Superdrug: Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Face Mask (Review)

Hey gorgeous girls…

A couple of days ago I popped into Superdrug to empty my purse and I literally bought every face mask they had available. I’m kinda addicted to face masks and I’m always stocking up on them even though I have too many as it is. ūüėā So, yeah the Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Mask was one of those and I used it last night.

6tag_180218-235735

Like all of Superdrug’s own products – the mask is vegan-friendly and cruelty free. It comes in a sachet and unlike 7th Heaven’s sachets where you can get maybe 2-3 masks out of one sachet – these just have enough for one mask. The mask itself is so chocolatey, it’s sticky and it seriously looks, feels and smells like melted chocolate. It’s kind of similar to Terry’s Chocolate Orange and it seriously smells good enough to eat. ūüėć

After I cleansed, I followed the directions in the packaging and splashed my face with warm water and left it wet.  I then smothered the mask over my face and chilled for 10-15 minutes before I washed it off.

As soon as I put it on, I instantly felt it warming and the heat was so fab. ūüĎĆ The heat didn’t last long though and after a few minutes in the sensation wore off.¬† I absolutely loved the heat ‘feeling’ so much that self-heating masks will now be one of my fave kinds of masks – not far off from hard drying ones. The Chocolate Orange Mask was also very messy and it got absolutely everywhere – I’m a dozey cow! So next time I use it, I’ll make sure to wear an old t-shirt and tie my hair up and apply it in the bathroom.

After washing the mask off, my skin felt clean, lovely and soft and my skin looked clear. I’d definitely use it again. I’m looking forward to trying out all of my other Superdrug’s ‘own’ face masks and I bought a few so expect to see a lot of face mask posts in the future! ūüėā

Pop into Superdrug to see the whole range of face masks they have or head over to the website: www.superdrug.com

Lots of love…

Review: Spa – Eye Make-Up Remover Pads With Aloe Vera (Home Bargains)

Hey chicks!

Thought I’d do a little review on these Eye Make-Up Remover Pads With Aloe Vera by Spa which I got from Home Bargains. I always get the Spa face wipes as I like them a lot and I seen these Eye Make-Up Remover Pads when stocking up on wipes last month and thought I would give them a go to see if they work on stubborn eye make-up. I really can’t remember how much they were – I think it was something like ¬£1 for a twin pack and there are 30 pads in one pack so you get 60 pads altogether, a great little bargain hey.

SPA - Eye Make-Up Remover Pads With Aloe VeraSPA - Eye Make-Up Remover Pads With Aloe Vera REVIEW

The wipes are made in Israel and they are suitable for all skin types. They are also alcohol free so they are unlikely to dry out the skin and claim to be pH balanced although it doesn’t list the exact pH levels on the pack. The packs don’t have the cruelty-free bunny either and it doesn’t state whether or not these have been tested on animals so I’m assuming they have been but I may be wrong.

The pads come in a small lilac packet which has a resealable label to prevent moisture loss. The pads themselves are quite small, square-shaped, very moist and they have a nice subtle fragrance too.¬† I’ve been using these for a couple of weeks now, just a little over a month to remove my mascara and eyeliner and I use about 2-3 pads each time depending how much I’m wearing. They remove mascara well from the eyes and they don’t irritate my eyes, or burn or sting which is good. I haven’t tried them with waterproof mascara or eyeliner yet as I don’t use them but I reckon they will work quite well.

I was also using them on my entire face and neck to remove my foundation, concealer, powder and blusher from my face and they do remove every trace of dirt and oil. For a while, I actually preferred the small pads over the full-sized wipes but I soon changed my mind when I broke out in blemishes and drier skin a week or two later.

The Eye Remover Pads do contain perfume in the ingredients list and my sensitive skin does usually break out when using products with perfume in so I’m not surprised I got a few blemishes. From now on, I will only use the pads to remove eye makeup and I won’t be using them to cleanse the rest of my skin.

7h Heaven – Dead Sea Mud Mask – Hard Drying & Deep Pore Cleansing (Review)

7th Heaven Face Masks

I have been using 7th Heaven face masks since¬†the beginning of time, back¬†in the noughties when I was an ASBO teenager¬†and I love them just as much now as I did back then; if not more. They’re is so many different masks to choose from and I think it is amazing how cheap the ‘sachets’ are to buy and the fact that they work really well considering how inexpensive they are – so everybody can¬†‘mask’ and¬†afford them whatever their skincare budget may be.

¬†¬†¬† 7th Heaven’s products are¬†completely natural, contain no harsh chemicals and they are also¬†suitable for vegetarians, cruelty-free and the brand DO NOT test their products on animals; which is another reason why I love them – they are natural, kind to animals and PETA approved.

Today, I’m reviewing one of my FAVE 7th Heaven masks¬†and it is the Dead Sea Mud mask which has been recommended for oily skin. I have dry skin (sometimes combination) I can get a little¬†oily on my t-zone & very dry everywhere else and the mask works just fine on both types of¬†skin. The Dead Sea mud mask is rich in skin-loving nutrients, Dead Sea minerals and¬†Lavender to help draw out toxins from the skin, unblock¬†pores, normalise oily skin, soothe irritated skin and redness and leave skin looking squeaky clean and feeling soft.

7th Heaven - Dead Sea Mud Face Mask Reviews

Contains:

Kaolin Рwhich is a natural, mild clay; is deep cleansing and draws out impurities and excess oil Рwithout drawing too much oil out. It helps to cleanse and exfoliate debris on the skin and removes dead skin cells.

Dead Sea Mud –¬†which has a high¬†concentration of¬†salts & minerals and help to relieve symptoms of skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema & acne. The rich mineral content¬†makes it a great exfolliant¬†and it helps to draw out toxins from the skin, restore the skins pH balance as well as improving elasticity, and minimising pores, fine-lines and wrinkles.

Lavender Рis another ingredient that helps to relieve symptoms of skin disorders. It soothes irritated skin and calms redness. It is also an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory astringent and helps to normalise oil production and keep bacteria at bay too.

Seaweed Рis a beneficial superfood that has anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Its anti-bacterial properties make it an ideal ingredient for fighting everything from acne to aging.

Dead Sea Salt Рlike dead sea mud; dead sea salt helps to relieve symptoms of psoriasis, acne and eczema. It is used for detoxifaction and anti-ageing and helps to reduce fine-lines and wrinkles, plump and hydrate the skin and reduce inflammation.

Bergamot Рa fresh, clean smelling essential oil  used to treat and prevent skin infections, help relieve symptoms of acne, psoriasis, eczema and cold sores. It is also an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antioxidant..

Thoughts:

¬†¬†¬† I love a good hard-drying mask – I love the feeling on my skin when they have completely dried and this ‘Dead Sea Mud’ mask from 7th Heaven doesn’t disappoint. I reckon I have tried most of the 7th Heaven face masks but the ‘Dead Sea Mud’ mask is obviously one of my faves and I find myself repurchasing it again and again.

¬†¬†It comes in¬† 20g sachet and you can get about two applications from one sachet. There are also bigger tubes available to buy too but I’m happy enough with my sachets. The mask¬†has an earthly, pale green colour, a thick consistency and a slightly fragranced¬†scent to it – I’m not sure what it smells like but it smells okay. The ingredients state that it does contain parfum & a colourant although these are not artificial and are¬†instead man-made so they are gentle on sensitive skin. To be safe, always do a patch test on your inner arm before using.

I apply the mask straight from the packet with my fingers after cleansing and it easily spread and glides over the skin. It is super creamy and non-drip too! I leave it on for about 15-20 minutes or until it is completely dry. The mask isn’t bue like the models on the packaging and it not as dark/grey-ish as other dead sea mud masks I have used which is because this one contains Kaolin Clay; so after about 5-10 minutes the greeny ‘mask’ starts to dry and it turns into a chalky white colour.

¬†¬†¬†¬† After 15+ minutes the mask should be ready to wash off but if it hasn’t – it can be left on a little longer until it has dried completely.¬†Before I wash the mask off, I like to gently rub my face with my fingers in a circular motion¬†to exfoliate my skin¬†and remove dead skin build-up¬†then I¬†just wash the excess off with warm water and a face cloth, (I use my WipeOut! MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth). Once I have removed all of the mask I splash my face with cold water to close my pores and my skin looks clearer, healthier, happier¬†and brighter¬†afterwards. It also feels smooth, soft and moisturised too.

¬†¬†¬† The Dead Sea Mud mask is definitely one of my favourite masks ever and I think it’s one that I will always use as I like how my skin looks after using. It really has worked on my skin and¬†my skintone looks good and my complexion looks clear.¬†I also love that¬†the mask¬†is super cheap; (mine was 99p from Asda), there are two applications in one sachet; it contains no nasty ingredients; and it is totally cruelty-free. What’s not to love!

Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money.

Where To Buy: You can get 7th Heaven face masks literally anywhere: Asda; Superdrug; Boots; Tesco; Sainsbury’s; Home Bargains; Amazon UK, etc… They are about 89p -¬£1.50 to buy and they have loads of different products to choose from!

How To Remove Make-Up Using Just Water With The WipeOut! Amazing MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth From Magnitone London (Review)

A good few months ago, I was sent the WipeOut! MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth from Magnitone London along with the BlendUp Vibra-Sonic Brush (which I’ll review another time) and it completely slipped my mind to try it out / review it. I accumulate so many beauty and skincare products – I’m literally a hoarder and every once in a while I have to do a little clean out to discard out of date products, empties, products I won’t use and to also make a little more space in my small apartment. These clean-outs are when I find products I forgot I had and I eventually get around to trying them.

