is actually a good size with a generous amount of product. It is a natural, vegan, cruelty-free plant-based bodywash infused with geranium and peppermint and also contains antibacterial organic soapberries and organic aloe vera. It contains no parabens, SLS or ALS ingredients and it’s made in the UK. It also won the Editors Choice at the 2017 Beauty Shortlist Awards so I’m very excited about it and I can’t wait to use it. It’s also recommended for people with dry skin, eczema, etc… so I’m interested to see how it works on my psoriasis. This is the first product I have owned from Greenfrog Botanic and to be honest I had never heard of the brand until now but I’m very happy this was in my box this month as I love natural skincare products and I’ll definitely be checking out some other products from Greenfrog Botanic..

Beauty UK Cosmetics – Contour/Powder Brush – RRP* / £6.99

So this contour/powder brush was last months sneek peek and I’m happy I received it in my box. You can never have too many make-up brushes, hey! The bristles are so soft its unreal and it can be used for buffing, blending, contouring and highlighting.

Shop /

SportFX Cosmetics – Candy Floss Moisturising Lip Balm – RRP* / £4.99

This is a limited edition, candy-floss flavoured lip balm which has been created exclusively for GLOSSYBOX. It leaves a slight pink tint on the lips and helps to repair dry, chapped lips. It has gorgeous packaging, smells absolutely gorgeous and also contains SPF15, vitamins and antioxidants which help to protect, soothe and soften the lips. I’m happy with this product even though I own tons of lip balms already. This will definitely get used, it smells lush!

Shop /

Collection Cosmetics – Define & Perfect Eyebrow Powder – RRP* / £4.19

The Define & Perfect Eyebrow Powder is a defining powder which fills in sparse areas and adds depth. The formulation contains fibre particles to add instant volume and the fine-tipped nib lets you create natural hair-like strokes. I have jet black hair and I received the brunette 2 shade which is too light for me so I probably wont use it… if I do I will layer it over my brow pencil to add a bit of oomph to my brows.

Shop /

BOOTS – Charcoal & Willow Bark Sheet Mask – RRP* / £2.50

I was so excited when I seen this Charcoal and Willow Bark Sheet Mask in my box as I love a good face mask and sheet masks, originally a Korean trend, are the future. The mask contains willow bark and charcoal to deeply cleanse and purify the skin. The only thing is it contains parabens so if you say no to parabens you won’t be happy with this sheet mask. When are big, popular brands going to ditch harsh ingredients from their products. I’ll give it a go anyways and post a little review when I’ve done so.

In next months box we will all receive a gorgeous Liquid Eyeliner from Steve Laurent in gorgeous rose gold packaging. I can’t wait!

Review: Rodial – Suede Lips Lip Crayon – Big Apple

I got this Suede Lips lip crayon from Rodial in my September Glossybox and this is the first time I have ever owned one of their products so I was very happy to receive it in my box. I was sent a 2.4g lip crayon in the shade Big Apple which retails at £22 on Rodial’s website. For those who don’t know about the brand, Rodial is a high-end skincare & make-up brand founded by international beauty journalist – Maria Hatzistefanis. Rodial sell a wide range of products including skincare, make-up, body-care and gorgeous little gift sets and so far I’m liking the brand.

ABOUT: ”Saturate your lips with intense pigmented colour with an on-trend matte finish with our Suede Lip jumbo crayon. The long-lasting, non-drying formula is enriched with Vitamin E and has a creamy texture, allowing colour to glide on effortlessly for smooth looking lips with a pop of colour. Inspired by the confident, independent city woman, Big Apple is a beautiful soft burgundy berry colour to add a touch of sophisticated colour for a night out with the girls.” – Rodial

VERDICT: On first impressions I did think the Big Apple shade would be too dark against my pale skin as it is a rich dark-nude, burgundy/brown colour with berry tones but I absolutely love it and it has become my fave lip colour these last few weeks and I’ve been wearing it every day instead of my all time fave Kat Von D ‘Studded Kiss lipstick in shade Magick, The colour is gorgeous, not too ‘in your face’ but not a boring colour either. I love it and it is not as dark as I first thought it would be and it really compliments my skin tone.

I love the creamy texture and how it glides easily over the lips leaving a true matte finish and I didn’t find it sticky or greasy either. It stays put for hours too although I did find it to be a little drying on my lips which I’ve found quite common with matte lipsticks. My lips are always dry and chapped at this time of year so before I apply the lip crayon I make sure to moisturise my lips with my Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm to keep them hydrated and soft.  I use the tip of the crayon to line my lips and I then fill in the rest with the crayon. The only downfall is there isn’t enough product in the crayon so it won’t last very long. As you can see from my photo’s I’m nearly used up but, I really do love the colour and I’m really liking the Suede Lips collection so I will defo be looking at the other shades to see what I can buy next – I just wish there was more product in the packaging.

DISCLOSURE: I received this product in my Glossybox subscription box which I pay for with my own money.

WHERE TO BUY: You can get it HERE on the website for £22.

P.S. – Don’t forget to check out the pinned post on my blog. I’m giving away a beauty bundle worth £125 to one of my gorgeous readers so if you are in the UK make sure you enter HERE – you might get lucky!

