Review: Toni & Guy – Leave In Conditioner For Dry, Frizzy & Damaged Hair

I bought some of Toni & Guy’s – Leave In Conditioner a few months ago as I was bleaching my jet black hair to make it a bit lighter and it was starting to look a little dry, brittle and damaged – especially at my ends. I needed a really good leave in conditioner to protect my hair from heat, to control frizz and to repair my damaged, fried hair at the same time. I thought I’d give the Leave In Conditioner a go as I loved the Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner so much that I was hoping this would be just as good too.

First Impressions:

The Leave In Conditioner from Toni & Guy comes in a 100ml white tube which has a clear, lockable flip-lid. The packaging is okay – nothing to shout about and it has all the relevant info printed on the back. The product itself is a white, creamy lotion which has a smooth texture and the consistency of actual conditioner. It smells lush too! It doesn’t have the cruelty free bunny on the back and it is made by Unilever. The Leave In Conditioner makes hair manageable for all-day nourishment and hydration. It also controls frizz, moisturises dry hair and protects against humidity all day long. It is suitable for all hair types too.

I absolutely love this stuff girls! I was using Aussie’s spray but I like this one much better. I use the Leave In Conditioner every-time I wash my hair and I love how it smells, absolutely gorgeous. It kinda has a perfumey scent to it but it’s lovely and it makes the hair smell really nice! I use a small amount on towel dried hair and run it through my ends and mid-lengths, avoiding my roots to prepare my hair for styling.. After using my hair feels softer, moisturised and it really works to control frizz as well as acting like a heat protector. I have also used it on dry hair and it does work just as well although I do prefer to use it on damp hair.  Since using my hair doesn’t look as damaged as it did and it moisturises the hair instantly and tames frizz, flyaways and damaged ends. It also seems to be repairing my damaged ends a little too and I love how it protects my hair from heat so I’m not damaging my hair as much when blow-drying, straightening, curling, etc….

I love this Leave In conditioner – it’s probably one of the best I have ever used and I will defo be buying it again when the bottle is empty. I’ve had mine for a couple of months now and I still have lots left so it is long-lasting too. I also use Toni & Guy’s Damaged Repair Shampoo & Conditioner which I recommend using if your hair is really damaged or over-bleached.

Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money.

Where To Buy: You can buy some HERE on Amazon UK for £5.15. You can also pick a bottle up from the website, Boots or Superdrug.

Review: Creightons – Clay Balancing Shampoo & Hydrating Conditioner For Oily Roots & Dry Ends

I picked up CreightonsClay Balancing Shampoo & Clay Hydrating Conditioner from Home Bargains last week for 99p a bottle and I was instantly drawn to them because it said ‘clay’ on the bottle. I am a clay-a-holic and swear by the stuff so I couldn’t resist. I love using clay on my skin but I have never tried it on my hair before so I was interested to see what these would do.

It also says on the bottles that they are made for those who have oily roots & dry ends and I do get oily roots where my healthy hair is growing through and the ends are very dry because of over-bleaching in the past. I don’t think I have seen a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner that claims to combat both oily roots and dry ends so I couldn’t wait to give them a try. I’ve had a few other shampoos & conditoners from Creightons in the past and I have always liked them so was expecting good things.

For those of you who don’t know – Creightons are a UK-based beauty brand who sell a wide range of skincare and hair products. Take a look at their website HERE.

First Impressions

The Clay Shampoo /& Conditioner come is tall, 250 ml, metallic silver-green bottles with black, purple and white writing and they also have green lockable flip lids. They have a gorgeous little mermaid theme to them with the green, silver ad purple colours on the bottle. If mermaids used shampoo & conditioner, these are what they would use!

I think the bottles look quite expensive and you would never guess they were just under £1 each. The shampoo has a runny consistency and also has an off white colour whilst the conditioner has a thick, non-drop consistency and is white with a pearlescent shimmer. They both have a pleasant scent too which is mild and plant-like.

When I first used the shampoo I was thinking to myself ‘I won’t be buying this again’ as it really didn’t lather well at all. I used more shampoo than was probably needed to get a small amount of lather and even then it didn’t lather up much. After washing it off I applied the conditioner all over my hair and it instantly felt soft and moisturised. After rinsing I towel dried my hair and combed through and my hair was easy to comb and didn’t have any tatts or knots. I left my hair to dry naturally and I never expected that I would be impressed with the results. My hair felt so soft and smooth when it had dried completely and it has a gorgeous little shine on it.