Magnitone London - WipeOut! The Amazing MicroFibre Cleansing ClothMagnitone London - WipeOut! The Amazing MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth Review

So, last week I found the WipeOut! MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth in my skincare stash and I thought I’d give it ago as I have been quite lazy with my skincare these last few weeks. I haven’t had a routine at all – instead, I have been using throw-away face wipes, which are okay to use short-term but after using them for like a month straight I started to notice my skin was looking awful because of them. I broke out in blemishes, my skin was dull and dry and basically I looked like shit. In the past I have found that when my skin is bad, keeping all products off my skin helps to balance itself out naturally so I was very intrigued to see how the Wipe Out Cloth would work for my complexion.

The WipeOut! MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth removes tough, long-wear and oil-based makeup with just warm water. It is a super soft, super fluffy face cloth making it perfect for use one sensitive skin, eyes and lips, with no cleansers, gels or products needed. The WipeOut! microfibers swell up when wet, grabbing hold of dirt, oil and makeup and trapping them away so makeup removed properly and is not smeared back onto the skin. The WipeOut! Cleansing Cloth is re-useable 1000 times, it is quick drying making it perfect for travelling and it is also machine washable at 30¬įC. Each Cloth is 40cm x 17cm, smearproof and double sided.¬† You can buy one single cloth for ¬£7.99 or you can get two for ¬£15 – they are available in pink and grey too.

Thoughts:

For the last month or so my skin has been really awful – completely my own fault for using face wipes everyday and being lazy by not sticking to my usual skincare routine. I’ve had blemishes appear on my face (chin area), dry patches on my nose and cheeks and my overall complexion has been dull and uneven. I thought I’d swerve the throwaway face wipes and give the WipeOut! Cloth a try to help re-balance my skin and I especially liked how it requires no products just water when cleansing, so my skin would kind of ‘repair’ itself on its own without the use of any products. I have also been using Dr. Botanicals – Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil which is a completely natural oil and my skin does look much better already.

Magnitone London - WipeOut! The Amazing MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth Reviews

I love the cloth – it is so soft and fluffy and it literally does need just water to remove even the toughest of makeup. I just rinse under the hot tap, wring it out and wipe it across my face to cleanse, remove dirt, oil and makeup and prevent spots and blackheads. The warm cloth slightly opens my pores to allow deep cleansing which helps to remove blackheads too. I’d recommend splashing your face with cold water after using to close your pores. What’s great about the WipeOut! Cloth is the microfibers hold onto particles which stop them from being spread over the face. Since using the cloth (and oil) my skin is finally starting to look human again and it is looking clearer and feeling softer. I also have a little sheen to my skin and it looks so much brighter.¬†After using I just wash with a little bit of soap, rinse and hang it up to dry, ready to use again. The cloth is also eco-friendly as it’s reusable/washable so no more wipes in landfill which means it’s much better for our environment. I haven’t washed it in the machine yet but it can be washed at 30¬įc. So yeah, I’m totally happy with this product and I will defo use it again and again.

Disclosure: I was given this product for free.

Where To Buy:

You can buy one WipeOut! MicroFibre Cleansing Cloth HERE on Magnitone’s website for ¬£7.99. You can also save yourself a quid and get two for ¬£15 HERE.

Review: Pure Potions – Skin Salvation Scalp Oil For Scalp #Psoriasis

I was sent a bundle of goodies from the award-winning, natural skincare brand¬†Pure Potions last month to try out and share my thoughts about the products on my blog. I have already reviewed the Omega Rich Cleansing Oil and the Bath & Body Emollient Oil¬†but today I’m gonna let you know how I got on with the¬†Scalp Oil which I have been using to treat my scalp psoriasis.

22046537_1780392432253438_3361349410382190467_n

ABOUT THE SCALP OIL:

Skin Salvation Scalp Oil¬†is a natural moisturising scalp treatment, formulated as an alternative to chemical shampoos which strip natural oils from the skin and can dry out sensitive scalps. The healthy balance of oils in the scalp is preserved by the Scalp Oil’s uncomplicated natural formulas and richly moisturising oils.¬†¬†The Scalp Oil is a natural oil for itchy scalps and is also suitable for people who are prone to seborrhoeic dermatitis and scalp psoriasis. It is a vegan friendly, cruelty free oil that suits sensitive and allergy prone skin thanks to the 100% natural ingredients. It contains no perfumes, parabens, palm oil, SLS, phthalates, silicones, phenoxyethanol, PEGs, mineral oil, synthetics – and like it says on the bottle NO LIES! – Pure Potions do not greenwash their products like a lot of other ‘natural‘ skincare brands. The Scalp Oil was also the winner for the natural health / best eczema range at the 2017 International Beauty Awards so it has been recognized as an amazing product.

INGREDIENTS: Helianthus Annus (Sunflower Seed) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive Fruit) Oil, Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Borage Officinalis (Borage) Oil, Stellaria, Media (Chickweed) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract , Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Oil, Rosemarius Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil, Limonene from essential oils.

Borage Oil

Borage Officinalis Oil: This oil replenishes the scalp with Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA) which enriches and moisturises the scalp.

Rosemary Oil

Rosemarius Officinalis Oil: This oil increases the circulation to the scalp and also acts as a general conditioner and tonic for the hair and scalp.

Nettle

Nettle Oil/Urtica Dioica: Reduces inflammation and itching and is a natural antihistamine.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil/Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil: Extremely nourishing, moisturising, rich in essential fatty acids, which are often lacking in those with dry skin.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The Scalp Oil comes in a dark green 50 ml glass bottle which has a white pump dispenser and a screw off lid. The packaging looks nice, fresh and simple and has lots of info about the ingredients and how to use, etc… printed on the label. The oil itself has a very, very runny consistency and is a transparent yellow in colour. On first impressions it smells kinda ‘minty’ thanks to the Rosemary Oil and ‘herby’ thanks to the Nettle Oil & Hemp Oil.

VERDICT:

¬†I did struggle at first with the dispenser – it had a clasp on the bottle neck which needs to be removed before you use it and I had trouble getting the nozzle to produce some oil but a simple turn clockwise sorted it out – the nozzle can also be ‘locked by turning it anti-clockwise. The first time I used the Scalp Oil I applied the oil to the whole of my scalp using the pump dispenser/nozzle. After applying the oil I was shocked to see that I had used half of the bottle after only using it once. I think I made a mistake by applying it all over my scalp instead of .just the areas with psoriasis. So, if you buy the oil use it only on your psoriasis to prevent wastage.

I found the oil itself really easy to use – I hold the bottle up to my scalp and just¬† press down on the nozzle/dispenser to dispense a little of the oil. Once I have applied the oil to every bump in my head, I then massage the oil into my scalp with my fingers and leave it on overnight.¬†I think it is best to use the oil at night-time before bed so the oil can do its magic while you catch up on your beauty sleep. I’d also recommend you place a towel over your pillowcase to prevent any staining – I made my own DIY Towel Pillowcase made from a bath towel to stop the oil from ruining my lovely pillows. If you want a tutorial on how to make a towel pillowcase – let me know in the comments. My hair obviously feels greasy and oily after applying the Scalp Oil so when I wake up the next morning I jump into the shower and wash my hair with a natural, clarifying shampoo. I always make sure to shampoo twice to make sure the oil is washed out of my hair. I love the oil because it contains no nasty ingredients like parabens or SLS which I’m trying to cut out as I have found these ingredients make my skin and scalp a million times worse.

I have darkest black hair and it sometimes looks like I have really bad dandruff when my scalp starts to flake so I’m hoping that the more I use this oil, the better my scalp psoriasis will get and people will eventually stop touching my hair and telling me ‘you have something in your hair’ ha ha! After using the Scalp Oil about five times now – my scalp has started to feel calmer and it has soothed my itchy skin, the oil also nourishes my hair too and after washing it off, my hair feels so soft and healthy. I still have my scalp psoriasis and the oil hasn’t cleared it up but it has definitely softened a couple of bumpy scales and moisturised my scalp by giving it a little TLC & relief.

DISCLOSURE: I was sent this product free of charge for review purposes. I have not been paid for this review and the words in this post are my own and have not been influenced by the brand in any way.

WHERE TO BUY: You can get the Scalp Oil HERE from the Pure Potions website.