DIY Craft Project: Up-Cycled Birchbox Drawers

Girls are you like me and have tons of Birchbox draws lying around and you don’t know what to do with them? Then why not get crafty & creative and turn them into beautiful little storage drawers to keep your bits & bobs inside. I was feeling creative yesterday so I gathered a few of my Birchbox draws and made this gorgeous little stacked drawer box:

download (5)download

What You Will Need:

If you want to create this look you will need some white paint, a small paintbrush, some wooden hearts, a ‘love’ sign, some diamante flowers, a glue gun and glue.

How I Made It:

I painted each draw with a white matte paint and waited for them to dry and gave them another coat. Once they were dry I got out my glue gun and put the glue over the bottom of each box and glued them all together.

download (3)download (2)

I then glued some gorgeous, flower diamantes which have pearls in the centre of the flower to each draw just underneath the finger holes. I did add floral buttons before the diamantes but I changed my mind when I found the diamantes. I then painted some gorgeous wooden hearts which I got here from Amazon and glued them down onto both corners of the box. I also had this gorgeous little glittery ‘love’ sign which I got from Home Bargains for 29p and I glued that on top of the box too just behind the wooden hearts.

This stacked drawer box was super easy to make and although my Birchbox box designs were pretty enough as they were – they just didn’t match in with my bedroom decor so I wanted them to ‘go’ with my colour scheme which is just a simple black and white. The drawer box is now sitting on my dressing room table, looking amazing and gorgeous. You wouldn’t even guess the draws were made from cardboard – they look like wooden to me.

download (4)

I had so much fun making this and it has made my life so much easier by storing my fave beauty products inside the draws, so I now know where everything is. I will definitely be up-cycling my other boxes as they arrive!

Glossybox: October 2017 – Unicorns & Mermaids

I can’t even begin to explain how EXCITED I have been for this months Glossybox. I’ve literally had butterflies in my stomach since September and I’ve been checking my emails religiously for a dispatch email from Glossybox. I don’t even know why I have been extra excited this month. Ha. Probably down to the fact that us glossies will receive a gorgeous, pretty, fab, lovely, adorable MERMAID or UNICORN themed box this October. C’mon girls… who doesn’t love mermaids and unicorns! Not only that, this month we will all receive five FULL SIZE make-up products with a total value of £51.48 which is definitely something to be happy about considering we have only paid £13.25 for the subscription.

Mr. Postman delivered my box today and I have been sent the gorgeous pink & blue UNICORN box. I’ll admit I was kind of wishing for the MERMAID box as I’m totally a mermaid at heart but I was still over the moon with my gorgeous unicorn box design and it is sitting on my dressing table right now looking FAB.

Sleek Make-Up – Crème To Powder Blush – RRP £5.99

This cream-to-powder blush is highly pigmented and a little goes a long way. It claims to give a natural, dewy finish and is applied to the cheeks and blended to create a powder finish. Each box will contain one of six shades. unfortunately I got the shade CRIMSON which is so bright its unreal. I would have preferred a more subtle, lighter shade as I think the crimson shade will look ridiculous against my pale skin, I’m guessing I’ll look like a clown. I’ll give it a go nonetheless and I’ll let you guys know what I thought of it. I’m quite new to Sleek Make-Up and I only own one of their products which is the Black Eyebrow Powder – which I’m not a big fan of so maybe this blush will be the decider for me as to whether or not I like Sleek products and if I will buy them again.

Kawaii Enterprise – Brush Cleansing Egg – RRP £7.99

So this Brush Cleaning Egg from Kawaii Enterprise is a bright pink silicone make-up brush cleaner which is easy to use and helps to keep your brushes in great shape and free from bacteria. You just pop your two fingers inside the egg, wet your brush and add a bit of liquid soap or facial cleanser. You then swirl your brushes against the nodules and bumps and run the bristles of your brush down the deeper grooves to realign the brush hairs without damaging them. I think this is a great little pick for this months box as everybody needs clean brushes – but I already own a set of brush cleansing eggs which I’ve reviewed here, so there is no point in having another really. I’m sure my sister will love the Brush Cleansing Egg so I’ll give it to her or maybe I will add it to a bundle of other beauty products and run a GIVEAWAY for you lot. What do ya think?

Shop /

Lord & Berry – Magic Brow Perfect Eyebrow Pencil – RRP £14

The Magic Brow Perfect Brow Pencil is a highly pigmented pencil and it has a marbelised tip which is swirled with two complimentary shades so it looks natural and produces a gorgeous colour variation found in natural brows. I got the brunette shade as I told Glossybox I had black hair in my beauty profile so I’m guessing you will get a shade based on your beauty profile… so make sure if you ever change your hair colour to update your details on the website. I really like Lord & Berry products and I own quite a few of their products already so I’m really happy with this high end product being in this months box. I can’t wait to give it a try and I hope I like it as I’m struggling with my brows at the minute, haha. The pencil retails at £14 so it is worth more than the subscription itself.

Shop /

Bang Beauty – Cream Color – RRP £19.50

The Crème Color from Bang Beauty is a multi-purpose cream which can be used on the lips, cheeks and eyes. It comes in a small tub and has a super shiny mirrored lid which looks beautiful, it is also vegan and cruelty-free so thumbs up. I have never heard of Bang Beauty before so I cant wait to give this product a go as I love discovering new brands – I suppose that’s the best part about subscribing to a beauty box. The Crème Colour is priced at £19.50 so the value of thus product alone outweighs the £10 subscription cost.