Two days later my roots were not oily like they usually are and my ends still felt soft and moisturised. I’ve used the shampoo & conditioner about 3 times since I purchased them and I do really like them both – my hair feels great and it looks so much better too. I have used more expensive shampoos & conditioners in the past that haven’t made my hair look or feel as it does now.

So, at first I didn’t like the shampoo and conditioner and I did think they were both rubbish and wouldn’t do anything good for my hair at all – main reason being that the shampoo doesn’t lather up and the scent, although it’s pleasant and not bad at all, it isn’t a fave of mine –  I wouldn’t say ‘woahhh this shampoo & conditioner smells absolutely amazing‘ – because it doesn’t, it just smells okay.

After using the shampoo & conditioner a couple of times already I really love what they have done to my hair and I’m amazed at how healthier it feels and looks. At 99p a bottle, they are great value for money and I will 100% be buying them again. I definitely recommend the shampoo & conditioner to anyone who has oily roots or dry, brittle ends. If you have both oily roots and dry ends like I do, then these are perfect for you and they will help with both problems.

Disclosure: I bought these products.

Where To Buy?

I got mine from Home Bargains for 99p each – so pop down to your local HB – they also have lots of other Creightons Shampoo & Conditioners for sale so you can take your pick.

I think Asda sell them as well and probably most chemists, supermarkets and beauty shops like Superdrug will probably stock them too.

Review: Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum – Inecto Naturals

I picked up some of Inecto Naturals‘ – Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum from Home Bargains and thought I’d write a little review for you guys as both of my other Inecto posts have proved quite popular with my readers. I loved the Super Nourishing Shampoo & the Super Moisturising Conditioner and The Divine Coconut Hair Oil made my hair feel silky soft. Both of these posts are up there with my all-time, most viewed posts so I thought I would give the serum a whirl.

INECTO - Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum

Who are Inecto?

Inecto Naturals are a fabulous little beauty brand based in the UK who sell natural, cruelty-free, vegan friendly skin-care and hair-care products.  What I love most about Inecto Naturals is that up to 90% of their ingredients are from natural origins. They also work with farms across the world to add only sustainable sourced oils to their products.

What is the Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum?

The Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum is a lightweight serum infused with Pure Organic Coconut Oil. It works by smoothing fly away hairs and tames damaged, frizzy hair leaving it feeling soft and sleek.

First impressions:

I love Inecto‘s packaging, all of their products look simple yet fresh and eye-catching. The serum comes in a 50 ml squeezy tube with a ‘lockable’ lid to stop any unwanted product spill. The serum itself is a clear, transparent oil  which smells so god damn sweet. It has a mild coconut scent too.

Inecto Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum 1

How to use the Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum?

Warm a little pea-sized amount of serum in your hands and run through the hair, focusing on the ends.

Inecto Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum 2

The serum is basically an oil so you guessed it – it feels kinda oily! When applying to your hair make sure to use only the tiniest amount as only a little bit of the serum is needed. If you use too much your hair will look oily and greasy. You can add a little more if needed but I would advise to apply a little at a time so your hair doesn’t look like it hasn’t been washed in a decade! Try to stay away from the roots too as they are already lubricated with your naturally occurring  hair oils and we know that too much oil = grease. Apply only to the mid-lengths and tips of your hair.

Wow! Another Inecto product that I love! I think the Smooth Me Hair Serum is probably my all-time favourite product from Inecto which is saying something as I absolutely loved the Shampoo & Conditioner and the Hair Oil. This serum really works amazingly at taming frizzy hair and making damaged hair appear healthy-looking, my hair looks great. The serum is really oily so only a little bit is needed which means one 50 ml tube will last ages. After applying only a little of the serum to my mid-lengths and tips my hair instantly felt smoother and I can’t get over how healthier it looked. My hair was left with a little shine and it smelled gorgeous for most of the day too as the scent lingered for quite a while. I think Inecto are probably one of my fave brands right now, simply because their products are inexpensive, they really do work and they smell amazing! I can”t wait to try some of Inecto‘s other products out. I really do love the Naturals Coconut range and think I’ll try some of the skin-care products next as I’ve only used the hair products.  I will have to try something from the  Naturals Argan range next time too.

Where to buy?

I’ve bought all of my Inecto products at Home Bargains for less than £2. I think the Smooth Me Coconut Hair Serum was around about £1.20 which is an absolute bargain, trust me! Although, if you want to shop now you can buy it online at  Amazon UK here for £2.80 plus £1 postage.