Review: N.O.P Cosmetics – Happy Feet Soft Touch Foot Peel Mask For Hard Skin & Dry, Cracked Heels

Exactly two weeks and one day ago I used one of the Happy Feet Soft Touch Foot Peel Masks for the first time from a company from Amazon UK called N.O.P Cosmetics. I get hard skin on the heels of my feet and I absolutely hate how dry and ugly they look and how rough and rubbery they feel – my boyfriend thinks he is hilarious and likes to call me ‘leather feet’ which I don’t find one bit funny at all! HA! I was so happy when I was asked to review the Foot Peeling Masks on my blog and I put them on as soon as they arrived because I was excited and interested to see if they would really work and help to make my feet feel soft and smooth again and remove the hard skin from my heels.

foot peel maskss

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:¬†The Happy Feet Soft Touch Foot Peeling Mask is a foot mask rich in Pomegranate Oil and helps to moisturise by softening hard skin and healing and soothing dry, cracked heels. N.O.P claim the foot masks are 100% natural and organic skincare products but the ingredients list is jibberish so I don’t know about that for sure. The masks come in a little box and the packaging is lovely although there are a few grammar mistakes printed on the box – not something you’d expect to see from a product that costs ¬£20. For example they have listed TWELVE as an ingredient??? I’m pretty sure there are no ingredients named twelve… ha ha. Anyway, moving on… there are two foot peeling masks included in the box and they both come in their own silver foil pouches which help to keep the moisture in so they stay fresh.¬†The masks themselves look like huge plastic white socks and there are four ‘socks’ altogether so enough for two applications – the inside of the ‘socks’ have like a gel lotion and they also have a nice, fresh and fruity scent which I really like.

INGREDIENTS: Water, Glycerin, Sodium Lactate, TWELVE?, Trehalose,  Pomegranate Seed Oil, Golden Chamomile, Witch Hazel, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Collagen, Triathanolamine, Matchyl Isobutyl Katona, Iodine, Butyl Alcohol, Butyl Carbamate, Allantoin, Essence, Licorice, Permeation Sodium Hyaluronate and Botanical Extracts.

foot peel masks

foot peel mask

HOW TO USE: The foot mask is very easy to use РI just teared open one of the sachets and took the pair of plastic socks out. They were attached together so I took a pair of scissors and cut down the middle so I had two individual socks. After making sure my feet were clean and dry I went ahead and put the socks over my feet. There is a sticky tab at the top of each sock to help keep them secure but I just tied a hair bobble around my ankles to make them feel even more secure. I did try to walk in them which was a big mistake, the socks started to slip off my feet and I was slipping everywhere so if you do buy these try not to walk whilst wearing them because you might fall and hurt yourself Рwear a normal pair of socks over the masks to prevent this. I kept the socks on for 90 minutes as recommended  РI wore mine whilst chilling watching Netflix and I forgot I even had them on.

22788715_1790355107923837_7501245436920391455_n

VERDICT:¬†After the recommended time was up I took off the socks and washed the leftover residue off my feet and made sure they were dry. I was impressed with the results and my skin felt really soft and smoother. The masks didn’t get rid of my hard skin completely but it did a great job at softening them and they didn’t feel as leathery as they did before so I was chuffed about that and thought I was onto a winner. The masks didn’t irritate my psoriasis either. Apparently, after two weeks of using the foot mask you should start to see your skin peeling and shredding old skin which will allow new, softer skin to grow instead. I was a little bit disappointed at this. I waited two whole weeks for my skin to start peeling and felt let down when it didn’t. I have a few odd patches where it looks like it may be about to peel but nothing like I was expecting – I thought that every bit of skin on my soles would peel but it never happened, not even a little bit. I think I’ll put the other foot mask on tomorrow and wait another two weeks once again so I will update this post with the results. I hope to see some peeling second time round!

THOUGHTS:¬†I like the Soft Touch Foot Mask, it’s softened the hard skin on my heels and the skin on my feet feels smoother even after two weeks of using it but I’m still disappointed because my skin didn’t peel like it was supposed to – after all it does say it is a ‘foot peel mask’ so that is what I was expecting. I do think it is overpriced a little bit too – especially as it hasn’t done what it is supposed to do – yet and like I mentioned above the grammar mistakes on the box – I know this doesn’t affect the product itself but still. So, it really does help to soften the skin but I reckon you could achieve the same results using less expensive products such as a natural pomegranate oil, a castor oil or maybe a good quality exfoliating scrub like this Arabica Coffee Scrub from Art Naturals which I have reviewed¬†HERE if¬†you want to have a read.

DISCLOSURE: This product was gifted to me for review purposes.

WHERE TO BUY:¬†You can buy the Happy Feet Soft Touch Foot Peel Mask HERE for ¬£10.99. When I was first sent this product it was priced at ¬£19.99 and I’ve just noticed that the price has been reduced.

Review: Monu Skin – Firming Fiji Facial Oil For Dry, Sensitive & Mature Skin

I got a generous 30 ml sample size of the Firming Fiji Facial Oil from Monu Skin in my September Glossybox and I have been using it every day since – I really, really like it and I will def be getting the full size when this bottle is empty!

Sorry in advance for the low quality images – my camera is broke!

21687558_1779239372368744_1984170333418644639_n

22728954_1790251654600849_2245335228179283232_n

For those of you who don’t know already, Monu Skin are a natural, cruelty-free skincare brand based in the UK and all of their products contain zero parabens, no artificial ingredients and no harsh chemicals. I’ve never had anything from Monu before and I do love my natural, cruelty-free skincare products so I’ve been very excited about this facial oil and was looking forward to trying it out on my sensitive, dull and ageing skin. I’m 30 years old now, still young I know but I’m at that stage in my life where you start to notice fine lines and wrinkles appearing on your face for the first time.¬† I’m gutted that my skin is not as firm or plump as it was in my teens and twenties so I couldn’t wait to try this oil to see if it worked and made me look a little younger.

The Firming Fiji Facial Oil:

The Firming Fiji Facial Oil is recommended for all skin types Рespecially dry, sensitive and mature skin. It is a soothing, paraben-free oil formulated to smooth and hydrate the skin. The oil contains, Rose Essential Oil which helps to soothe sensitive skin and it has a gentle, floral, mood-enchancing aroma, Hazelnut Essential Oil which is a light, nourishing emollient oil that is easily absorbed into the skin and great for combination and oily skin types and Patchouli Essential Oil too which is an exotic Indian essential oil which has a woody aroma  Рit is used for relaxing and moisturising mature skin, helping it to look firm and visibly radiant.

22688335_1790251741267507_1701576059426954230_n

Thoughts:

I’ve been using the Firming Fiji Facial oil on my face to make my complexion look brighter and to help plump and firm my newly-sagging skin and make my skin look¬† youthful and my complexion, radiant. I have a deep frown line between my brows, fine lines around my eyes and my smile lines are starting to become more prominent so I use this oil before bedtime as an intensive overnight treatment for the whole of my face and my skin looks so good when I wake up. The oil absorbs into the skin very quickly and it doesn’t leave a greasy residue afterwards which gets a thumbs up from me as I HATE greasy oils. I’ve also been using the oil every morning after cleansing, toning and moisturising and I apply it again under my eyes, on my frown line and my smile lines just before I put my make-up on – I think it helps my base make-up to go on much smoother and helps to create a flawless finish as it stops foundation, concealer and powder from looking dry and cakey.

It is a versatile oil too and it can be used on the body as well as the face. I’ve been using a little on my hands and it literally melts my psoriasis scales and feels soothing on the skin. I love the earthly, natural woody scent it has and I especially love it for being a cruelty-free, natural skincare product which contains no harsh ingredients at all. I do try to use natural skincare products as much as possible as my sensitive skin doesn’t agree with products formulated with artificial ingredients and nasty chemicals. Natural skincare products are gentler on the skin and work so much better in the long run especially if you have skin complaints like acne or skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema.

Where To Buy?

Like I said I have a 30 ml tester bottle and I have just took a quick look at the Monu Skin website and seen that a 30 ml bottle with an included dropper is priced at ¬£21.95. The website doesn’t seem to stock the full-size 100 ml bottle for some reason. So, if you want to buy a 30 ml bottle you can get one HERE on the website.

I tried to find a website that stocks the 100 ml bottle and I came across it on the Look Fantastic website. The full-size 100 ml product is just £29.95 with free delivery on Look Fantastic so I would rather buy an extra 70 ml for just £8 more. I was expecting the full size to be like £50+. Review: PurOrganica – Skin Clearing Treatment For Spots, Pimples, Blemishes & Acne

A few months ago I was sent this¬†Skin Clearing Treatment from¬†PurOrganica who are a natural skincare brand based in the US.¬†PurOrganica skincare products do not contain parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, sulfates, lactin, gluten and GMO ingredients. All products are cruelty-free and are manufactured in FDA registered eco-laboratories. I have a few PurOrganica products already and the Ultimate Youth Eye Gel Treatment (which I reviewed here) is actually one of my all time favourite skincare products.¬†I was hoping I would like the Skin Clearing Treatment as much as the eye gel but I’ve not really had the chance to use it on my skin as it is very rare that I get pimples or blemishes. This week however I have unfortunately broke out in a couple of blemishes and I have two pimples that have appeared on my face – so I have finally gotten around to trying and testing the Skin Clearing Treatment properly and I have been using it daily for about a week now.

22688467_1789934201299261_4329834534938168558_n

Skin Clearing Treatment:

”The Skin Clearing Spot Treatment is a powerful and effective drying solution for men and women with troubled skin types that are looking to attain a clean, clear and beautiful appearance. This advanced fading treatment is the best when it comes to reducing the appearance of acne, whether it be pimples, blackheads, whiteheads or even just leftover redness from an old blemish that isn’t fading quickly enough. The¬†formula contains 2.5% Salicylic Acid, Niacinamide and 10% MSM, which work together to help minimise whiteheads and blackheads on the spot. These are three of the ingredients studies have shown to be most effective for people looking to get rid of acne quickly and easily. This¬†drying spot corrector is specially designed to fix your blemishes easily and efficiently – with a simple dab onto the face with a cotton swab, the Skin Clearing Treatment is an easy at-home remedy to get the ‘before and after’ results you’re looking for when it comes to clearer and more even skin.” –¬†PurOrganica

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: The Skin Clearing Treatment comes in an outer cardboard box and inside is the Skin Clearing Treatment which comes in a 30 ml glass bottle. It has a black screw lid which also works as a dropper. The packaging is quite simple Рnothing special really and there is information about the product printed on both the box and the bottle. The treatment itself is a cloudy white-greyish liquid and it smells really strong like alcohol. It says on the bottle that it does contain Isopropyl Alcohol as well as Cucumber Fragrance although the alcohol is the only thing I can smell.