Shop /

Make-Up Revolution – Mermaids vs Unicorns Eyeshadow Palette – RRP £4

I’m not really into my eyeshadow palettes because I’m absolutely awful at eye makeup and prefer to get my eyes done by a MUA – but, these mermaid and unicorn colours are so pretty, dreamy and amazing that I think it’s about time I taught myself how to apply eyeshadow properly. YouTube to the rescue! The Mermaids vs Unicorns Palette is a budget-friendly palette at just £4 and there is a double ended eyeshadow brush included too. I think I will try some mermaid and unicorn inspired makeup tonight and if it doesn’t look poo, I’ll post the results on my Instagram page.

Also included in this months box was a gorgeous half UNICORN sticker which I have put on the back of my phone.

Oh and before I forget to mention – Glossybox have also just launched their MERMAID & UNICORN sweatshirts which are available to buy for £29.99. They are gorgeous so I might have to get myself one!

In next months box we will all receive the Contour Powder Brush from Beauty UK – perfect for contouring, highlighting and blending! I’m excited!

It does wear down quite quickly so I don’t think it is long-lasting but it blends well and has a gorgeous, sweet scent which smells amazing.

It is free from parabens, dea, mineral oils, sulphates, pegs, petroleum, silicones, microbeads and artificial colourants and fragrances. I love how it’s an almost !00% natural skincare product so its bound to be gentle and kind on my sensitive skin. It works by gently opening and purifying hair cuticles and provides necessary nutrients to dry hair. It also claims to strengthen hair and make it healthier inside out. It is a white non-drip shampoo and it has a nice, pleasant scent. This is the first time I’ve had anything from Beaver Professional and I will give it a try. Birchbox: September 2017

Last week I signed back up to Birchbox and I’ve been waiting patiently for my box to arrive. It turned up yesterday shortly after my Glossybox and I’m pretty pleased with the products in my box. When I signed up I was given the option to choose a box design out of two boxes but I was given the one I didn’t choose. Not that I’m bothered though. Ha.

Manna Kadar – Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush, Highlighter, Eyeshadow | RRP £15*

Sorry for the lame photograph, I still haven’t bought a new camera! This is the first time I have ever heard or owned a product from Manna Kadar. The Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush, Highlighter and Eyeshadow is a gorgeous shade, almost bronze. I swatched a little bit of it on the back of my hand and so far I absolutely love it. I haven’t used it on my face yet as I am having a lazy, make-up-free PJ day so I will post a full review when I get dolled up.

Polaar – IcyMagic Instant Eye Contour Energiser | RRP £22*

Okay, so I have been excited about this product from Polaar, it is the IcyMagic Instant Eye Contour Energiser which helps to eliminate puffiness, dark circles and stimulates eyelash growth and also contains Siberian ginseng. I tried this out before and although I’m happy with the results, I had the fright of my life when I was trying to lubricate the ‘ball’ by squeezing it a little – the metal ‘ball’ popped and nearly put a hole in my ceiling and cause me to have heart failure, ha ha. So, now it is ball-less and to be honest it’s actually easier to apply underneath my eyes as the ball felt ‘stuck’ and didn’t roll much when applied. Will post a full review soon.

Dr. PawPaw – Original Clear Balm | RRP £6.95*

This is my first product from Dr. Paw Paw and I have been wanting to try their products out for ages. This is a 10 ml tube of the multipurpose balm which is fragrance-free and cruelty free. It’s also a great healing balm which can be used literally anywhere on the lips, skin and hair. I’ve only used a little on my chapped lips so far and it has soothed them and made them soft again! I’ve yet to try it on my skin and hair! I would repurchase this again! I think it is £6.95 for the 25 ml.

Sand & Sky – Brilliant Skin, Purifying Pink Clay Mask | RRP £39.90*

Already used this Purifying Pink Clay Mask from Sand & Sky and I do really like it. It’s enriched with vitamin A and is also a cruelty-free product as well. In my box was a small 13g sample which is enough for about 2 maybe 3 face masks. I had a pamper sesh last night and used this mask with some cucumber on my eyes! Complete bliss! I would buy the full size but at £39.90, it is a bit out of my budget so I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. I have added it to my wish-list though!

Benefit – They’re Real! Doube The Lip in Pink Thrills | RRP £16.50*

I would have loved this but unfortunately Birchbox forgot to put it into my box. I didn’t even realise it was missing until I read the ‘what’s in your box’ leaflet. Not to worry though, I have emailed Birchbox and I’m sure they’ll send me one out pretty soon.

Free Gifts:

Lord & Berry Mascara & Eyeliner Duo

When I signed back up to Birchbox, I was asked to enter my email address to receive a free promo code for a special treat. The code they give me was for this Lord & Berry – Mascara and Eyeliner Duo which I will definitely be using. I love Lord & Berry and own a couple of their products already. Will post a review soon.

*RRPS correspond to full size products.

Also included in this months box was a 15% discount code to use at I got some fab little stickers too which I’ve put on my laptop!