Review: Toni & Guy – Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

I bought some Toni & Guy shampoo & conditioner last week from their Cleanse & Nourish hair collection, I chose their Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner as I’ve been on the lookout for a really good shampoo & conditioner to repair my damaged, frizzy hair. I’ve never bought anything from Toni & Guy before so I didn’t know what to expect but I thought with them being such a popular hair care brand, that the products were sure to be good.

Both the shampoo & conditioner come in 250 ml bottles and to be honest I expected them to be much bigger than they were, although they still had a good amount of product in each. Both bottles also have a push down dispenser which I found easy to use.

I absolutely love the Damage Repair shampoo! It has a pearlescent shimmer and foams up so well I literally had a ball whilst washing my hair and I didn’t want to rinse it off. To say the bottle is not as big as I thought it would be, I think one 250 ml bottle will last a lot longer than expected simply because it lathers so good. The shampoo helps to revitalise hair fibers, which leave it feeling much stronger and a lot more manageable. My hair is super frizzy and dry and this shampoo not only moisturises my hair pretty well but it gently removes excess oil, dirt and impurities from the hair and scalp, whilst giving it a gorgeous little shine and making it healthy-looking.

The Damage Repair Conditioner works by penetrating deep into the hair, repairing damage from root to tip leaving it feeling soft to the touch, I noticed my hair looked healthier after only using once. Like the shampoo, the conditioner has a lovely perfumed scent and it smells gorgeous. I think I may need to buy the conditioner more frequently than the shampoo which lathers amazingly because I like to slather lots of conditioner onto my hair, so basically the shampoo will last longer than the conditioner.

I highly recommend both the shampoo & conditioner if you have frizzy, brittle, dry and damaged hair. After only a week of using the shampoo & conditioner I’m really pleased with the results so far and expect to see better results after each use. My dull, brittle hair appears shinier, softer and less damaged and so much more healthier looking in such a short period of time and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Where To Buy?

I got my shampoo here for just £4.75 and my conditioner here for £4.82.

Amazon UK also have 50 ml sample bottles available to buy too, but they are add on items and you must spend £20 to qualify for delivery.

You can get a 50 ml bottle of the shampoo here for £2.99 and you can buy the 50 ml conditioner for ONLY £1 here.

Review: John Frieda Frizz Eaze – Forever Smooth Anti Frizz Primer

Hi Girls,

I’ve been using John Frieda’s Anti Frizz Primer for months now and my hair would be totally lost without it, I absolutely can’t live without it! I’m one of those girls who gets bored with their hair colour easily and I regularly change my colour from black to blonde to brown to black and then back to blonde and so on, as well as using heat, i.e, hair straighteners, curling irons and hairdryer, so you can imagine how damaged my hair is, especially at my tips. A few months back I impulsively bleached my long, jet black hair to platinum blonde within a week or so, bleaching it with the highest strength volume about 3 or 4 times which resulted in me having to chop a good few inches off my ends to prevent my hair from snapping off. My hair is still damaged now, I refuse to cut any more off except for the odd trim every now and then but its gonna take a while to repair. I’m gutted I’ve lost my length but at least I know with good care it will grow back again.

The Anti-Frizz Primer comes in a 100ml bottle and has a easy to use pump dispenser. One pump gives a good amount and enough product for the entire hair. The primer itself is a smooth, non-drip, white lotion. It doesn’t feel sticky and it dries into the hair quickly. It has the most absolutely gorgeous, beautiful scent and the pretty smell lingers on the hair, making it smell lovely and fresh. The scent is definitely one of my favourite things about the product, it smells so nice and makes a great little perfume for the hair.

It’s pretty simple to use, I just shampoo and condition my hair, and then apply one or two pumps to my towel-dried hair as it works best on wet hair. I only apply to my mid-lengths and tips to prevent my roots from looking too oily and greasy. As I mentioned above one pump is enough but I use two pumps on my bra-strap length hair to be sure my tips are fully saturated with the primer. I especially love how immediate the results are and within seconds of applying it to my damp hair, I can see and feel how much healthier my hair is. My pre-frizzy tips feel much smoother, silkier and less bushy at the ends completely eliminating every inch of frizz. It also gives my hair a nice little shine too which I’m happy about as without the primer, my hair looks so dull. After applying it, I leave my hair to dry naturally and then I use my hair straighteners on a low heat setting just to smooth out my natural waves as I prefer straighter hair, my hair feels so light and the product doesn’t weigh down the hair which is a bonus.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who battles with frizz or damaged hair. With each use the hair will become healthier as unlike most anti frizz lotions which only make the hair appear healthy but not actually doing anything to help repair it, John Frieda’s primer works not only on the outside but deep inside too. I think the Anti-Frizz Primer is 100% worth the money, I don’t think I have anything bad at all to say about it.