22555001_1789934204632594_3961985538288832602_n22687839_1789934207965927_8895376552813980649_n

INGREDIENTS: Isopropyl Alcohol, Deionized Aqua, 10% Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Vegetable Glycerin, Bentonite Clay, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), 2.5% Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Cucumber Fragrance.

HOW TO USE: Do not shake the bottle before using. Dip a cotton swab into the bottom of the treatment and gently dab onto blemishes and allow to dry. You can also use the included dropper for more convenience.

THOUGHTS:

Like I said above, I have broken out in a few pimples and blemishes on my face and my complexion is looking a bit on the red side. I’ve been applying the Skin Clearing Treatment to my blemishes, pimples and red areas every night before bedtime. I have been using the included dropper instead of a cotton bud to apply it to my face and thanks to the Bentonite Clay – after a couple of minutes of applying the treatment to my skin, the clear-ish liquid turns into a chalky white colour on the skin.

I’ve been leaving the treatment on my skin overnight and each morning I have been waking up and it is still chalky white on my face. Each time I have washed it off my skin has not looked as red as before and my blemishes and pimples seem to be fading slowly. After a week of using – my blemishes are not as noticeable, my pimples aren’t as big and swollen¬† my complexion on a whole has started to look a little healthier.¬†I love how my skin looks after using the Skin Clearing Treatment – I think it does work at helping to clear up blemishes and pimples, and my skin is starting to look clearer but it is not a miracle worker, the results are not instant but after every use you will see better results each time.

I do like the Skin Clearing Treatment and I would definitely recommend it for those with problem skin but I have had to discontinue using it and I sadly won’t be repurchasing. Some of you may know that I have chemical sensitivities / allergies and certain smells, chemicals, ingredients cause me to have migraines and headaches. This product is probably the worst one I have used in ages and I have had violent migraines in my temples and eye sockets for a week straight now since using. No amount of headache pills have gotten rid of them. I’m suspecting it is the alcohol which is in the ingredients formula. So, although I do like the product and it has helped clear up my blemishes and pimples – I cannot bring myself to use it again, the headaches were so severe that I was beginning to feel ill.¬† If you also have sensitivities and chemical allergies I would avoid this product. If you don’t ever get headaches after using certain products – lucky you! You will be absolutely fine after using the Skin Clearing Treatment and you shouldn’t experience any migraines.

DISCLOSURE: I was gifted this product free of charge for review purposes.

Review: Tony Moly – Mr. Smile Patch For Smile Lines, Laughter Lines & Wrinkles

Bits & Bobs of Beauty¬†(an online Korean Beauty store), kindly sent me this Mr. Smile Patch by Tony Moly to try out and review on my blog. I’ve been really looking forward to using this product as since my late twenties (I’m 30 now) I have noticed my skin has changed quite a bit and I can see that my skin is not as plump as it used to be. I have started to notice fine lines, wrinkles and smile lines on my face, which sucks! I mean, I know I’m still young but it really annoys the hell out of me when I look into the mirror and notice my fine lines and smile lines becoming more prominent as I get older. I thought I would try this ‘Mr. Smile Patch‘ from¬†Tony Moly¬†to see if it actually works and helps my smile lines become less noticeable as well.

019
Tony Moly – Mr Smile Patch

Mr. Smile Patch:

The Mr. Smile Patch is a hydro-gel mask from Korean beauty brand Tony Moly. It targets laugh lines with a potent yet gentle mixture of ingredients. Express your sense of humour while treating your face to a nutrient enriched, vitamin-packed mask. This mask is filled with nourishing Berry, Sesame Seed, and Bean Extract which is packed with vitamins that help your skin fight those stubborn laugh lines!

22491749_1787366348222713_1669539004140593692_n22552822_1787366488222699_3070328478585389360_n22549808_1787366491556032_2210362914281774874_n22365160_1787366484889366_1299910610427876663_n

Key Ingredients:

Niacinamide – Soothes redness, helps calm and brighten the appearance of skin.

Collagen – Supports skin structure and elasticity.

Sesame Seed Extract – Full of zinc, an essential mineral to produce collagen, and other antioxidants which helps to detoxify skin.

All Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Alcohol, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Prunus Semulata Flower Extract, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Citrate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Fragance

How To Use?

After cleansing and toning, remove patch from packaging (make sure to peel off the clear liner) and place over laugh lines for 20 minutes.

Remove and pat remaining essence until fully absorbed.

Thoughts:

Like I mentioned above – I have just turned 30 years old so as expected, I have noticed my smile lines becoming more prominent. I thought I’d give the Mr. Smile Patch a go to see if it works and makes them less noticeable and to see if it basically helps me to look more beautiful and younger – ha! So, I followed the instructions and cleansed and toned my face and applied the slippery, slimy, ‘jelly-like’ moustache patches over my laughter lines. After putting the patches on my face, I found it tricky at first to keep them on as they kept sliding down my face and falling off – so to make sure they stayed put, I layed down, kept totally still and left the patches on for 20 minutes.

22449746_1787366584889356_5985713740891112842_n

After I removed the patches I didn’t really see any difference to be honest, no major changes or anything but my smile lines did look a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more plump and firmer and my skin was softer and moisturised, but, nothing to shout about really.

I noticed that the Mr. Smile Patch also contains some questionable ingredients such as methylparaben and artificial fragrance yet it claims to be gentle, so if your into your natural skincare – avoid.¬†¬†I won’t be purchasing the Mr. Smile Patch again, I don’t think it’s worth the money to be fair and I’d rather use a good, natural anti-ageing facial oil on my smile lines instead. I do love the packaging and the whole idea of the Mr. Smile Patch – the moustache like patches are cute, fun and quirky but I think it is nothing more than a gimmick to be honest.

Disclosure: This product was gifted to me for review purposes.

Review: PurOrganica – Ultimate Youth Eye Gel Treatment For Dark Circles, Bags & Wrinkles

I was kindly sent this Ultimate Youth Eye Gel from PurOrganica a few months ago and I have been using every single day since. PurOrganica are a natural, cruelty-free skincare brand and I have a few products of theirs already.

22405672_1786942081598473_2746531873045326314_n22450013_1786941904931824_8859990168083768621_n

PurOrganica claim the Ultimate Youth Eye Gel Treatment will help with dark circles, wrinkles, sagging, puffiness, loss of tone and firmness. It can be used in the morning and at night as an firming eye treatment or as an all over face gel. It can also be used as an under make-up primer. The gel is a completely natural, cruelty-free skincare product and it is made with 70% organic ingredients. The main ingredients are Organic Aloe Vera, Vitamin C, Organic Jojoba Oil, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E which all help to give eyes a youthful and radiant appearance whilst diminishing dark circles and puffiness.

First Impressions:

The Ultimate Youth Eye Gel comes in an outer cardboard box and inside is the eye gel itself which comes in a small 30 ml frosted glass bottle which has a plastic lid and a pump dispenser. There is a bit of info printed on the box and bottle including directions for use, ingredients, etc…. The eye gel is a clear, thick, non-drip gel which glides easily over the skin and it has a gorgeous, natural scent which smells absolutely lovely, quite like cucumbers, after looking at the ingredients list it does in fact contain Cucumber Distillate.

Thoughts:

I’ve been using my¬† the gel as an under eye firming treatment twice a day. I use it of a morning after I wake and I apply it underneath my eyes before I put my foundation, concealer and setting powder on and the gel helps my deep-set eyes appear firm and plumper – it also helps my makeup go on smoother and it stops my concealer and powder from looking creasing. I also put a little bit of the gel on my deep frown line between my eyebrows as well as on my smile lines which are becoming more prominent as I age.

Before I catch up on my beauty sleep, I like to use it as an all over face gel after I have cleansed, toned and moisturised my face and it has helped plump my skin and made my complexion look more youthful and radiant.

After applying the gel to my skin I can literally feel it working straight away by tightening my saggy skin and it feels cool and refreshing on the skin. I wouldn’t say it burns but it does feel kind of ‘minty fresh’ on the skin. I love it.

22489682_1786942088265139_445009406867044985_n22519175_1786942084931806_2345900765823018977_n

The gel absorbs into the skin fairly quickly and it really does work, well it has for me – I could see the difference after only using it once and my under eye area looked smoother and not as ‘sunk in’ as before – also the more I use it the better the results are so because I’m nearly at the end of the bottle¬† I will defo have to be buying it again as I love what it has done for my skin – my dark circles aren’t as dark, my skin looks plumper and my complexion looks healthier and brighter. I definitely recommend this product, especially for those over 30 who are starting to notice fine lines and wrinkles for the first time as well as for those who suffer with dark circles and under eye bags.

Disclosure: I received this product for free to review on my blog.