Glossybox: September 2017

It’s been ages since a Glossybox turned up at my door. Last week I signed back up to Glossybox (and Birchbox) and it arrived this morning. In my box was three full size items which I’m pretty pleased about. I haven’t tried any of the products out properly yet as I’m super busy right now but I will sit down later tonight and try each one.

Glossybox September 2017

How Many Products In Box: Six
Monthly Subscription Cost: £10 (plus £3.25 postage)
Sign Up:

Pixi By Petra – Brow Tamer (£12)

This is the easy to use, long-lasting brow gel which defines brows and also contains aloe vera and panthenol to soothe the skin and give a natural look. It’s paraben and fragrance free and not tested on animals. I really don’t know how to feel about this one. I’m excited that this is my first product from this brand but I’m disappointed that it’s just a brow gel – which I don’t use. My eyebrows are super fine and blonde (which I tint) and they really don’t need taming, if anything they need a bit of ooomph as without my eyebrow pencils and powders it seriously looks like I’m browless, ha. I’ll give it a try anyway and if I like it I’ll continue to use.

Monu Skincare – Firming Fiji Facial Oil (£26)

I love my face oils so I’m eager to try this Firming Fiji Facial Oil from Monu Skincare. Yet another brand I haven’t bought from. This oil contains plant oils and essential oils to calm, firm and brighten dull skin. I have the travel size here but the full size product is £26 to buy. Can’t wait to try this out, lets hope it knocks a few years off me, hey!

Rodial – Suede Lips (£22)

I didn’t even know this product was in the box until I read the card which listed all the items in my box, so it was a nice surprise when I found it hiding at the bottom of the box hours later underneath all the shredded paper. So this is a full size product from Rodial, a skincare and make-up brand. I’ve never used any of thier products either but I’m very happy that this was in this months box and I will defo be using it. I have the shade Big Apple from their Suede Lips collection, all worth £22 and enriched with vitamin E to hydrate and moisturise the lips. I haven’t tried this yet but I will post a review on it in the next couple of days. Stay tuned…

Cetaphil – Mini Skincare Trio

This Mini Skincare Trio from Cetaphil is my favourite product in this months box, I love my skincare products and Cetaphil is a brand I’ve been wanting to try for ages. Cetaphil products are recommended by dermatologists world-wide for dry, sensitive skin and for skin disorders like psoriasis and eczema too. Cetaphil is used by models, MUA’s and beauty bloggers everywhere, it’s about time I got to try some of their products. I have super sensitive skin and psoriasis so I can’t wait to try these out. The full size Gentle Skin Cleanser is £14.99, the Moisturising Facial Cream is £8.99 for the full size and the Moisturising Lotion for the body is £14.99 for the full size.

STYLondon – Siligel Blender (£5.99)

I have used products from STYLondon in the past and I’m not the biggest fan of their products but the Siligel Blender has caught my eye so I will definitely give this a try later. Apparently, the Siligel Blender is more hygienic than other blenders and requires you to use less foundation as it doesn’t absorb as much as make-up sponges. Hopefully I’ll like it and it won’t end up in the products I hate bin! I”ll let you guys know…

Kinder Bueno

The Kinder Bueno comes in foil packaging and inside is a not one but TWO delicious milk chocolate wafer bars filled with a milky hazelnut filling….. Just kidding. Trying to be funny. Failed. Ha. I love that Glossybox have given us a treat this month and I’m eating it now with a nice cuppa tea. Nom Nom…

Prices listed above are for the full size products. Also, sorry for the crap pics, I really need to get a new camera.

To sign up for Glossbox use my referral link below to get your first box for only £7 PLUS you’ll receive a free makeup duo worth £30 when you sign up using my link.

Spoiler Alert:
I am sooooo excited for next months box as there are two gorgeous box designs being sent out. All Glossyboxers will receive a MERMAID box or a UNICORN box. I think I’m a more of a mermaid girl myself so I’m hoping I get the mermaid box but I’ll be happy with either!
Which one are you?

Kat Von D – Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Outlaw

Hey gorgeous girls,

A few months back I managed to pick up Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the super bright red shade called Outlaw which I got from Love Me Beauty, a fab monthly beauty subscription box which allocates 60 points each month. Unlike other sub boxes Love Me Beauty allows you to choose your own high end products. The everlasting liquid lipstick cost me 20 points so I still had 40 points to spend on other products. The monthly subscription  is  £10 + £2.95 p&p and you can also buy add on points. If you’d like to sign up to Love Me Beauty, use my promo code ‘KATY99737822’ to get £21 worth of LMB credits to spend on whatever you like. You also get a different make-up bag every month.

The packaging of the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is very pretty, I love the floral detailing on the lid. The lipstick itself is a gorgeous rich red colour with slight orange undertones and it is a good quality, highly pigmented, full coverage shade that seriously stays put.

It glides on the lips like a silky, creamy lipgloss and quickly dries to a matte finish. It is enriched with natural moisturisers including vitamin E and sunflower seed wax. Best thing is the lipstick is suitable for vegans and 100% cruelty free which is great. I love it.

Much love,

Review: Lord & Berry Bronzer

Hey Sexies!