Where To Buy?

I got my first bottle in one of my Birchboxes quite a while ago but since then I’ve repurchased it here from Superdrug for £9.99 but I have just checked and it’s on sale for £6.65.

With Love…

Review: Coconut Oil Hair Mask by Majestic Pure

Hi ladies…

I was sent a little gift from Majestic Pure to try out a while back, it is their Coconut Hair Mask which comes in a 260 ml tub. The packaging is quite simple, just a transparent tub which doesn’t look overly expensive and it has a white screw top lid. The label has all the ingredients listed (which all seem good & natural) as well as some info about the hair mask and directions on how to use.

I struggled to open the tub so I had to use a knife to get it open.

Majestic Pure say the Coconut hair mask is enriched with a formula to hydrate and repair damaged hair, it revitalizes, sparkles long lasting shine and restores softness.

The mask itself is a thick, white, non-drip lotion which smells of mild coconut. The lotion spread easily and glided through my roots to my ends coating every strand. I left the mask on for about 5 – 20 minutes each time and on one occasion I left it on my hair over night to give my damaged hair a deep condition.

My hair felt thicker and moisturised after drying with a hair-dryer and it smelled nice and clean although I didn’t notice my hair being any shinier or glossier but it did feel healthier and soft. I do recommend giving hair a good rinse after using it as there were a few times my hair felt like it still had product in it, so I made sure I rinsed the mask off completely.

I would use the Coconut Hair Mask again but it is not one of my favourite hair masks that I have used. I had an Argan Oil Hair Mask which was from Majestic Pure also and I felt the argan oil one nourished and repaired my damaged hair more than the coconut one.

You can buy the Coconut Oil Hair Mask – here.

Dry, Damaged & Frizzy Hair? | Inecto’s Coconut Shampoo & Conditoner Are Miracle Workers (Review)

I bought some Inecto Coconut Hair Shampoo & Conditioner a few days ago and I’ve just absolutely fell in love with it! I’ve never tried any of Inecto’s products before, I’ve never even heard of them until now but I had a little voice in my head screaming ‘BUY, BUYY, BUYYY’ while out shopping yesterday. I had to do as I was told didn’t I and I’m so grateful to that little voice now that I have tried them!

What I’ve Been Using

I’ve been using the Inecto Naturals Super Nourishing Coconut Shampoo & Super Moisturising Coconut Conditioner to rescue my damaged, dry and brittle hair.

My Review:

The packaging of the shampoo and conditioner instantly grabbed my attention – I just love the crisp, clean, and simple white bottles because they look so fresh and modern. I was shocked to find that they were only £1.19 each as they were pretty good sized 500 ml bottles and look very expensive.

I love how my hair looks and feels after using them! My hair hasn’t looked / felt as healthy as it does now for a long, long time. It is so silky to touch and looks so much healthier. Usually an hour or two later after styling my hair, it becomes tatty and coarse to touch. My hair smells absolutely amazing too and is so shiny and smooth with not a split end in sight – I can’t praise them enough. I’m definitely going to buy the Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner again and I’m really looking forward to trying the Inecto Argon Oil Shampoo/Conditioner too as well as other products made by Inecto.

As mentioned above the shampoo & conditioner cost me around £2.40 for both which I think is a bargain price – I would definitely purchase them both if they where more expensive to buy! I think they’re amazing and they’ve done an amazing job at moisturising my hair so I have put them into My Favourite Products.

Apparently, they are not tested on animals (cruelty free), suitable for vegans and contain no PARABENS.

Recommended For

I’d recommend Inecto Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner to anyone and everyone! Especially those with damaged dry hair who will certainly benefit from the serious moisturising ability. I’d also recommend to anyone who likes to use quality hair products but for a reasonable price too!

Where To Buy

I got mine from Home Bargains for around £1.20 each. You can get some on eBay and Amazon too. Check out Inecto‘s website to find a local stockist near you.

Have any of you tried Inecto products before?

Thanks for reading chicks !