You can get a bottle of the Ultimate Youth Eye Gel HERE for £13.95.

If you are from the USA Рyou can get it HERE for $10.99.

Review: Burt’s Bees – Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap

I bought the Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap which is made by Burt’s Bees last week in one of my Amazon hauls and I am seriously loving it so far. I have really sensitive skin and psoriasis, so I have learned that washing my skin with a natural and gentle soap is a must. I love Burt’s Bees because most of their products are 99% natural, over half of them are 100% natural and they are all cruelty free.

Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap

The Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap is part of the baby-care range at Burt’s Bees. It is a gentle, 100% natural¬†soap which is¬†mild enough to be used on babies delicate skin.¬†The soap is made the USA and it contains buttermilk¬†which is¬†richer in fats and emollients than whole milk and it is¬†a natural, soothing skin cleanser and skin softener. ¬†The soap doesn’t contain parabens, phthalates, petroleum or SLS ingredients and it is also cruelty-free.

The Buttermilk Soap comes in a small little box and the packaging of the soap is just lovely Рthe box is a gorgeous, honey-yellow colour which features a honeycomb print with cute little bumble bees and a there is a beehive sketch in the centre. There is a little bit of info about the soap on the back and sides of the box.

22448212_1786090901683591_412105921752814874_n22406052_1786091165016898_2513078495653820403_n22405795_1786091331683548_1025837533212599348_n

Thoughts:

I really love this soap and wish I had bought it sooner. I’ve fallen in love with the scent of it,¬†which smells absolutely creamy, natural¬†and gorgeous. The soap does contain parfum/fragrance but it is a natural one and not artificial so it won’t irritate sensitive skin. I love that this soap contains no nasty ingredients at all and it is a 100% natural soap. Considering it is a natural skincare product is really does lather well and feels creamy and soothing on the skin. As you may know, I have psoriasis and sensitive skin so my skin¬†is easily irritated and it is often sensitive and dry but this soap is so gentle on my skin whilst cleansing it and moisturising it at the same time.

I have also been using other natural skincare products in conjunction with this soap and my psoriasis – which flared up badly recently has began to clear up so I’m over the moon, as you can imagine. I really do think that by using natural skincare products works absolute wonders for you when you have sensitive skin or a skin disorder and it is wise to avoid¬†products which contain harsh ingredients¬†which will make you symptoms worse. Always check the ingredients list and research each one if your unsure.

One thing I was baffled about was on the box it says the soap is a 100% natural product but on the website it says it is a 99.4% natural product!

Make your mind up Burt’s Bees. Ha.

I will¬†definitely be¬†purchasing this soap again, gain and again¬†and think I’ll probably use it for the rest of my life because I like it so much. So, as you probably guessed, I 100000% recommend the Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap to everyone and anyone & especially for those with sensitive skin,¬†psoriasis and eczema.

Where To Buy?

I got my Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap HERE on Amazon UK for £3.32.

You can also get it on the website: www.burtsbees.com

Review: Pure Potions – Skin Salvation Bath & Body Emollient Oil For Psoriasis, Eczema & Dermatitis

About two weeks ago now – I received a bundle of skincare goodies to try out on my sensitive skin and psoriasis and review them on my blog. The company who kindly gifted me the products are an amazing, award-winning, natural skincare brand called Pure Potions – all of their skincare products are cruelty-free, natural and free from harsh chemicals such as parabens, perfumes and synthetic ingredients. They are based in the UK but they do ship worldwide. I was also sent the Omega Rich Cleansing Oil which I have already reviewed here as well as their Scalp Oil for my scalp psoriasis – which I’ve yet to review.

22046537_1780392432253438_3361349410382190467_n

What Is The Bath & Body Emollient:

The Bath & Body Emollient Oil is an all-purpose, 100% natural moisturing oil suitable for all skin types and formulated to replenish moisture lost by bathing or showering. Added to bath water or smoothed on after bathing, this rich, nourishing oil reduces the drying effects of water by locking in moisture and can replace the need for potentially-irritating foaming and perfumed body washes or soap. Made from organic hemp, olive, calendula and safflower oils with chamomile and lavender essential oils. The Skin Salvation collection has also won the Best Eczema Range at the 2017 Natural Health International Beauty Awards so this proves how amazing the oil is.

First Impressions:

The Bath & Body Emollient Oil comes in a 200 ml, dark green plastic bottle. It has a white lockable flip-lid an there is a lot of info printed on the back of the bottle, such as ingredients, directions for use, benefits, etc… The packaging looks very fresh and attractive and has a ‘natural’ look. It has a very natural, herbal scent and before I even looked at the ingredients list I noticed that it had a strong cannabis / marijuana scent – after looking at the ingredients list – it does in fact contain cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, I can also smell the lavender essential oil too. The Bath & Body Emollient Oil has a shelf life of 6 months (natural products have a shorter shelf life than products with artificial ingredients) and the bottle is recyclable.

22195936_1784148725211142_4302305012958474343_n22308542_1784148708544477_4803970671444678832_n22195456_1784141828545165_1577218276912109996_n

How To Use The Bath & Body Emollient Oil:

This multi-purposes oil can be added to bath water and applied to damp or dry skin as a moisturising oil, it can also be used as a facial cleanser, a massage oil and a shaving oil.

My Thoughts On The Bath & Body Emollient Oil:

I mainly use my oil in the bath, it says on the bottle to add one or two tablespoons of the oil to a warm bath but I just put about three squirts into my bath straight from the bottle. Whilst bathing in the oil I can feel the oil working it’s magic and my skin instantly looks and feels smoother. When I get out of the tub I can see how well it has worked on my psoriasis because my silver scales have ‘melted’ and my red patches are much lighter in colour.

I’ve also applied the oil after bathing on my damp skin and onto dry skin as a moisturiser. The oil doesn’t feel sticky or greasy and I was surprised at how quickly the oil absorbed into my skin. I rarely take showers, as I prefer soaking in the bath tub but when I do, I apply a little of the oil to my palms and rub my whole body with my hands to make my skin feel soft and smooth and it adds moisture to my dry skin and soothes my irritated, itchy skin.

I’ve only really used the oil as a facial cleanser once or twice as I prefer to use my Omega Rich Cleansing Oil instead but it can and does work as a cleanser for the face. I applied a little bit of oil to my face, massaged it in leaving the oil to soak into my face then washed it off with a damp wash cloth. My skin was left looking clean and feeling soft and it made my complexion radiant and glowing.

After two weeks of bathing in the oil three times a week my psoriasis looks a million times better and I love how pink my patches look instead of bright red. I really wish I took before and after pictures to show you guys what I mean. So although I still have my psoriasis, this oil has definitely helped and they are starting to look like they are disappearing. My skin feels soft and is less dry than before and I just really love this oil and it works AMAZING as a shaving oil – because I have psoriasis on my legs I have been finding it difficult to shave so eek, I have had gorilla legs for a few weeks as my skin has flared up badly. The boyfriend really fancies me, hey! Ha. This oil allows me to shave my legs with ease and I absolutely love it for this reason alone. So, if you struggle with shaving – I 100% recommend giving this oil a try.

The only thing I don’t like about the oil is the need to clean my bath afterwards, I usually just give my bathtub a quick wipe and rinse with the shower head after bathing but with this oil you have to seriously give it a good scrub with elbow grease as the oil sticks to the bath – water alone won’t remove the oil. Not a big problem, I know, but I’m lazy! Ha ha.

Disclosure: This product was gifted to me for review purposes. All words are my own and have not been influenced by the brand and this review is based on my own experience with the product.

Recommended For:

The Bath & Body Emollient Oil is suitable for all skin types but I especially recommend it for those who suffer with eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and dry, sensitive skin.

Where To Buy?

You can get a 200 ml bottle of the Bath & Body Emollient Oil here for £12.99.

A 300 ml bottle is also available for £19.00.

Review: Moroccan Rose Water Facial Mist Spray – InstaNatural

I was sent this Moroccan Rose Water from InstaNatural a while back and it has become a part of my daily skin care routine ever since. InstaNatural is a natural, cruelty-free skincare brand based in the USA. They sell a wide range of organic and natural products including face masks, aromatherapy oils, natural oils, cleansers, moisturisers, toners, etc… and all of their products contain no nasty ingredients such as parabens, colourants and artificial fragrances. I absolutely love InstaNatural and I already have lots of products from the brand and I love every one of them.

22154210_1783419375284077_6716720388944904523_n

What is it?

”Our Rose Water is 100% pure, natural water made from Rosa Damascena flower petals with no artificial fragrances, preservatives or added chemicals. Rose Water is a multifunctional treatment with soothing, hydrating and revitalizing properties. This product naturally balances the skin’s pH and is an effective toner for any dry or troubling skin.” –¬†InstaNatural

First Impressions:

The Moroccan Rose Water comes in an outer cardboard box and inside is the 120 ml white, glass spray bottle which has a spray nozzle and a clear plastic lid. The packaging is simple, fresh and attractive and there is a lot of info about the rose water on the back of the box & bottle including ingredients, how to use, benefits, etc… The Moroccan Rose Water is basically a water spray and it has a subtle rose scent which smells so pretty.