You guys may know I’m a Birchbox subscriber and today I love Birchbox a whole lot more than I ever did before. I got myself a freebie! Woohoo! After reviewing some of my monthly box goodies, I was allocated some points to spend in the Birchbox shop and I bought myself a lovely little bronzer from Lord & Berry in the shade ‘Sienna’. The bronzer is £19 to buy but I got mine for 200 Birchbox points, so basically I got mine free.

Most of you will know all about Lord & Berry, but for those who don’t they are an Italian based cosmetics company known as the eyes and lips specialists who make high-end beauty products loved by make-up geeks, MUA’s and beauty bloggers worldwide.

I love the bronzer because it matches my skin tone perfectly. I always find it difficult selecting the right shade of bronzer but I’ve done quite well picking the shade ‘Sienna’ which is perfect and not to dark for my skin tone. I’m the palest of pale, so I often rely on bronzers to give my Casper-like complexion a bit of faux glow and warmth but most bronzers that I have used in the past have always been too dark for my skin tone, too shimmery leaving my face looking like Edward Cullen in daylight, making my skin look absolutely mingin’ like I need a good wash or they can be too drying on my skin making me look older. This bronzer just gives me a lovely natural glow with a matte finish and it doesn’t look OTT, fake or leaving me resembling an Oompa Loompa like most do.

Taken with camera flash
No flash in daylight

What I especially love is the powder blends easily and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines or wrinkles which is great as bronzers and powders often make me look older than I am but this is just lovely, it looks subtle, very natural because it doesn’t contain any shimmer and it makes my pasty complexion look a hell of a lot more healthier. Overall I think this powder is an excellent all purpose bronzer and works well for tanning the skin as well as contouring – leaving my skin looking one hundred percent natural. It is a bit expensive compared to inexpensive drug store brands but it’s totally worth it.

Buy the Lord & Berry Bronzer for £19 here. There are various shades to choose from.

To sign up to Birchbox click here to use my referral link and get yourselves £5 off your first box. If you sign up don’t forget to review your monthly products on the website to receive some points to spend in the Birchbox Shop.

Much Love,

Tried & Tested: Eve Lom Cleanser (Review)

One of the reasons I love beauty subscription boxes is discovering new brands and products for the first time and falling head over heels in love with them. I fell hard when I got this Cleanser  from Eve Lom in my October Birchbox and for the last couple of weeks, this multi-award winning cleanser balm has been an absolute diamond and it has fast become a favourite of mine. I have been using it twice daily and even though I was sent a small 30ml travel sized pot in my Birchbox, I’m actually surprised at how long this small tub has lasted. So. In two months I’ve used a 30ml tub so I’m guessing a 250ml tub will last around 6+ plus months so you would defo get your moneys worth.

How To Use.

Rub a bit of the balm into your face, rinse the muslin cloth under hot water and place over the face to help open pores, wipe away all traces of make-up, dirt and oil and exfoliate and then rinse the cloth again under cold water and wipe over the face. It is a gorgeous smelling balm, quite minty and herbal and it melts as soon as it touches the skin, gliding effortlessly across the face. You can use a muslin cloth to cleanse and exfoliate the skin but I also use some cotton wool pads when I’m in a rush.

I loved the fact that I seen results after the first use, no kidding! Plus my skin and complexion improved after each use and it has been looking very radiant lately. It has been almost two months and I have seen a huge difference to my skin tone, it looks more even in colour. I did have a bit of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks but the uneven patches are nowhere near as noticeable as beforehand and my skin looks and feels hydrated. This godsend of a cleanser is amazing at moistuising and nourishing the skin and my demon wrinkles and fine lines have also smoothed out so much, my frown line is not as deep-set as it was so hooray! (I hate getting older!)

This is the first product I have ever used from Eve Lom and I’m hooked on the brand already, I’m just gutted that the cleanser is a bit on the expensive side as are the other products. I have never paid more than £20 for a cleanser (my Glycolic Cleanser from InstaNatural). so it is a little out of my budget at £55 for a 50ml tub, £85 for a 200ml tub and £250 for a 450ml tub! Jesus! Mary! Joseph! I’ll have to rob a bank.

Would I buy again?

I don’t usually spend that much on a cleanser but hell yeah, I’ll be buying it again! I’d be a fool not to. You can get some here if you’d like to try it out yourselves. I’m pretty certain you guys will LOVE it! This is definitely a cleanser I’d recommend for all skin types and skin concerns and I would use this all year round for sure – rain, snow, wind, sun, it really is a multi purpose cleanser.

Has any of you used any other products from Eve Lom before? What’s your fave one?

Love Ya,

Kate x

Disclosure: I got this in one of my Birchboxes.

Unboxing: Birchbox x Tatler (Shake Ya Tail Feather) – November 2016 (Plus £5 Off Discount Code) #BirchboxUK

Hey Hey…

My Birchbox arrived a few days ago so I’m a bit late posting because I’m a complete scatter-brain, ha.

I love the design of the box which has peacock feathers all over – absolutely gorgeous, the colours look fab and pretty. It’s another draw box too so maybe I will stack all my draws together and make a huge storage case out of them. This Month Birchbox have collaborated with magazine Tatler and everybody will receive two make up products this month. Woo-hoo!