22141010_1783413831951298_3804963736359140322_n22196287_1783157985310216_4496429778912386706_n

My Thoughts On The Moroccan Rose Water:

I absolutely love this spray and use it for everything. I love how it doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals or artificial fragrances – so it is gentle and kind on my sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate my psoriasis or make them worse. It literally smells amazing – I love rose-scented products and this rose water has a gorgeous, natural scent which smells beautiful.

After cleansing my skin, I use this Moroccan Rose Water as a toner by applying some of the rose water to a cotton pad and wiping it over my face and neck to close my pores and prevent blackheads. I also use it on damp skin after bathing and showering too and it helps to hydrate and soothe my dry skin. Now and again, I spray a little onto my hair and scalp and comb through and it makes my hair moisturised, shinier and it soothes my irritated scalp.

My favourite way to use the Moroccan Rose water is to spray some onto my skin after applying my foundation, concealer and setting powder. I just apply one or two spritz of the water to my face and my make-up looks so much more natural and flawless afterwards. It is a great little make-up setting spray and I love how it makes cakey powder appear more dewy and radiant. I  love how this is a multi-purpose spray and it can also be used as a aftershave, for aromatherapy uses, treating sunburn, for removing make-up, perking up tired, puffy eyes and so much more.

Disclosure: – This product was gifted to me for review purposes.

Recommended For:

The Moroccan Rose Water is perfect for all skin types but I would especially recommend it for those with oily, dry or sensitive skin and those who suffer with skin complaints such as acne, psoriasis and eczema.

Review: Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion – Neutrogena

I’ve had this Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion from Neutrogena for a couple of months now. I have tiny blackheads on my nose which I can’t seem to get rid of so I thought I would give this a try to see if it helped to make them less noticeable or even better eliminate them completely.

The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion is a unique cleanser which is made especially to help eliminate and prevent blackheads. It works deep down to remove dirt and oil trapped in your pores, removing the impurities that can lead to blackheads. It contains a powerful blackhead-fighting ingredient to help eliminate and prevent blackheads.

22089842_1783157988643549_3181854930268662280_n22196244_1783157981976883_4546060288469282730_n22196287_1783157985310216_4496429778912386706_n

First Impressions:

The Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion comes in a 200ml transparent bottle which has an orange lockable flip-lid. There is information on the back of the bottle such as ingredients, how to use, etc… The packaging is quite simple and nothing special really. The Cleansing Lotion itself is a clear watery liquid which foams a little when the bottle is shook and it also has a very strong alcohol smell.

My Thoughts On The Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion:

I don’t really like how it smells, it smells quite strong and almost like vodka. I can sometimes be allergic to artificial fragrance and this cleanser does give me a little headache, so if you also suffer with chemical sensitivities, keep this is mind before buying. The cleanser also stings a tiny bit when you first apply it and the strong smells makes your eyes watery. I usually hate products that smell artificial and ‘chemical-like’ and I do tend to prefer natural smelling products. It can also be very drying on the skin so because it contains alcohol I wouldn’t recommend this cleanser if you already suffer with dry skin. I have dry skin and it has been a little bit drying on my face but I make sure to use a really good moisturiser and nourishing face oil afterwards. I think this cleanser would be more suited to those who have normal/combination skin and definitely for those with oily skin as it completely removes all traces of oil on the face.

I really like this cleanser regardless of the smell and I love how well it takes every inch of make-up, dirt and oil off the skin. It’s easy to use – just simply apply a bit of the liquid to a cotton pad or some toilet roll and wipe over the face and neck avoiding the eye area. I’ve been using it on-off for a couple of months now and each time I use it my skin feels cleaner and soft. I love the little radiant shine it gives on the skin after using too. I can’t say it has eliminated any blackheads on my nose but it has stopped any more from appearing on my face. It is great for preventing blackheads but I’m not sure how great it is for eliminating ones that are already on your face. It also hasn’t made my sensitive skin break out in a rash or pimples either which is good. I probably will buy the cleanser again as it has helped to control blocked pores and stopped any more blackheads appearing on my face.

Disclosure: –¬†I bought this product.

Where To Buy?

I got mine in-store at BOOTS but you can buy it HERE on the website for £4.18.

Asda, Superdrug, Home Bargains, Tesco, etc… will probably sell it too.

Review: RUIMIO – Silicone Make-Up Brush Cleaners

So, before, I posted my review on the¬†Core Collection kit from Real Techniques¬†and I thought I’d let you all know how I clean my make-up brushes. I was kindly sent these Silicone Make-Up Brush Cleaners from a lovely company called RUIMIO and they have made my life so much easier. I hate cleaning my brushes by hand and I always feel like they are not being cleaned properly or deeply enough, so I was really excited about trying these out.

21559022_1782439118715436_1242916235771502373_n22050215_1782392398720108_1474416938032992949_n

The two-piece portable set comes in a small box and includes a gorgeous baby pink silicone make-up brush cleaner and a pretty mint green one. They are made with safe, non-toxic, non-porous silicone which is soft and springy and will keep its shape, rinse clean instantly and last you a lifetime. They both have handy hooks too, so you can hang them up to dry after using. The brushes work by cleaning accumulated makeup, oil, dirt and bacteria off of your makeup brushes and you only need to use a little soap or shampoo to clean them, which keeps them in tip-top condition, makes your make-up brushes last longer and prevents bacteria from spreading on the skin which causes pimples, blackheads and breakouts to appear on the face.

22089648_1782439265382088_1606375056709639440_n22050172_1782439268715421_8190965909647713766_n

There are three different cleaning areas on the silicone brush cleaners: a grooved area for larger brushes, a cross-hatched area for shorter-bristle brushes and small nubs for your smallest brushes.

They are so easy to use and all you have to do is wet your brush under warm tap water, apply some shampoo or facial wash to the silicone cleaner and place two fingers inside and gently rub the brush bristles up and down and around against the grooved area, the cross-hatched area and the raised nubs. You can also hold it by hand instead of inserting your fingers. Then you just rinse the brush cleaner under the tap, pat your brush bristles dry with a paper towel and shape them while they’re wet and hang the brush cleaner up to dry.

I really love this little make-up brush cleaning set, the colours are pretty, they look so cute, they are hygienic, they work great at cleaning your brushes and they are super affordable too. What’s not to love?

Where To Buy?

I got my Silicone Make-Up Brush Cleaners here* from RUIMIO’s Amazon UK shop. They cost ¬£4.99 and next day delivery is available.

Disclosure: This product was sent to me free of charge for review purposes.

Review: Pure Potions | Skin Salvation – Omega Rich Cleansing Oil

22046537_1780392432253438_3361349410382190467_n

I was kindly sent a few skin care goodies from the fabulous Pure Potions who are an award-winning, natural skin care brand based in the UK. The products I was sent were the Scalp Oil, the Bath & Body Bath Emollient and lastly, the Omega Rich Cleansing Oil which is what I’ll be reviewing today.

21766487_1780390095587005_2010507784612736600_n

What Pure Potions say about the Omega Rich Cleansing Oil:

Introducing the new Skin Salvation Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil is a 100% natural facial cleanser made with a luxurious combination of rich, effective, botanical oils for daily use to condition, cleanse and moisturise.

It has been formulated as an alternative to soap-based cleansers or make-up removers to cleanse dirt and excess oil from the face without stripping skin of moisture or damaging the epidermis.

When massaged into the skin the rosehip, calendula, sunflower and safflower oils bind to surface impurities, pulling out dirt without clogging pores, and allow them to be gently wiped away leaving the skin clean, soft and hydrated. It can be used as part of a daily skincare regime to remove mascara, foundation and other make-up as well as the grime and pollutants of everyday life.

This super-rich¬†oil also nourishes and protects skin that might need extra care, particularly ageing, fragile or damaged facial skin, because, unlike most brands of cleansing oils, Pure Potions’ Skin Salvation Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil is a blend of carefully-selected natural oils and contains absolutely no perfume, preservatives or other added ingredients. We don’t use even essential oils in this blend because sensitive skin on the face can react to these natural additives; it is just a pure and simple blend of plant- and seed-based oils.

Ingredients: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*
Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil*
Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil
Calendula Officianalis (Calendula) Flower Oil*
*organic ingredients

My Thoughts:

I am absolutely over the moon that I have come across this brand as their gentle products have helped my skin tremendously in such a short period of time. I have been using the Omega Rich Cleansing Oil twice a day, when I wake up – before I apply my make-up and to take it all off before I go to bed. It takes make-up off so well leaving my skin deeply cleansed and even removes waterproof mascara and I love that it doesn’t clog pores on the skin too which will keep pimples, blackheads and whiteheads from appearing. After cleansing my face with the oil I am left with a little dewy shine which makes my skin look radiant and glowing. Luckily, I don’t really get psoriasis on my face apart from underneath my eyebrows but since using this oil is has kept them at bay.¬†It has done my skin the world of good and it looks so much healthier already. My complexion is a lot brighter which I’m so happy about as usually it looks very dull and greyish.

There is quite a lot of product in the bottle and you only need to use the smallest amount as a little bit goes far, so it is long-lasting. I have been using this for about a week now and you would think I haven’t even used any at all as the bottle is still full to the brim

What I also love about the cleansing oil is that it is a 100% natural cleansing oil that contains no parabens, no perfumes, no palm oil, no SLS, no phthalates, no silicones, no PEG’s, no mineral oil and no synthetics. It is probably the safest cleanser you can use on sensitive skin and removes make-up, impurities and dirt without irritating the skin or worsening symptoms.