Here’s what was in my box.

Wet Brush® Midi Wet Brush – RRP: £8.99*

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer – RRP: £15*

bbrowbar Eyebrow Pencil –  Indian Chocolate (Bbrowbar) – RRP £13*

NUXE Crème Prodigieuse® – Normal to Combination SkiN – RRP: £21.00*

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle – RRP: £18.50*

*All RRPs correspond to full sized products at Birchbox*

I did like everything I received. I loved the BBrowbar in Indian Chocolate, it is probably my fave from this months box and I actually like it better than my goof proof brow bar from Benefit which I have been using the last few weeks. It is a good match for my brows and the nib is quite hard and will require sharpening less so I reckon this will last me a while, I love it and have used it everyday since I received it… The leave-in conditioner spray smells amazing – it literally smells like heaven and makes hair fell soft to touch, I just adore how it smells. I love the Wet Brush too, I hate brushing wet hair because my hair is quite delicate at the moment after using loads of blonde hair dyes but this combs through my hair gently, easily detangling any tats and nots and I like it. Pleased with the travel sized moisturiser from Nuxe too although I wouldn’t say I was the biggest Nuxe fan but I do like this moisturiser, its thick, creamy and makes my skin look moisturised and hydrated. I can’t wait to give the lip tar primer from OCC a whirl – I’ve not yet tried it out but I like the idea of it as one of my pet hates is lipstick that fades or is transferable. So I’m sure that will come in handy and I have a feeling I will like it a lot.

Okay girls, so this is my second subscription box from Birchbox after signing up about two weeks ago. This months box has an astrological theme with four glow in the dark boxes based on the astrological elements of Earth, Fire Air and Water. The stars on the boxes literally glow in the dark. So pretty. I’m an Aquarius born in February so I have the ‘Air’ themed box which includes a full size make-up product and some good-sized samples.

Overall I’m happy with this months box although I was a tad disappointed about not receiving the pillow spray. I really wanted that spray – I’m an insomniac ha ha. Everything else I’m pleased about, especially my full size Lord & Berry Lip Crayon because I absolutely love it, I love the colour and I was so glad when I opened my box and seen it chilling there because I had my fingers crossed for it. So, woo-hoo. I’m also excited to try out my Eve Lom Cleanser + Cloth as well as the NKD tan which will be getting some love tonight. Those three are my favourites from this months box.

Hi Girls,

It’s been a while since I cancelled my Glossybox subscription and I have been trying to decide which beauty subscription box I should try next and last week I subscribed to my first ever Birchbox.

I’m not one to refuse a bargain and I’m happy that I got myself two boxes for the price of one and a load of fab stuff for just £10, I really can’t complain! I signed up just in time for the September box and my free box was the Millie Macintosh inspired box which I believe was the July box.

Oh I love the highlighting trio, it is an absolute dream pot. I’ve literally used it every day since my Birchbox arrived. I was given two options to choose for my full-sized product, either the Highlighting Trio or the Creme Blush but I had to choose the Highlighting Trio because it looked amazing and I have seen some good reviews on this. It can be used as a highlight, a blush and an eye shimmer and I just love it! I love the Volume Spray from Batiste too, it’s a first time using this and I like it a lot, it really does give volume to the roots, it worked instantly and it makes my hair smell absolutely lush so I will be using this again and I will possibly buy the full size bottle! The Nuxe shower oil is not a favourite of mine to be honest as I have other shower oils I like better, but it is a nice treat and it leaves skin smelling divine but I doubt I’ll be buying the full size product. I’m happy with my first box it’s just I’m a little gutted that I didn’t receive the Laura Mercier Primer like some others have but oh well!

There was also a gift offer in my September box for a FREE LALABOX worth £12.69. You can choose 36 of your fave snaps to receive inside a gorg gift box all you have to pay after entering the promo code is £2.99 – so I am just about to order mine now! Pleased with my free box, I really can’t complain! I love the little drawstring make-up bag… the material is not the best quality but it will come in handy and I will defo use it. I really like this lip gloss too, it’s such a pretty colour. I’m not one who usually likes fragranced lotions and creams because they can irritate my psoriasis but the Rituals Magic Touch Body Cream is something else, it smells absolutely amazing and I’ve become addicted to applying it constantly because I love how it smells! The Nails Inc polish is a gorgeous nude mini nail polish, it’s very pretty and I have actually got the full size but this will come in handy if I ever run out or for travelling. Now my fave product from my free box has to be John Frieda’s Anti Frizz Primer. I absolutely love this, it smells like absolute gorgeousness and it has given my damaged and frizzy hair a little bit of TLC, making my wavy hair feel very soft to touch, I love it.

I will be reviewing a couple over the next few days so keep a look out for my posts! I will definitely continue to subscribe to Birchbox, I’m happy with both of the boxes I received and I have just recieved my October box like an hour ago so today is a very good day indeed!