21762124_1780390208920327_8693363478964169220_n

I apply it all over my face, (sometimes I leave it on for a few minutes to let it deeply moisturise my skin) then wipe it off with a damp wash-cloth. I am not usually a fan of cleansing oils as I like my creams and facial washes but this is an oil I will be using again and again and I will be re-purchasing.

22007781_1780390168920331_2536712393824931532_n

The only thing I dislike about the Omega Rich Cleansing Oil is that after applying to the face it requires you to wash your hands with soap afterwards to remove the oil from your hands, not a biggie really. Plus, I think it is a little expensive at £22 a bottle but as I said before, one bottle will last a long time and the cleansing oil really does soothe, hydrate and cleanse problem skin, thanks to its natural ingredients.

So I suppose you get what you pay for, hey!

Recommended for:

Absolutely anyone can use this cleansing oil! Women, men, children, old and young. It is recommended for those who have sensitive skin and those with skin disorders but even if your skin is healthy you can use it. The omega rich cleansing oil is perfect for those with dry and allergy prone skin, so if you have psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, acne or rosacea – I would 100% recommend giving this cleansing oil a try.

Review: Tropical Soap Collection – Art Naturals

A few months ago, I was sent the lush Tropical Soap Collection from Art Naturals
who are a natural skincare brand selling, natural, BPA-free, cruelty-free and eco-friendly skincare products. They sell essential oils, hair care products, skin care products, bath and body body products, aromatherapy sets and oil diffusers and they even have a men’s collection too!
ART NATURALS TROPICAL SOAP COLLECTION REVIEW
ART NATURALS TROPICAL SOAP SET 1
The Tropical Soap Collection is a 6-piece soap bar set suitable for all skin types and can be used by both men and women. The soaps are all infused with jojoba oil and different aromatherapy oils including lavender, lemon, grapefruit, tea tree, sweet orange and eucalyptus. All individual 4oz soap bars are sulfate-free, paraben-free, mineral-oil free and cruelty-free.
ART NATURALS TROPICAL SOAP SET 2

The Tropical Soap Collection

Floral Detox: a renewing cleansing soap infused with lavender.

Soothing Citrus: a rejuvenating cleansing soap infused with orange.

Tropical Cleanse:  a regenerating soap bar infused with grapefruit.

Miracle Wash: a reviving cleansing soap infused with tea tree.

Cool Mint: a cleansing soap infused with eucalyptus.

Purifying Zing: a cleansing soap infused with lemon.

ART NATURALS SOAP

Ingredients: Sodium palmate (palm oil), water, glycerin, jojoba oil, essential oils, sodium chloride.

Verdict:

I am really loving the Tropical Soap Collection from Art Naturals, they are probably the best soaps for my skin disorder that I have used in a long time and I do really like them!¬†They also come in a pretty enough box to be given as a gift, so I would definately consider purchasing a few boxes to give out as little gifts for birthdays, Christmas, etc… I would love something like this as a present!

The soaps are all pretty good-sized 4 oz bars too. One bar of soap lasts absolute ages and I have only used two bars so far in the few months that I’ve had them, for this reason alone I do think this soap set is worth the money as they are really long-lasting and good quality.

I also found the soaps worked up a good lather too and my skin felt really clean and soft after using them. They do smell really nice although if you were to blindfold me I would not be able to work out which soap was which. To be completely honest, they do all smell quite similar, sweet, pretty, mild and natural ¬†– but then again my sense of smell is awful, so don’t take my word for it!

I have psoriasis and I have found these soaps do not irritate my skin like most others do or cause my skin to flare up and react – I think that is all down to the natural ingredients that are in the soaps and the fact that they are all paraben-free, sulfate-free and mineral oil free. So, I would recommend and I do think these are the perfect soaps for people with sensitive skin, skin problems or skin disorders as they gently cleanse and moisturise the skin without irritating the skin or worsening symptoms.

Get the Tropical Soap Collection here from Art Naturals Amazon UK shop.

The Tropical Soap Collection is £13.95 РSame day & next day delivery available.

Review: TRU LEGS – Instant Make-Up Spray Tan From Home Bargains – It’s only 49p!!!

You guys will know how much I love shopping at Home Bargains for my beauty supplies, it’s local, it’s cheap, and you really do pick up some beauty, hair and skin bargains. Whilst browsing the beauty aisle I came across this instant, wash-off spray tan called TRU LEGS for 49p. Yep, 49p. I had to buy it, I love trying new products out and I wanted to see if it was any good considering it was so inexpensive. I have been using Sally Hansen’s spray tan since the early noughties which is priced at around ¬£9.99 so I was interested to see how it would compare.

TRU LEGS SPRAY TAN FROM HOMEBARGAINS - 49P

TRU LEGS say the spray tan is ‘ for beautiful, flawless looking legs with a natural glow and subtle shimmer. It’s quick drying fine spray creates an even, streak-free finish in an instant. The water-resistant formula helps hide imperfections for a longer lasting result.’

TRU LEGS HOME BARGAINS DARK SPRAY TAN INSTANT MAKE UP_edited

How To Apply?

Its quick, easy and simple to apply, just simply hold the bottle 25 cm from your skin and spray lightly. Blend in with your fingertips until it’s all even and streak-free. Reapply another layer if neccessary and don’t dress until the tan has dried.

TRU LEGS INSTANT MAKE-UP SPRAY TAN 75ml

First I’ll talk about the colour, I chose the DARK one and before I even tried it on my skin I thought I should have probably chose the LIGHT or MEDIUM bottles as my natural skin-tone is quite pale, almost porcelain and I just wanted a healthy glow – I’m not into that tango-ed look! Ha!

TRU LEGS TAN REVIEW
Before applying TRU LEGS
TRU LEGS TAN
After applying TRU LEGS

It has a perfumed scent which is actually quite nice. It doesn’t smell overpowering or unbearable and after applying the tan the pretty smell stays on the skin. It doesn’t smell bad at all which I find with most tanning products.

The coverage of this spray tan is pretty poor to be honest, if you have flawless, blemish-free skin this will not be a biggie for you but if you suffer with psoriasis like me or have scars or blemishes – this will not cover any of your imperfections. I definitely prefer Sally Hansen’s spray tan for this reason alone which I find hides and covers most of my psoriasis and conceals any skin blemishes.

There’s nothing worse than putting fake tan on and getting caught in the rain or going on a girls night out and your clumsy friend spills their drink all over your legs making them look streaky. Well, TRU LEGS claims that its water-resistant so I put it to the test and ran my arm under the tap to see if the tan is water resistant and I can confirm that the water just rolled of my skin like it would if you had baby oil on. Although it’s water resistant, it can be washed off easily with soap and water.

Verdict:

I do like TRU LEGS spray tan and actually think it’s a great little bargain at 49p. It’s easy to apply, easy to wash off with soap and water and water-resistant too so no need to worry about streaky or patchy tan if it rains. The colour of the tan is not as dark or deep as I would have liked but I was happy with the end result which looked natural and lightly tanned. It didn’t really do much for my blemished skin so I wouldn’t recommend this tan for someone who is trying to conceal any marks on their skin. I would recommend Sally Hansen’s Spray Tan for that. It does give a flawless finish and is easy to blend into the skin, my skin didn’t look streaky or patchy either which is good. I don’t think this tan will last very long on the skin and will fade easier than more expensive spray tans. I’m actually surprised with this product and I never thought it would be as good as it is! It’s not the best tan I have ever used but it’s not the worst either! The TRU LEGS from Home Bargains won’t be replacing my Sally Hansen Spray tan but I would consider buying it again.

Review: Blue Zoo – Depilatory Hard Wax Beans For Hair Removal (No Strips Required)

I was kindly sent some of Blue Zoo’s Depilatory Hard Wax Beans to review and I’m not going to lie I have been shitting myself thinking about using them. I am the biggest wimp ever when it comes to pain and I’ve always had the impression that waxing = PAIN. After reading some reviews on the wax beans, I’ve learned that these hard wax beans don’t hurt as much when removed and nowhere near as painful as sugar wax or wax strips.

21751281_10213812415168906_974073718195310934_n

How To Use?

The Hard Wax Beans require no wax strips and are fairly simple & easy to use.

21751666_10213812418368986_176905883856347925_n_edited21617950_10213812419809022_6102698672227145695_n

1) Take the appropriate amount of wax beans to melt.

I used two handfuls of the wax beans, which was well enough for my forearms and upper lip, I even had some leftover

2) Heat the wax to a melting temperature of 68‚ĄÉ

You can use an electric wax warmer or place a bowl inside a hot saucepan of boiling water and heat gently. The wax takes about 10 minutes to completely melt. Be careful not to get any water in the bowl of wax beans.

21752399_10213812421009052_6357648563338569543_n

3) When the wax has melted, it gives off a subtle lavender scent which smells pretty. Test a little bit of the wax by putting a dab of it on the back of your hand. If it is too hot or hurts, wait a minute for it to cool down a little bit. Once your happy with the temperature, using a spatula, spread a layer of the wax on the skin along the direction of the hair growth.

21558619_10213812421769071_8406873449865459035_n

(Remember, your hairs need to be longer than 5mm, if your hairs are too short the wax won’t grab the hairs well and wont be removed. Also, the thickness of the wax you apply will need to be at least 1.5mm. If you spread it too thin onto your skin, it won’t remove any hairs and may hurt when doing so.)