Review: ‘Lolita’ Velvet Lippie – Absolute New York

Hey dolls,

I got this a liquid lippie a few months ago in one of my GLOSSYBOX’s and I have been meaning to review it as I have actually worn it quite a couple of times now and it’s nearing empty. It is a buttery matte lip cream for Absolute New Yorks Velvet Lippie collection. I got the the shade LOLITA in my box which is very pink and very pretty. There are 24 shades to choose from and after seeing some swatches on YouTube I’m liking shade TERRACOTTA a-lot. (I like my nudes.) I love the blue shades SURFS UP and LAGOON too, they are not usually colours I’d choose as they are a bit daring and wild but I think they look fab! They look like they were made especially for mermaids! Gorgeous!

The Velvet Lippies retail at around £4.95.

I love my pink lippies so I instantly liked the pretty pink shade LOLITA. In the tube it reminded me of a pin-up pink shade. The packaging isn’t anything special, it is a simple looking transparent tube with a black screw lid, pretty basic.

It has a pleasantly mild scent (thanks to artificial fragrance), it smells like vanilla a bit but it’s not overpowering, it’s very subtle. It doesn’t taste of anything either.

First time I used this I did what I always do, rub my lips together which I shouldn’t have! It made the colour patchy and uneven and I had to apply more. It’s best to apply the colour to your lips and keep them parted until they dry matte. It looks cheap too, the applicator especially. It is so tiny and flimsy and it doesn’t hold much product or doesnt transfer much colour to the lips so you have to keep dipping it back in and out and in and out to build the colour up and make it even.

I really wouldn’t say this was buttery at all. It does feel creamy though. I have a bottom lip lobe and a few lines and wrinkles which have crept up the last few years and this did accenturate them and they became more noticeable the longer I wore it. It dried my lips out too.

It is a really beautiful colour isn’t it, it’s almost like a pinky, lilac, lavender colour and it feels creamy and velvety when applied to the lips and it spreads like a lip gloss would but it dries  matte.

It also made my lips appear fuller and more plump so I really love it for that alone and to say it is quite cheap, it is well pigmented and long-lasting; I can keep this on for a couple of hours without needing to top up.

I didn’t look at the price before trying the lippie on and afterwards I guessed the Velvet Lippie would be priced at around £1-£3. To be honest the only thing I liked about it was the colour, the fact I prefer matte lips, the beautiful pinky, lilac colour and how my lips appeared plumper. I have loved wearing it the last few weeks as I think it really brightens my ‘Casper’ complexion up, giving my pale skin a lovely pop of colour. It really is a gorgeous shade for Spring and Summer. Another thing, it did dry my lips out a bit and it really accentuates fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and it makes chapped lips look a million times worse. AVOID if you have chapped, dry and flaky lips! I was cursed with chapped lips last week after over using my lip plumper (oops) and the colour looked awful on my lips so I had to get the lip balm and lip scrubs out to give me a perfect smooth base.

So, final words. It is a pretty colour for Spring and Summer, it’s cheap, has long staying power and it makes lips appear plumper.

Do you like it?

Have you tried any of the other Velvet Lippie shades? Which ones?

Peace out girls!

Hey Girls! 😘

How ya doing? I thought I would share the contents of my April GLOSSYBOX with you all. I’ve been a GLOSSY since January 2016 and I think it’s about time I filled you in on the little goodies I’ve been receiving each month! I chose a monthly subscription when I signed up three months ago and I’ve been receiving my boxes on the 10th of each month.

Here’s what was in my April 2016 box.

I received four full-sized products and one good-sized sample.

Make Me Beautiful Lip Chubby From NEXT – (FULL SIZED PRODUCT)

I’m really loving this little beautiful lip colour. It is a gorgeous hot pink ‘chubby’ lip crayon that is super creamy and rich and glides on effortlessly giving a glossy finish. The Lip Chubby is enriched with a blend of natural plant waxes and oils to moisturise the lips. This ‘Make Me Beautiful Lip Chubby’ is from NEXT and is £8 to buy, there are eight other shades to choose from too. The Lip Chubby’s from NEXT are very similar to Clinique’s Chubby Sticks which retail at around £17. This will definitely be a spring/summer favourite for me! I might even purchase some other shades. Click here to buy.

Leighton Denny Expert Nails Miracle Mist – (FULL SIZED PRODUCT)

Leighton Denny’s Miracle Mist is a convenient aerosol spray bottle that quickly speeds up polish drying time. A spray that dries wet nail polish!? I’ll have me some of that. 👌 No more waiting for nails to dry or reapplying due to smudging! The ‘Miracle Mist’ conditions cuticles as well. 😍 It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it. I’ll admit I probably wouldn’t buy this in store but nonetheless, I can’t wait to try it out! 💅

The Miracle Mist retails at £11 for 75 ml bottle. You can get some here.

Temporary White Henna Tattoos From STYLondon – (FULL SIZED PRODUCT)

The tattoo’s I received are called ‘Casablanca’. They are white temporary henna tattoo’s in different designs and have bits of gold speckles here and there. They are so pretty! 😍😍😍 ver…but I’ll never use them! These would look fabulous at music festivals so if you’re a festival goer… snap some up! The tattoo’s are easy to apply and can be easily removed with olive oil or baby oil. They are so gorge and quirky and they have a stunning design but sadly they are not my kind of thing!

They retail at £6 from STYLondon and there are lots of other temporary henna designs to choose from. Take a look!