4) When the wax becomes cool, hard and makes your skin feel taut, pull off the wax film with a quick pull against the direction of the hair growth. The faster you do this the less painful it will be.

If you have any leftover wax, you can wait until it hardens and it can be reheated to use again another time.

Ingredients

Colophonium(Rosin), Glyceryl Rosinate, Ethylene/VA Copolymer, Paraffin, Glyceryl Hydrogenate Rosinate, Methyl Hydrogenated Rosinate, Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, C30~45 Alkyl Methicone

Warnings:

Do not use if you have inflamed skin or had a reaction to any wax products in the past. If you have a skin disorder (like me) consult your doctor before using. Also, do not use within two hours of showering or sunbathing. If it is your first time using any wax products, test the wax on a small area 24 hours before using to rule out any skin reactions. If your skin does react to the wax, use aloe vera gel on your skin and discontinue use.

Verdict?

On the packet it says that the Hard Wax Beans are suitable for the removal of body and facial hair on all skin types but if you have a skin disorder you should consult your doctor. I have psoriasis and I remember when I was in beauty school back in the day, my teacher wouldn’t allow me to get waxed because of it, so make sure you get professional advice before using if you have skin problems.

At the moment my psoriasis has flared up really badly, It’s even flared up on my armpits so I decided against using the wax on my body and chose the safer option instead and used it on my forearms and upper lip as those areas are psoriasis-free.

I’m actually surprised that it didn’t hurt, I was expecting to be in tears afterwards but I was proved wrong. I’ll admit I felt the littlest amount of pain but it was bearable and I’m not put off using them again. I found them easy to use, the wax had a lovely lavender scent after melting and when I removed the hard wax film on my skin I could see lots of tiny hairs stuck to it, so they do work. My skin was a little red afterwards but it soon faded leaving me with smooth, hair free skin. I will definitely be using these again and I 100% recommend.

I’ve no complaints about this product and I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Where To Buy?

You can get a bag of Hard Wax Beans from Blue Zoo by clicking here. One 100g bag is only¬†¬£6.66 and if you’re an Amazon Prime Member you can get same day delivery. I do recommend buying some waxing spatulas too, they are quite cheap and you can pick some up here for less than ¬£2.

Review: MABOX – Deep Cleansing Black Mask

I was sent a tube of MABOX’s¬†Deep Cleansing Black Mask to try out & review on my blog and since it arrived I have used it a couple of times already. I do own quite a few black masks already so I’m well stocked up on them right now but it’s always nice to try a new product out instead. I love my black masks and think they are the best thing ever for removing blackheads and blocked pores so I use them a lot. I even posted my own DIY Black Mask¬†Tutorial¬†earlier which was super easy to make and it actually works!

You can read my own DIY Black Mask Tutorial here.

Deep Cleansing Black Mask by Mabox

kk

The Deep Cleansing Black Mask is made in China and comes in a little box, inside is the 50g black mask tube. There is a little bit of info written on both the box and tube which includes the ingredient list and directions for use, although I must say this is written in broken English that does not make sense and there are a few grammar mistakes too.

The mask itself is sticky and black with a runny consistency, it glides easily across the skin and dries within 15-20 minutes, depending how much you apply. Care will need to be taken when applying as it is very drippy and can get messy. The mask smells slightly perfumed and almost like a solvent – quite strong.

k

kkk

The Black Mask helps to rid the skin from blackheads, oil, blocked pores and excessive sebum whilst exfoliating and cleansing the skin. It is recommended for all skin types especially those who suffer from blackheads. It is not recommended for use on acne, spots or inflamed skin.

How To Use It?

Steam your face with a facial steamer to open your pores or fill a bowl up with hot water and place a towel over your head to stop steam from escaping.

Dry your face and spread the mask onto your t-zone, nose, forehead, cheeks and chin or anywhere you have blackheads. Avoid the jaw line, upper lip, eyes, eyebrows and hairline.

Leave on for 15-20 minutes or until the black mask has completely dried on the skin.

Gently peel off the mask, starting from the bottom and pulling upwards

Finish by splashing the face with some cold water to close pores.

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl, Alcohol, Ethyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Polyvinlpyrrolidone, Bamboo charcoal, Xanthan Gum, Essence

Verdict:

I wasn’t a big fan of the scent it had but that didn’t put me off using it. Another thing that put me off a bit was the grammar mistakes on the packaging, I know that doesn’t affect the quality of the product but I just thought they could have at last made an effort with it as it looks unprofessional and makes the product look cheap and tacky.

Although there are one or two things I don’t like about the black mask, it does do the job it’s supposed to, it works. It spread easily on the skin, dried in a reasonable amount of time and didn’t hurt like a bitch when I peeled it off. Once I removed the dried mask from my nose I could see all the sebum, junk, blackheads and dirt stuck onto the strip and my skin looked cleaner and felt soft too.

I would give this 3 stars out of 5.

Where To Buy?

You can get your hands on this Deep Cleansing Black Mask from MABOX here.

It is only £5.99.

DIY Beauty Project: Activated Charcoal ‘Black Mask’

AAQ

In the last few years, activated charcoal has become a must have ingredient in skincare products, mainly because it has wonderful detoxifying properties, it’s great for cleansing the skin of dirt, drawing out impurities and its a godsend for getting rid of blackheads. It’s become very popular for teeth whitening too. I use activated charcoal about once or twice weekly to keep my teeth looking white and polished – check out my DIY Charcoal Tooth Whitening Toothpaste here.

What You’ll Need To Make The Black Mask?

For this DIY you will only need two activated charcoal capsules. If you haven’t got any you can buy some at most healthcare & vitamin shops. I got mine here on Amazon UK. I paid ¬£15 for a bottle of 365 capsules and I only use activated charcoal on my skin and teeth so a whole years supply will last me for ages.

115

You’ll also need some non-toxic PVA glue. I picked a bottle up from the kids craft aisle in Home Bargains for 89p.

11

You will need something to mix it in such as a bowl or tub and a clean make-up brush or flat make-up sponge. I used a lid of one of my moisturisers which was big enough and I also used a make-up sponge as I didn’t want to ruin my make-up brushes.

How To Make The Black Mask?

Pour a dollop or two of PVA glue into the bowl and carefully open each activated charcoal capsule adding the black ‘ash’ to the bowl.

112

Give it a good mix and your done.

113

How To Use The Black Mask?

I recommend steaming your face with a facial steamer for five minutes beforehand. If you haven’t got a steamer just fill a large bowl up with hot kettle water, place your head over the bowl and cover with a bath towel to stop steam from escaping.

Using a brush apply the black mask to your t-zone, nose, forehead, cheeks and chin, or anywhere that has blackheads and blocked pores. Avoid your hair-line and your eyebrows as it will hurt like hell if you peel off hairs.

Leave the black mask on for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it has fully dried on the skin.

Peel off the mask starting from the bottom, gently pulling upwards. Once removed, you will notice all the gunk, dirt and blackheads stuck to it.

114

Splash your face with cold water to close your pores.

Use once or twice weekly for best results.

Verdict:

At first I was a bit weary about putting glue on my face but it is perfectly safe just make sure you use PVA glue or any non toxic child glue. DO NOT use super glue ha ha. I’ve got to say, I’m very happy and impressed with this DIY, it was the easiest thing to make and I’m surprised at how much it looks like store-bought black masks, it works just as good too. It did work at removing blackheads from my t-zone, it didn’t hurt when removing¬†and my skin didn’t feel irritated afterwards.

So, thumbs up this DIY Black Mask was a success!

Review: Bella & Bear – ‘The Pluckers’ Tweezer Set

I was sent this pretty little tweezer set, aka The Pluckers‘ by Bella & Bear, an American beauty brand who sell beauty tools and accessories such as eyelash curlers, make-up brushes, hair brushes and so on. They sell gift cards also which would make a great little gift and Bella & Bear products are available to buy worldwide too. What I love about Bella & Bear is that all of their products have the same matching floral print which is girly and very pretty.
pl

‘The Pluckers’ Tweezer Set

¬†The tweezers come in a gorgeous little floral case which feels kinda ‘leathery’ and looks very ‘shabby chic’. The case is good for keeping the tweezers clean as well as for storing, ideal for travelling. It is perfect size for fitting in your luggage, handbag or make-up bag.

pl1

The tweezers themselves are a mint green / aqua blue colour and they are strong, robust, sturdy and very good quality, I’ll be honest when I saw these I did originally think that they would be crap but I’m pleasantly surprised and happy to say that they look great, work well and do not appear cheap looking or tacky. In the few months since I’ve had them, they have not bent or misaligned which is good news.

pl2

There are 3 different types of tweezers included, they are: fine pointed (for really fine, small or ingrown hairs and splinters), slanted, (for precision work and great accuracy for shaping brows), straight head, (great for hair removal on larger areas. I’ve yet to use the pointed tweezers but I have used the straight head and slanted tweezers on my eyebrows and they grip hairs well, are precise and basically they do a good job! ‘The Pluckers’ have even won beauty awards and have featured in Cosmo beauty magazine as a handbag mush have for women.

Where To Buy?

USA: You can buy here for $14.97.

UK: You can buy here for £13.95. Bit pricey for tweezers but remember this is a set of three, they are great quality and will probably last you a lifetime.