Brow Lift Perfecting Liner From Studio 10 – (FULL SIZED PRODUCT)

This is my favourite product from April’s Box! The Brow Lift Perfecting Liner from Studio 10 is a double-ended eyebrow pencil that works equally well on all hair shades and skin tones. The smudge-proof formula stays put – so there’s no need to worry about eyebrow pencil all over your forehead and eyelids as the day goes by. The actual colour of the brow liner is kinda taupe-greyish-brownishy and it is possible to build your desired shade intensity depending on your preference. The flesh-toned highlighter is great for brightening the brow bone and enhancing your brow shape. It is enriched with vitamin E too.

The Brow Lift Perfecting Liner from Studio 10 is £22 to buy. (What’s great is for every Brow Lift Perfecting Liner sold – Studio 10 will donate one to the cancer charity ‘Look Good Feel Better’ in a bid to help women feel confident about their appearance again.)

Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil From The Body Shop – (SAMPLE)

I was very happy to have a Body Shop product in my box this month. This little facial oil sample from The Body Shop’s ‘Oils Of Life’ collection is enriched with Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt, Camellia seed oil from China and Rosehip seed oil from Chile. The facial oil is a lightweight formula, quickly absorbed and leaves a non-sticky finish. It is suitable for daily use to revitalise the skin, replenish moisture and revive radiance giving you a beautiful complexion. It also claims to visibly reduce any signs of ageing. What I love about this facial oil is that it’s made with 99% oils of natural origin. It is £28 for a full-sized 30 ml bottle. There is also other skin care products in The Body Shop’s ‘Oils Of Life’ range. Click here to check them out. The Body Shop are giving customers £10 off all orders that are over £25 so get your little arses over there and take advantage!  😉

Box Value in April’s 2016 GLOSSYBOX:

£48 (not including The Body Shops sample of Revitalising Facial Oil)

Not bad for £10 eh! 😊

I’ll be reviewing each one properly over the next few days so keep those pretty eyes peeled for my reviews and pics if any have caught your eye! 😘

Any questions? Need help? Tips? Advice? Recommendations?

Comment below… I’d love to chat! 😊

Thanks for taking the time to read my post girlies! Have a fabulous day! 💅

Lots of Love

Katie ❤

The Love Skull design is definitely my fave! 😍😍😍

Browtician have collaborated with feature designer Suzanne Carpenter  who has created the lovely artwork on the Love Skull tweezers.

I got these in my February GlossyBox and fell in love with the Love Skull design straight away! The outer packaging is so colourful, fun and eye-catching it’s really no surprise that I adore them!

The tweezer come with a small storage case to put the tweezers in when not using as well which will help to keep them in tip-top condition. The case is the perfect size for your make-up bag or your handbag and is a life saver If you’re clumsy  like me and always misplacing or losing your tweezers.

They’re very easy to use and have a sleek and precise tip – this means they grip those unwanted hairs well and remove them with one easy pull. They are made from stainless steel and have a slanted edge to really grip and remove the most stubborn of hairs.

The Love Skull tweezers retail at £7.99. They are limited edition so if you love them as much as I do then get a move on before they are gone forever! 😊

Review: BALM BALM – Tea Tree Multi-Purpose Lip Balm

I received BALM BALM‘s Multi Purpose Tea Tree Lip Balm in my LOVE LULA February subscription box. I’ve only just got round to trying it out so I thought I would do a quick little review for you all seeing as this cold weather and flu has cursed me with chapped lips this week!

The Multi Purpose Lip Balm is a gentle balm that can be used not only on the lips but the face and body too! The ingredients are natural, pure and 100% organic. Made from shea butter, calendula, sunflower oil, beeswax, jojoba, tea tree essential oil and nothing else. BALM BALM claims it moisturises, soothes and nourishes the skin as well as having antibacterial properties. Great for zits and pimples!

I love the fact the Lip Balm is 100% organic and the ingredients are natural and pure without any nasty chemicals added as I’ve been trying to use more natural and gentle products lately – so I will definitely be checking out some other products from BALM BALM. The lip balm is a multi-purpose balm that can be used anywhere on the body not just the lips. I have been using the balm on my chapped lips and it does help to sooth my irritated, cracked skin but it’s not the best at healing them – I’ve been using the balm for about a week or two now and my lips still feel chapped although they are not as sore or irritated anymore. I love how it is not a sticky balm as well but after applying it on my lips it kind of leaks into my mouth and I can taste the strong tea tree essential oil! It doesn’t taste nice at all but the taste does eventually go away after a while although that’s probably because I’ve swallowed it, ha! So, next time I buy a lip balm from BALM BALM I will make sure I get a fragrance free one instead.

I also tried the balm on my dry skin too. I have psoriasis and the balm seems to have moisturised and calmed my irritated skin a little bit. I’ve also tried it on some blemishes and pimples and I think this balm works best for treating spots rather than healing chapped lips so I will keep this for when I get a pimple. Tea Tree works amazing for spots!  I’ve also found that a little bit of the balm goes a long way so one 10 ml tube will last for ages.

DISCLOSURE: I received this product in my Love Lula subscription box which I pay for with my own money.

You can get some from Balm Balm’s website here. for £5.50. All orders placed will receive a free FREE Rose Geranium Hand Balm Sample with any order and delivery in the UK is free when you spend £10 or more!
